Cool looking cichlid for sure!! Maybe Mayan? We have a Texas cichlid (aka Rio grande cichlid) that’s a native Texan. Coloration different but shape just like it. I think the horn on the head are males?? Could be wrong
Sounds like you decided to continue using the ODI Grips based on a comment reply in here (glad to hear). However, as a PSA I wanted to point out that you MUST use the Riva bar end adapter on the factory bar to make it round(not hex shape). If you do not use these, the ODI or Riva grip end clamps WILL NOT work/clamp correctly causing the grip to possibly fail like this! Unless you didn't show the part I'm mentioning in the video you installed these incorrectly and may still not be correct if these round adapters weren't purchased. Happy riding! 🤘
I've GPS'd my 2023 GP at 65mph bone stock and that's fast enough for me. Quicker acceleration is what I would want and it sounds like these mods would do it. Thanks for the info!
@@tommytsadventures sounds good. Riva has a Stage 1 kit available with all the upgrades you've installed minus the ride plate. It will make a good winter project.

Thanks Henri we had a blast! Lol, she walked away so I had to catch it. That stingray had me stumped. It's feels like you foul hooked a fish. That manatee was so cool to see. They are always swimming by. It's not the last time I will catch a tree, especially fishing around mangroves, 😁
Good vids. Planning on picking up my first jetski and was really learning towards the gp svho...now you have me thinking the HO route with the mods is the safer and smarter way to go. Quick question ....after mods are you required to run 91 or 93 octane ? Unsure if the stock HOs are 87 ? Thanks. 👍
Thanks! With the mods, I still run 87 octane. I did try high octane and no difference. With the SVHO you have to run with high octane. I chose the HO for fuel economy and less maintenance. Can't go wrong with either ski. Thank you for watching and commenting!

@@tommytsadventures this was cool, a back to the basics beach-hop date. You ain’t lyin tho that was butter smooth out there. The kinda day you could run out a bit farther than normal and push the limits. Buuuuut ya gotta pay the bills too. Good weather always waits till I’m on call also
@fishing4dinner The ocean was like glass. I usually have my dive gear in my truck but took it out a few days earlier. I would have definitely gone snorkeling. I always seem to be oncall when the water conditions are perfect but like you said, gotta pay the bills!

So you have to put holes into your hull!? It seems like if you drill holes into the hull with any bumper it would work the same because the wave rx attaches to the rub rail the same as the one you do not like. I bet the wave rx will work the same as the rectangle one does for the people who aren't going to drill random holes in there skis haha
No I didn't drill any holes in my hull. The WavesRx soft cleats attach to existing bolt holes on your ski. Remove the bolt from your ski, slide the soft cleat over the bolt, then reattach the bolt to the existing hole.The WavesRx fender bumpers attaches to the soft cleat and provides more surface coverage/protection than any other fender bumpers on the market.
@tommytsadventures so all those are factory bolts? I have a 93 waveblaster 1 and a new superjet. there isn't much factory holes to work with. No shore for my scissor stands and my aunts lake house so I have to tie to her dock. Is there otherwise of securing these or would the rectangle one be a better option for me? In your opinion
@jeffbryner5355 the WavesRx fender bumpers has a clip that can attach to your handle bars and secured that way. You can also attach it to the rear grab handle behind your seat.

Came over from our other thread. Has this been a good setup for you? I dont have a problem with drilling to accommodate a real robust bracket to hold a larger sounder and have it extra secure. Honestly, a fishpro is what i should get.. but im not into doing the conventional way. I want a super gnarly ripping ski and i also want it to fish about as good as a fishpro. Hahaha. We shall see where that takes me! I found the original site for a shop thats making GP sounder brackets. It WAS BoondocksPWC and now is Great Lakes Ski Shop.. looks like he only produces limited quantities and opens the site on the 1st of the month with whats in stock. Gonna have to contact this dude somehow
This set up has worked well for me. No complaints. I'm a Yamaha guy myself but the fishpro is a good ski for fishing. It's slower than what I want though.
No joke, i want something that RIPS when im not fishing. I will likely fish quite a bit… i love to fish for sure. But i am tired of seeing alllll the fish pro skis EVERYWHERE as well
If you guys don't want to spend money, just do the ribbon delete. Definitely most gains out of all mods. Then the air intake. You can then do an exhaust for about $50. That is what I did, save money from the Riva exhaust, same result. just my 2 cents.
Would you take the gp1800 if you fished offshore a lot or would you go with a luxury ski? Im really thinkin about getting my wife and i two of the 2024 GPHO for doing EVERYTHING. I will probably do a bunch of fishing
The gp does great for fishing but for the wife, the fx does better in choppy waters. I personally would still choose the gp because of the handling and performance.
@@tommytsadventures i appreciate the response. The gp looks like a darn good time. We are coming from CO and snowmobiles to FL and buying jetskis. Would/can you cross to Bahamas on the GP? We anticipate doing that as well
@@williamlutsch4259 You can absolutely make the crossing on a GP. Lots of people do it. But it can be a rough ride. If you don't want to get beat up too bad I would definitely go with the FX cruiser. Way more comfortable ride. Welcome to Florida! Maybe I'll see you out on the water one day.
@@tommytsadventures theres a really good possibility we will run into each other. We plan to do a LOT of exploring and joining in on meetups. We will be in the Melbourne area in 12-18 months. We are busy selling our mountain related toys and securing housing and such.. cant wait to be in the “tropics”
Hi there, for your info. I found an easy way to remove impeller. Remove pump cone, there is a big bolt there. Hold down your impeller with a crescent wrench, then righty tighty with an impact gun on the bolt, impeller will release with ease. This trick worked great. No heat no torquing, just an impact gun.
Hello again, just installed a Solas Concord 11/15 Impeller on my 2015 VXR. Without the impeller I got 65Mph. Will keep you posted on my results soon with the impeller change.
@@tommytsadventures Well, did some testing today with the addition of the Solas impeller. Gained about 3mph from the stock impeller. Went from 64mph to 67 mph.
We couldn’t quite make out what Darcey said about catfish & Carson. He said tho that they should team up and organize a catfish tourney haha Those juvenile muttons sure had pretty colors.
She said something about the catfish competition and teaming up with Carson, lol. Those juvenile mutton are colorful. Yesterday the ocean was like glass. Would have been perfect for offshore fishing. Of course I was oncall and couldn't get out there.
