I love how composed the Captain was throughout the entire encounter...cool calm and collected in the face of a powerful enemy...who says star trek can't teach you real life values!
I'll say it again: this was the moment where The Next Generation became superior to the original series and stepped right out of its shadow. While there were already a number of excellent episodes, from this point on, TNG remained consistently good and just got better and better.
7:15 every single time someone says this in star trek or anywhere like this, it feels like theyre actually saying " i have no idea how to deal with that" instead of sounding cool
I love how SG1 Characters arent dumbasses. Everyone knows better than to dismiss wierd stuff and they are all attentiv always. It also ads to the realism that this is something build up over seasons. Where in the beginning "I saw something no one else here saw" would have ended in that person getting to the infirmary at best, in the later seasons everyone is immediatly on alarm because they have seen to much to be stupid. This show is so amazing
Shouldn't Shelby have told Worf how to change the phaser frequency and random settings since he was the one firing the weapons...? I didn't realize there were phaser banks located in the warp nacelles...? Was that the same kind of error when they fired phaser banks from the torpedo Bay in that episode with darmok?
this sounds like it was ripped off th orignal blu rays which had a recall for this disc because 11001001 and a few other episodes had 5.1 surround errors (mixed up channels) causing the tinnieness.
I remember seeing this part for the first time a gazillion years ago... got chills as the Borg ship appeared to that eerie choral background music. Back when shows knew how to make villains actually scary.
It's small, but a brilliantly acted and written moment, as well as being a callback to the OG series. Spiner's facial expressions as Data are incredible -- you can literally see him trying but failing to determine what the drink is and the "android logic calculations" as he defaults to the one piece of information he can state with accuracy: its color. God, this show was unbeatable. Only _The Simpsons_ could surpass it in terms of quality 90's television, in my humble opinion.
You know, kudos to Majel Barrett; she manages to have full conversations in her voiceovers as the Enterprise computer with the other actors and we don't even think about it.
Robert was selfish and not very respectful to Amy. Even in his proposal he said HE's ready to be happy. LMAO I would have made him wait a couple of minutes. Make him sweat
