@@forestman9205 Here's my take. I only ride this trail once or twice a year, so I don't have it memorized at all. It has a few extra S-turns and small jumps now which I actually enjoyed. You just have to be ready on the brakes. I did run off trail once. 😁 Most of the repairs have settled in nice and nothing seems too off camber. And just like I figured, most of them have been bypassed or a better line has been made. So the question, has it been ruined? Not in my opinion. Like I said I don't ride it a lot, have it memorized, or time myself on it. I consider this a beginner to moderate trail. I use it for a solo, evening ride. I prefer the slower, more technical stuff. But I had a lot of fun so I'm still a fan.
@nt3523 Awesome! Thanks for the ride report. I'm glad it's settling in, and some lines are being formed. It's was a fun trail, and it sounds like it's still good.
@daltoncope6537 When my riding buddies flake out, I do, haha. Yes, it's much safer to ride with someone. I ride do ride alone often. It's important to have a reliable bike, tools to fix things, and not ride super gnarly trails. I use a satellite communicator, which provides a nice layer of safety and gives my family peace of mind.
Are you using Vegas to edit? At around 1:55 I noticed some frame rate slow down. I used to get this when I used Vegas as my editor. Just curious. I've since switched to Davinci Resolve. No more issues. Great stuff though!!!
I'm not using Vegas. I dont really see the frame rate slow down you're talking about. The camera angle is turning with my haed at the 1:55 minute mark....maybe that's what you're seeing. DaVinci is a pretty powerful editing software from what I've seen.
@@forestman9205 No worries. I thought I saw it in a few spots but it could be my internet. I can only imagine how much video you filmed to cut out all these good bits. I bet it was a epic trip.
@notgamingwithmax Thanks, yes there was a lot of footage to go through. Only another editor knows how much time and effort goes into making one of these. It was a great trip!
Haha, I have never had an encounter with any type of bear. While riding I believe the noise scares them off. There is this video of a bear charging a dirt bike rider when he was stopped. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-INdYxTv8wZU.html&pp=ygUaRGlydGJpa2VyIGNoYXNlZCBieSBhIGJlYXI%3D
I can't speak about the 24's however two of my buddies had 21's and 22's EC's. I ride a 21 Ex. There's not much difference other than the gearing and suspension. I did go up one tooth in the rear on the EX because it was too tall for technical single track riding. This made it pretty close to the EC's, as far as gearing.
Just picked up a 2023 Gas Gas EX300. Been digging your videos and getting an understanding of what she can. Anything I should add first? She's been sitting in a crate for 400 days and just took it out
@aaron337 Awesome! Im glad you're liking the vids! The TPI engine can be a bit finicky, but once you understand what its doing, they can run great. My bike never seemed to rev out very well. I found it had a bad crank case pressure sensor. I replaced it and it woke the bike up. However, there was still some sputtering. I decided to have the ecu reflashed by two stoke performance, which resolved this issue. I also went with a High compresson head when i did this, it turned it into a screamer. I also added a map switch so it wpuld be more mild in the techy stuff. The bike is really running great now. I would just make sure it runs right while it's still under warranty, and make the factory fix any bad sensors, (crank case pressure and ambient air pressure sensors) which have been a problem with the TPI engins. The other thing you may need to do is install an adjustable idle screw (some have a low idle and stall) and also so you can adjust the air bypass screw correstly to fix any rich or lean conditions. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions.
@@forestman9205thanks for responding man!! Curious about the idle issue. I rode it once and found it was just not really idling right and low. I'll definitely look into that and get ECU flashed. Thanks for helping me out on this.
@aaron337 There are quite a few videos out there about how to do the idle screw mod. Here is one from Rocky Mountain ATV. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ewNjtjfNNQI.htmlfeature=shared
Love it, Love it, Love it. Thank you so much for sharing. What a beautiful place to ride. I would have a lot of difficulty concentrating on the track with such magnificent scenery to distract me.
