We started a RU-vid channel to share our motorcycle (mis)adventures. Our big goal is to go wildcamping and ride offroad trails with seperate bikes in the near future. So subscribe to our channel to get the updates. Tot zo!
@@Skidmate Blijf vooral zelf mooie content maken. Ik ben nu bezig jullie oudere content te bekijken, nadat RU-vid me jullie laatste video had voorgeschoteld.
Hope you know that month's without an "r" in the name is an automatic open fire ban in Sweden. Even in places that has a fireplace you have to check if it allowed to use it.
Hi! Ah thanks for calling that out. This is really important. We did use this website to check for fire bans and there was no fireban at the time (in the area we were in): www.krisinformation.se/en/hazards-and-risks/gras--och-skogsbrand/fire-bans
Great to see you guys finished the Norwegian part of the TET! First offroad trip is an awesome accomplishment. (ps: love the music you guys mixed in with the video, but would like to know who the artists are...?) Looking forward seeing more video's!
Hey Rob, thank you for your kind words!😁 Glad you liked the video. The music we used is: 1. Lars Eriksson - On and On 2. Origo - Ruins (feat. Halyn) 3. Victor Lundberg - In Bloom All stock music from Epidemic Sound😁 Hope it helps you out. Cheers!🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♀️
In 2016, there was a general ban on bonfires in forests and fields from 15 April to 15 September, but there are exceptions: "It is still permitted to make a fire where it obviously cannot cause a fire". In addition, the municipalities can grant permission for bonfires if local conditions so require. The exception also applies to established campfires.
Heey. Thanks for your comment! The campfire 🔥 in this video was in Sweden and there was no fireban at that time. We use this website: Krisinformation.se We did miss the fireban in Norway in an different video, but it was pointed out by a fellow commentor. ☺️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♂️
Hey hey guys! What a nice video once again❤ greeting from the swedish tet! I could not keep myself from watching and had to spend some mb's of my mobile internet on this video. no regrets! 100% worth it! ill see you when i get home! tot zo!
Great Video! I just turned 62 and ride a KLR-650. I carry the most gear for my comfort which is why I use a small single wheel offroad trailer. Keeps weight down low and off my motorcycle. I enjoy riding offroad more than on the road. Don't let age stop you. Being comfortable is so important. And if you use a CPAP to sleep with that is an easy fix and shouldn't keep you out of the woods. Regards, Jude
Woah that trailer looks really awesome! We just saw it on your channel 👍😁. Really curious on how you’ll like it off the road! And hats off to you, we wish we will still be riding offroad on age 62! Have fun out there. Cheers, Luuk & Emma
Hello, greetings from Finland! I found your channel and placed an order. I also have an old DR-650 from '91. Now it has been broken, but in the winter I removed the engine and maybe next winter I will fix it ;D. I have been riding a BMW F800GS since 2017, Norway is in the plans for this summer. Safe kilometers, stay between the ditches ;D 🙆♂
Question for Emma; you've got the Enduristan handlebar bag (can't see if it's the small or the large one) on your motorcycle. It has an innovative fastening clamp system, as the manufacturer describes it, but I believe it's quite loose on your handlebar. How did you attach it? The only downside I see, is it doesn't have a quick lock system to detach the bag from its base, so in crowded areas you always have to take your valuables out of the bag to avoid it gets stolen.
Hi! I have the large version of the Handlebar bag and I use it upside down (because my handlebar has a crossbar). It fits really well on my handlebars, but it comes with 2 sizes of inlays and I use one big and one small one. If you want to I can measure the diameter of my bars, so you can know for sure! And yes these aren't removable (except for the phone case), but I'll take that over a tank bag any day😂. Thanks for commenting. cheers!🏍🙋♀️
@@Skidmate You're welcome! If you would be so kind, because my bike has a crossbar as well, as I assume the standard diameters (22,28,32) for the handlebar will fit seamlessly. I agree on the tankbag option, and will also keep an eye on the Mosko Moto and Turkana offering. Similar idea, different attachment approach. Thank you for your quick reply!
@@SKLSNAPS Hey! Just measured the outside diameter of my DR and it is 22.4mm. The crossbar has about 3,7cm of clearance between the handlebar itself. Hope it helps! 😁🙋♀
@@Skidmate That is very quick 😃 Thanks a lot. I will do my own measurements on the crossbar. Thanks a lot for your time and help. Have a wonderful Sunday!
Very nice trip and scenery. I will point out however that open fire at summertime in Norway is strictly regulated. "Between 15 April and 15 September there is a general bonfire ban in Norway. In that case, it is not normally permitted to light bonfires, disposable grills, fire pans and other open fires in forests and outback without permission from the municipality."
Hey John! Thanks so much for the information. We were so focussed on only going to Sweden, we kept a really good eye on the fire bans over there. But plans changed and totally forgot to check the regulations in Norway! Cheers from The Netherlands! 🏍🏍🙋♂️🙋♀️
I rode 2 DRs from 2008 to 2017 and the magically dying Motor is somethig i experienced a few times. That damn closed fuel line :D Most of the Times it was after short unplanned stops when looking at a map or something like this. I closed the Fuel as soon as i stood still and turned off the engine. Out of Habit and trained fear of overflowing Carb^^
Haha yes it also wasn't the first time and won't be the last time for me I'm afraid🤣😅. The fear of carb flooding is relatable though haha I turn mine off out of habit aswell. Maybe its time for a fuel injected DR that meets the EU regulations so we can enjoy some newer DRs over here haha.🤣 Thanks for commenting!😄🙋🏻♀️
I was little surprised when I first time heard you say "Moi" (or something similar). Finnish language that means same as "Hi" when you say it to your friends.
Hahaha you're right😂😅. We'll correct it in the future, but we're a bit scared to do it now because of the RU-vid algorithm 😅. Thanks for your comment, take care!🙋♂️🙋♀
