@@gaius3200 the movie isn't better, that's nostalgia talking, I've never read the books so I couldn't tell you but usually I don't compare visual mediums and novels as I tend to prefer books anyways regardless of the beauty of visual mediums. But comparing the movie to the series which is a little unfair because Hannibal TV has more screen time, but then again movies should have a larger budget and be more cinematic. Despite that I think the Filmworks in Hannibal TV is still better, they were underfunded by NBC and yet managed to look miles better than any other show on at the time. Which I would say elevates it. Not to say the movie is bad by any means but I would wager than this new Hannibal is better in terms of characters, dialogue, cinematography, etc etc. Especially Will Graham, they made his character so much better than it was in the film.
@@hairtrigger8317 no It gets exactly the amount of hype it deserves, it's not underrated so much as not enough people watch this highly praised show, because the people who do watch it love it.
For those of you who haven't seen this series, strap yourselves in for one of the most engrossing, beautiful, horrific stories about the nature of the mind and soul put to screen. It doesn't overstay it's welcome. Season 3 is a bit of a mess, but just just stick with it till the end. This shit will change you.
@@XWDK Yes. There are definitely some moments that seem like a stretch in the writing department, but season 3 is what brings it all together and brings Will and Hannibal's story to a close.
This show was criminally underrated, it was impeccably made and the actors were just amazing, when else are you going to get such and amazing cast? I really do hope Netflix brings this back.
Alisha Macaulay do you mean hannibal and will are dead? they’re not, they both survived the fall. the post credits scene showed that plus bryan fuller confirmed
@@alinaedwards5685 They purposely left it open to interpretation so they could bring it back if they wanted to later and if not then it was left just fine, I haven't seen anywhere that Fuller confirmed they were both alive.
@@brometheusthefirstbro4302 Except Hannibal makes Dexter look like a dollar store knock off, not to knock the show Dexter I liked it a lot too but just comparing the characters of Dexter and Hannibal they are in completely different leagues imo.
Can someone plz tell me that when Hannibal is revealed as a killer? Coz I havent started this show yet i still know Hannibal is the killer. So should I watch this or consider this series as spoiled to me?
One of the best shows that was on broadcast TV, it was way ahead of the time. Sucks NBC had to cancel it after Season 3, I can't believe this was a NBC show when it felt like a show you would see on AMC or HBO.
NBC took some big risks and saw it's brilliance, thanks to them it got aired. But yup they had to cancel it due to poor ratings. It was niche, ahead of it's time and on a network TV
Like shaon said, it failed due to.low ratings. But not for lack of fanbase. On the contrary, this show had a huge fanbase. It failed because a majority of the viewers watched it from pirate websites, so the network didnt see enough ad revenue to proceed with a 4th season.
shaon bhattacharya here’s the thing tho... sure NBC took risks airing this but they did shit all for it. We fans HATED NBC. They stuck it in the worst time slots during the week and never actually promo’d it except for the week leading up to the season. AXN did s better job with promos. NBC was pure shit. Ofc ppl pirated it-they couldn’t watch it when they aired cause the time slot was the slot with lowest viewership
I agree! The last season was a bit odd and boring in the beginning but the ending made it all worth it, it was beautiful. The first 2 seasons were so good though. People are annoying with wanting to continue to series, like bro stop ruining the deep and beautiful ending. Literally the beginning of the third season was wack so what makes them think dragging it on further would make it better? They want to ruin a perfect show.
Stop jughing people wanting a season four like I keep saying it might have ended great does not mean season 4 will be terrible stop trying to ruin people wanting a season four back off. To the roi
Please don't ruin a perfectly good story that has a beginning, middle, and end with you incessant need to constantly consume media to fill whatever void it is in your life that leaves you so constantly unfulfilled.
@@Beghty27 ??? This show was literally planned to be 4-5 seasons, I support letting the show-runners/writers complete the story they wanted to tell. All Hannibal season finales work as series finales, doesn't mean we don't want them to continue the story.
actually, idk where or when i find out that there was a hannibal series and i tought: "meh, i think that it will be like another bloddy and maybe something like bad done series but....... no... i L O V E this show, i LOVE IT so, i can say that that is my case
This is maybe my favorite show ever, and I'd be perfectly content if things were left as they ended in S3. The only reboot I can readily think of that blew me away, let alone satisfied me at all, was Twin Peaks The Return. Aside from that, disaster track record. I'm cautious.
@@michaelblum4557 honestly i thought about this at first and was fine with S3 as the finale. But then I’ve watched the whole S1-S3 thrice! And realized, this is not enough!! I need more of Hannibal!!!!
The Silence of the Lambs is my favourite film. And I hate when they make TV shows out of films I like. So I had no interest, but I decided to put it on one day. I think it's incredible. I loved everything about it, from the atmosphere, the soundtrack, the cast and what they did with Hannibal. Now when I think about Lector, I think about Mads. Brilliant. He was excellent. Sir Hopkins would be proud.
I just realized this isn’t a real Netflix trailer. Hasn’t stopped me from watching it everyday since I started rewatching the show. Thank you, TVJunkie. This trailer takes me back.
There are no words to express how much I love this show. It will forever be one of TV's finest, a beautiful, at times terrifying, and often surprisingly heartbreaking piece of art.
The dialogue and psychology of the entire series is unmatched!! Researched on Netflix and and it was better than the first time. So dark and emotional, thought provoking. If they renew it on Netflix my whole brain will explode!!!
Eh, the psychology is fair, but it makes a fundamental mistake in assuming that Will Graham can't be autistic because of his Hyper-empathy. Its a frustrating falsehood. If anything, his hyper-empathy only makes his being on the spectrum even more blatant.
Hannibal is one of the better shows I support the show so much I am a huge a huge fan of the character and the show just made me so surprised and Bryn made me like the character even more I can watch the show over and over the story is great year sure season three. Ight have been blanned its because your used to the gore only but you can eve. Get into the story and great performance they did season three ending can help make another great season season 1two 3 good and I give the show 10 out of 10 for every season the show is full of beauty and emotions and another season will do the same thing trust me on that one
This is amazing!!! I'm in the fandom for so long and can't wait for Hannibal to finally get the recognition it deserves and hopefully we're gonna have another 3 seasons too! #SaveHannibal
hannibal s3℅℅ everyone has there opinions. Look its kinda true what you said but you do know we need to respect Bryn fuller don't be rude to fans because she is defe ding for season four but you will thank Bryn what he is about to give us his new seasons will good the matter what once you see it and the three more seasons are good I will thank him for the great story telling I'm exited what Bryn fuller what he is going to bring us no point complaining and making false words saying season 4 is terrible because you did not want another season so how about you get a box of tissues
hannibal s3. Maybe you should move on what I said is true the only reason why you responded to me because you can't deal with the truth so the only person is to move on is you because you responded to me because you can't move on from the truth what I said. So I wish you the best and move on thank you for reading
Guess what sometimes when shows end well they diserve another go I know what you might say just move on stop crying like a little bitch or just expecpt the fact that this show does not need another season the show ended well don't make excesses that. Might be true but Bryn fuller is the creator of the show we need to respect him and I'm hoping for another season like I said when the new season comes out and its good you will thank him for the great work telling me wish me the best come on you can do better then that
If you haven't seen this series, you NEED to. It is beautiful and horrifying, you can't look away from the intricate horror of this show. It is legitimately one of the best shows I've ever seen, and it definitely deserves a revival!
Eat the rich- I mean the rude Hannibal is definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen. You can never get bored of it; every time you watch it you notice something you didn't before. Sidenote, if you have some psychotic issues and "catch symptoms" easily (hard to explain, but it happens to me from time to time), perhaps don't watch this show on your darkest of days, trust me on this.
I fully understand you. Since i saw the series for the first time in 2019 i said the impact and trauma was to much... I changed me, i discovered my darker side. Since then hannibal lived in my head. This had just started. But i fell in love with a girl, the place hannibal had in my mind and heart was replaced. But since all loved died to me. I decided to return were my heart was always decided to be, not with a girl because it always ends but with him. Now in 2022 i decided seeing the series again, knowning that the chip that was replaced was going to insert again, turning me into a monster. I thought that love was going to eternal and that i will never need of hannibal again. Now i returned and i know what im turning into. But i know its the better for me. Being what im supposed to be. Exterminating my feelings for humanity. I wonder if one day someone will try to change me like will did to hannibal. For now the teacup is shattered. 27/03/22
Interesting. I have ASPD (antisocial personality disorder) and plenty of "dark days"; this comment just made me even more interested in watching the series, just to see my own reaction to it. I'm curious
OK I have to say I got good news and bad news the good news is there is a chance for buffilo bill being in Hannibal season 4 as on there is actors that Bryn fuller is going to choose from who is perfect for the role so it looks like we are going to see buffilo bill but the bad news is god this pisses me off Bryn said Bryn tryed to convince mgm to let them add Clarice in the new Hannibal season and this were this the part when it gets sad because mgm own the rights to Clarice and they have there own plans for Clarice a prequel series with out Hannibal lector but still having buffilo bill what am I trying to say what I'm trying to say is we would not see Clarice in season 4 I know its hard to hear but p!ease don't give up hope if we won't see Clarice in season 4 it can do daminging for a new season and this is a message to mgm just because you have your own fans and your own plans does not mean you don't have to care about us as fans what we want you rather do a series that we don't want by not doing a season four please mgm please have a heart you might have your own plans but it does not give you the rights to not care what we want and just disrespect us so mgm give. Bryn fuller and let us be happy what we want
This is stunning, you’ve captured the beauty and enigmatism of the series gorgeously! The use of the soundtrack from the very end of season 2 gave me chills!
I loved this series. Absolutely broke my heart when they cancelled it on NBC, I've watched my box set over and over, but honestly will probably hit Netflix now too :)
There is a line between TV series and art. This show is fine art. It's a 10/10 from start to finish, and I have never had that experience with any other series. It's criminal this only has 3 seasons
@@TVJunkie93 yes, it is my first time watching it! I watched the movies first and loved them and I had heard so many good things about the series that I decided to watch it and they were so right, the series is amazing: the plot, the characters, the aesthetics...
@@TVJunkie93 I'm watching for my fourth time. I catch something new each time I watch it. My current thing is the teeth the Red Dragon puts in. To me they look like Ted Bundys teeth. Does anyone know about the teeth.?
Such a good series! Hopefully, it'll get something like a Lucifer-like revival through increased popularity on Netflix (already rewatching the series myself too)!
@@theroisvegan I thought it wasn't the original ending though? I've heard they were originally going to continue with Bryan Fuller's version of Silence of the Lambs, just as most of the final series was Red Dragon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ...However, anything revival-based wouldn't be possible with Internet influence atm (MGM has the rights to Silence of the Lambs and it'd take a lot of rights distribution junk to happen anyways). Btw, definitely recommend checking out the original Harris books and movie adaptations if you liked the show (Hannibal Rising isn't the best, but Silence of the Lambs is an old classic, along with Red Dragon and Manhunter)! ^^
You keep saying the same thing stop replying yo people because you don't want a season 4. Let people want season 4. Your the one trying to ruin everything by trying to ruin hype for season 4 just let people be happy and stop jughing people what they want so don't open your mouth. One of top best series the 2010's!! Beautifully made and extremely underrated!! 5 years since it was ridiculously cancelled, but still hoping for a film version or a couple more seasons to be made of this excellent and captivating show.
This show is underrated asf and is one of my favourite shows of all time, i kinda hope with it being it on netflix they can bring it back with season 4, season 3 if i remember correctly kinda ended in a cliffhanger, this show is amazing
This show needs a comeback like now. I don't even know why it was discontinued in the first place. The artistic vision of the show was unlike anything I've ever seen.
For someone like me who has never watched any of the actual trailers or even the show, and my introduction to the show is through this trailer, I must say, very well made
Just watching it a second time on Blu-ray and I am amazed how much more you understand when you watch it a second time. What the characters think and do becomes more clearly when you already know the outcome. I hope Netflix or someone else will make a 4th season. Season 3 had a great final and it could stay this way but I still would love to see more of Wills and Hannibals bizarr relationship.
So deliciously dark and twisty. . .oh how I love this show. I thought I was obsessed with Grey's Anatomy (and numerous movies/books) then Hannibal came along and took me to whole new level. It's been a while since my last watching but I read about it everyday 🦌🫀🧠🔪🖤
Bravo Netflix as being a avid fan who has watched it twice this trailer is truely one of the best trailers representing a show for someone who hasn’t watched it yet, too get them to start watching it... spread the word, get the go fund me page for season four going.
I just finished the series. Season 3 finale was incredibly beautiful. I hope Netflix bring this back. Phenomenal. Everything about this show was fantastic, dialogue is smart and thoughtful. Loved it.
TVJunkie ..Netflix. Might have been my recommended list. I’d never knew there was a series. I put it off for a while thinking it wouldn’t be any good. But the dialogue was fantastic. And Hannibal’s character slowly grew on me. Mad Mikkelsen and Gilian Anderson... just wow.
Currently watching it and so far it’s easily one of the best show I’ve even seen. It keep on the edge of my seat every episode. Can’t wait to watch the end
Thank you for writing unofficial in big letters and not being a clickbating soab. I loved this! It was beautifully edited (at least, for my non trained eyes).
Oh God someone please help me ,I binge watched this show in covid 19 stay at home and love love loved it but all people around me already seen it but I'm in excitement phase and constantly want to talk about how amazing this show was ,how sexy hannibal actor was ,how everything was perfect
One thing to summarise all, Hannibal is not JUST a cannibal, its beauty, terrifying, breathtaking and one of those things you'll remember for a lifetime
Came across this show on Netflix. Didn't realize it was on tv first. It's one of my favorites now, it's so addictive. I hope they will do other seasons.
The art of killing and a stronge bond between a serial killer and a cop is just fascinating. I enjoyed every bit of this show. I recommend everyone to watch it.
This series was on my Amazon Prime and I kept passing it by. Mads cover art kinda was intriguing but not much. Well, Edward Norton is from Maryland and I somehow watched all 3 Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal) films backwards. After finishing up, I said "OK, let's give this series a shot". Wooooow to the woooooow. I'm immersed and can't stop watching. I'm in the middle of S2 with hopes that AP keeps it at least until the weekend. 😂
We are always gonna love Anthony Hopkins for his unforgettable portrayal of Hannibal Lecter. IMO though, the Mads Mikkelsen really made the character his own. He did not try to be a cheap knock off of Anthony Hopkins. He gave an incarnation of lecter that is unique with his own signature, in the same way Joaquin Pheonix did to Joker.
We're at the end of groundbreaking tv. This is almost 10 years old and I don't think we'll see anything this good again. Go find this show - stream it from wherever it's currently available. Then suggest anything half as good as this and I'll happily watch it!
How is will being dead make for a good ending at all. He played with his vulnerable mind and made him believe that he couldn't survive without him to the point where he felt if hannible was dead he needed to die too. The show started off good but then became very stranger mid season 2 and the Ending was horrible in my opinion
Matt Miller Will and Hannibal survived the fall off the cliff. Will’s whole journey was his corruption arc, as he was already one messed up dude since the beginning, and Hannibal saw that immediately. Even in the fifth episode that Angel maker guy was talking about Will’s “becoming”, foreshadowing his fall to darkness. It’s almost exactly like Hannibal and Clarice in the books, except without the weird incest stuff (personally) tainting that book for me.
I just finished Season 2 - It's ending hit hard, I understand Hannibal's relationship with Will up until then. Hannibal let Will in and actually respected the Man, started to view him as an actual friend, then Will betrayed Him, But Hannibal didn't want to kill him, so he left him there to see what would happen. You can tell because Hannibal wouldn't have ever revealed his identity to the FBI unless a person he viewed as a friend suggested it - hence WIll. I can relate more to Hannibal than Will. Besides the creepy cannibalism stuff that I'm not into.
The beginning with the Chesapeak ripper almost spoils a little too much in my opinion, even if everyone already knows it's Hannibal. Still, doesn't belong in a trailer if you ask me. The rest was amazing. Perfectly edited, especially with the music and the introduction of the actors. Very well done!

It genuinely boggles my mind that this was on NBC. Imagine a person watching something like Law and Order and then they see a painterly image of a person playing the human cello haha
I've never seen such stunning cinematography before . Every episode is like an art house film. You can pause at every second and you have a painting you could hang up
I had trouble figuring out Hannibal after I watched this television series, and the movies, and reading of Thomas Harris’s books. Recently I watched a movie called “Mind Cage,” and it cleared up a few things for me. Going back to the television series, I realized that for Hannibal everything is about aesthetics and the beauty of art. So a human life fades in comparison to art. Art for Hannibal is so much more important. The art of French cuisine and the art of displaying a human body for others to see. It is an issue of aesthetic values for Hannibal; the taking of a human life is of low value for him, whereas cuisine and the display of a body is of very high aesthetic value for Hannibal. Tom Sisson
