It genuinely boggles my mind that this was on NBC. Imagine a person watching something like Law and Order and then they see a painterly image of a person playing the human cello haha
Season 1 is very good. The build up gets you attached to the team (very well I'd say), the twist changes everything and makes things difficult - very similarly to Fringe. When you miss the simple dynamic you had before, but at the same time are excited about the new changes, the show is working perfectly.
I appreciate the love for Agents of Shield, but I must object to skipping episodes of the first season. I know everyone thinks its slow going but you come to care about the characters. The big twist has such an impact because we love these characters.
Schlock show...nothing like Doyle's original books or the 1985 BBC Sherlock Holmes TV series with Jeremy Brett...Robert Downey's movies suck also...trying to appeal to the 40 and unders who've never read the books, just know the character from word of mouth
One thing to summarise all, Hannibal is not JUST a cannibal, its beauty, terrifying, breathtaking and one of those things you'll remember for a lifetime
13:49 Can confirm. I HATED season 4 and remember being so angry after dedicating so much time to Sherlock, and I just re-watched the entire series. After also reading all of the books, I actually very much enjoy 1-3. 4 on the other hand, still sucks as bad as it did 7yrs ago. Came on here to just see what the problem was back then, and it's the same now. Bad writing, pointless macguffins, and treating the audience like idiots. Watching the series through, it's pretty cohesive, and season 4 feels like a hard left right off the tracks.

I got into Sherlock series a month ago and seeing how the show turned out, I was also disappointed but I do not hold any generosity towards it since I have *HIGH* expectations. I got into detective genre since a year back, I saw this good-looking anime about deranged detective. The title was "Ron Kamonohashi: The Deranged Detective". Isshiki Totomaru is the main protagonist and also John Watson character, he's an Japanese police detective that works under his boss's responsibility, Amamiya, if I still remember. She is the boss of Isshiki, strict, uptight and bossy. Just like every other character, Isshiki met with the eccentric detective, Ron Kamonohashi. Black hair and blue eyes, it feels ironic after I watched Sherlock BBC now just thinking about it. I recommend watching it for those who ship Johnlock. Isshiki is highly respected, treated well like a human being, I also recommend reading the manga, Ron love and cares for Toto a *LOT.* It was endearing to indulge both the anime and manga, the main characters even got called as "couples" by other characters occasionally as a "fun". Next up (this one is even memorable to me because I have the character in my pfp), Moriarty The Patriooooooooot- (I'm sorry, I got excited lol) The main characters are the Moriarty's brothers, with extra twist from all detective and James Bond's series, you might have to open your eyes on the manga cause WE'RE HAVING AMERICA ARC with William James Moriarty and Sherlock Holmes together in that timeline! Like I mentioned earlier, the main characters are Albert James Moriarty, William James Moriarty and Louis James Moriarty. The three criminal brothers or aka the gray characters who wanted to fix the class British system in the late 18th century. I can't spoil much so please, PLEASE watch the anime and read the manga I fking beg of you. Everything about William and Sherlock is totally worth it for the Final Problem episode in season 2. Hence I came with high expectations, ofc I will be disappointed and bitter just watching Sherlock BBC. I had told this exact comment every time whenever I see the ending, I will stick with Moriarty The Patriot no matter what. Adios~
I’m a big fan of Mads Mikkelsen. But stopped watching this series as it’s another woke ones. Race and gender swapping as usual. Jack Crawford became black, Freddie Lounds became a strong independent woman, there’s an Asian woman now. I lost the apetite as I don’t want to see some more wokeness. Tired of it.
I had trouble figuring out Hannibal after I watched this television series, and the movies, and reading of Thomas Harris’s books. Recently I watched a movie called “Mind Cage,” and it cleared up a few things for me. Going back to the television series, I realized that for Hannibal everything is about aesthetics and the beauty of art. So a human life fades in comparison to art. Art for Hannibal is so much more important. The art of French cuisine and the art of displaying a human body for others to see. It is an issue of aesthetic values for Hannibal; the taking of a human life is of low value for him, whereas cuisine and the display of a body is of very high aesthetic value for Hannibal. Tom Sisson

It’s the worst series I seen, so all that surround him were in one way or another his accomplices and they all knew about who was doing the kllllngs and help him escape plenty times and they all can keep working as agents and psychologist, the lady psychologist helped her woman lover unalive her brother and she still a psychologist, they help one way or another and they can have a happy ever after. Hannibal wasn’t smart how they made him seem all the information was given to him by the same dumb agents, he knew EVERYTHING. So some may say well he was such a good psychologist he used him as his puppets NOPE he dr!ged them!! People give him too much credit. Yes he was a great manipulator but a genius? NOPE! I only seen the movies and by watching the movie in one way you feel remorse for Will because we don’t know the back story, you get happy knowing he has a family but after watching the series he didn’t deserve it!’ He and Hannibal as one did a lot of harm. Even after his rehabilitation and “clear mind” he still saved a SK! I get why they wait they were a couple.

The 2000s killed it in tv dramas! 24, Sopranos, The Shield, House MD, Dexter, The Closer, Law & Order, The USA network Blue Skies shows like Burn Notice and Monk etc. Idk if we'll ever see a golden era like that again. Tv is far less creative today.
