Thank you for the nice video.. It was very helpful for me since I have 3 newly hatched Zebra Finch chicks now.. But I realized that you haven't shared any videos for 7 years. I hope you and our birds are okay...

I'm making this for my Cockateils atm and the problem is my Cockateils chew on a low of stuff and I wanna ask if Construction paper is safe for them because I don't want them to die.
I have a friend that has 2 budgies, she sorta mistreats them. They are in a small cage, with only food and water, no toys, nothing. I wanted to make them happy, because they seemed sad all the time, so i decided to make these, and gave them to my friend. They love it! Thanks!
That's actually what I'm doing right now except I'm making them for myself, I have 2 Cockateils and they've been living in a small cage with just food and water for 2 years and now I'm preparing to ask my mom for a bigger cage for me to put toys in.
i had a bird name lime she flew away when my dog barked and she hit a window she was so scared she flew away rip lime😭😭😭😭😭😭 but i did get lime jr but hes not the same😔 but hes still really cute☺️
My 5 day old baby zebra finch looks like the Day 1 version in your video. It didn't have any feathers until Day 3. It started chirping today :) mine has pink flesh
I believe toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls are toxic. Something they use in making them. I gave them to my birds to play with, too, until I read several different articles stating that they are toxic. The other toy looks great, if made with safe cardboard. Think I'll try it!
my bird has been 1 year in this place until his mate died now his not really that tamed but still in progress i have a fully tamed munia here in my desk
Guys!!! I cannot stress this enough ive seen so many videos that give you wrong info!!! PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BIRD TO CHILL FOR A COUPLE DAYS! Immediately when they get home and they're in their cage you should be spending plenty of Time with them doing what you would ussually do in their presence. They need to know that you'll be around forever and they need to know from the START. Don't start touching them, just talk to them and encourage them to come out of the cage and play around a bit. Put some food and and make sure they're higher up than you because it makes them feel safe. Don't make loud and confronting sounds or movements and make sure you put them in the cage/spot where they will be permanently living or where they will be for a while. Birds are very intelligent and give away alot of signs if they're happy, mad, sad or uncomfortable. Make sure to read that body language and give away your own body language. If they go out of their comfort zone on the first or second day or whenever really make sure to calmly congratulate them and read their body language before you try to encourage them to do it again so that they know it's the right or wrong thing.
Ok so it looks like your bird needs socializing. I think what you should do is get the bird in a carrier and just take it with you on a walk or where there are a lot more people. This should be slow (start with a couple people and then slowly increase the amount.) Make sure that every interaction is positive (use treats, soft talking, no sudden movements). Keeps doing this until your bird is fine with people (no biting) then start the normal taming process. This took me about a month for a Congo African grey parrot I fostered and my galah who was a rescue. I'm sure it should work for smaller parrots as well.
@@samupshall2822 how do you react when he bites and what treats have you tried? Also was your bird recently separated from your grandma? It could be the stress of that which is causing it to bite you.
Shinee's back. He was my bed but she started playing with him before I could and when he bites it really hurts so I kinda scream and no he was separated a while ago
I just got 2 pairs of Superb parrots a year old in just a week now, they look very unsettled each time my hands goes into their cage, it possible to tame them or is too late because they a year old?
If only it was this easy to tame my cockatiel ;-; I have had my store bought cockatiel for 2 years now and I've tried every trick and tip in the book to tame her, yes, I know some people will bombard me with ''AdOpT dOn'T sHoP'' or ''YoU cAn NeVeR tAmE a StOrE bOuGhT bIrD'', I couldn't ''ADOPT'' a cockatiel because I had no adoption center near so yeah also anything is possible :/ So, I tried putting my hand in the cage for 1-2 hours a day and lurring her with millet spray. She is comfortable with her cage and stays outside her cage almost all day and everyday. She seems to step up on my hand with no problem when millet is on my hand but I approach her with my hand with no millet she'll just bite me and run away. I let her cage door open everyday and she would fly all the way to my dining table. She seems happy and comfortable, all she just won't do is trust my hand! Does anyone have any tips on my problem? If so thank you so much, you would be my life saver! :D P.S: I am Putting this on other videos on how to tame birds, so that I can combine all the tips and ideas. Not that anyone cares ;-;
Try making it stand on your finger with millet and say the word up-up then when he/she get used to it and master it. Do it again and say up-up without millet, and if it doesn't work, try it, but the millet is gradually far away until you don't use millet.
I don't think those beads are safe for any bird to play with, they're small and can break and get swallowed I recommend non treated bigger wooden beads so they can't accidentally swallow or break.
