So when will splinterlands have randomly inserted cards that are max level, special foil, and numbered to 100 or 50 or even 1 of 1? You know it is going to happen at some point Plus the cards besides being max level, also gives land bonuses, glint bonuses or are animated artwork? Imagine the pack sales for people chasing those cards!

Only part way through the video, but had to pause. I completely agree on the promo cards being more accessible. I haven't even heard the rest of your argument. I am a player a tier or 2 below you, money card wise, ect... but have played since '21 , have invested probably over 4k, and am priced out of these expensive promo cards. Reverse cleanse, interesting, but 2$ plus a bcx, the other cards I could buy and how it would improve my mid deck... Unless the lower few tiers are playable, it's like why buy 1 reverse cleanse card, I still don't have such and such, 2$ goes a long way in chaos... anyways, I'm ranting a bit, I'll continue watching the video. hahaha... cheers !
web3 games need to be more balanced to include bots, F2P, web2, web3, economy, rental system, partners, on/off ramps into other games and ecosystems, etc.
Although it is expensive I like the option of unbinding some cards. I am using DEC-B to unbind and will put some up for sale on the market and use the DEC to purchase other cards I have a need for. Overall I think it is a good move from the Splinterlands team to allow us players to unlock our soulbound cards although I wish the cost would be less e.g. 5X starting point not 10X
ummm...I think there are some issues with the way you´re looking at the situation. If you go through your video again you can see the account "oink2" having the lowest offer everywhere and he has multiples of each card listed. The reason why he´s so confident unbinding all these cards is because he´s using a marketbot, automatically undercutting you if you list lower than him. He has been dominating the reward card sales since weeks. He´s the reason why I´m not unsoulbounding any more cards, it´s just too risky because there´s a good chance i won´t be able to sell them at a profit or even at all. I also don´t see how many more of the sb cards will be bought, because most sales are of course in the beginning phase and I will also point you to the overall printrate of these again. I sold a good amount of sb cards in the very beginning, before the oink2 marketbot showed up. When he showed up I had some unsoulbounded reward cards left but I can help myself in a situation like that, because first of all I know these marketbots exist since months and second I have thought about strategies to deal with them. You can´t know how much of a bad impact these things have had on the market already if you´re not really looking into how the market works and how prices work. Suggestion: Include it in one of your next videos and go through the process of selling the cards and when you listed the card, refresh 10 min later and by then the market bot will have reacted (unless you list so deep where the owner put a limit to where it undercuts you). I was able to sell sb cards for about 80 dollars and I made on average of about 10% profit on the cards, so in order for me to get 80 bucks, people have to spend 800. It´s suprising this system has worked as well as it did so far.
Great vid bro! Yeah, this has been my strategy in Splinterlands from day one... maximizing my funds by getting certain cards to the necessary level that they become useable and useful for my lineups. I always think its so pointless, to spend more than what you've already spent on a card, to only get 2 extra HP 🤦♂️😂 I always look for the maximum bang for your buck when choosing the best level to take a card.

I just play the game :) I bought close to 150 packs in that pre-sale and while I regret it, I am having some fun with Soulkeep. I will use what I have and if prices get SUPER cheap, may get a few BCX off secondary market. The thing is, I'm pretty much league locked to L2, can't get the Legendaries to move to L3 so is there even a point in me upgrading anything? MAYBE the Splinterlands strategy of allowing MAX Cards in every league would help with sales? :O
IDK. I'm really planning to only get 1bcx of each, so I think waiting them out on the secondary market would be my best bet for those. I'd love to get both "cleanses" out of Vicar but even on the market that's $50 for 25bcx. Everyone NEEDS an Eleanor so I'm just waiting for the best time to buy one, but since I can't compete on the LB, I may as well save $ and buy from the secondary. Thanks for the comment!
I think it depends on how much longer CL stays in modern. If it's for another year, then that's decent value. If it's for 6 months, not so much. Either way, Izzy and the weapons training crew are good for both formats, so if ANY cards are good picks, I feel it's those. I'll prob lose in the end but I have no chance of hitting the ball if I don't take a swing lol. Thanks for the comment my man!
I also enjoy Soulkeep and it actually makes for better content compared to Splinterlands. It's interesting to see your strategy on the game. I tend to play the same towers and spells also. What they should do each day is to have some towers locked so players are forced to experiment more. I'm also in League 2 and ready to move higher but I kind of have been holding off as there is no way to downmove in case I would no longer get in the rewards.
I can't go higher, even if I wanted to :). I agree that it's fun to try new towers. Going to do a spotlight in a different one next time for fun since I'll inevitably end up getting crushed round 1 of the bonus level again lol. Thanks!
Swami SAYS, another good one. Swami SAYS, been experimenting with the "buildmaster" spell, which was landed in a pack a few days ago. Swami SAYS, the "buildmaster" provides a very helpful discount on the upgrades, which is especially valuable, and affordable (5 mana), boost in the first few waves. Swami SAYS, gonna start experimenting with the "Fountain of Terror" tower, as it only costs 70 mana per placement. Swami SAYS, would be interested in seeing that one in action, as well as some examples of how to use the higher-mana towers (ex. "Ivory Tower", "Plague Scarab", etc.) - as it seems that those require more advanced/calculated strategy ( similar to "Quad Killer")... #SwamiSays

My strategies are those of a casual who plays a few times a week at best so I'm still learning and experimenting. I appreciate the tips!
Killing leagues ended me. I turned on the bot and forgot about playing or spending. Then a few weeks ago I scene cards where 1/10th the cost I expected. As Generation Untamed I was in shopping paradise. I got elven mystic & tower griffins for .25/bcx! I’ve got so many good cards at such a low price
I feel the same way! Got fleeced with CL, but now I suddenly have the chance to own cards I never thought I'd be able to. Old hands are leaving, and the cards are being put into new ones :) Let's hope we bought in at the bottom! Cheers!
I open 100 gladius packs at a time, that is the sweet spot for me for quora and legendaries. I had to start opening bulk because I opened small amounts for 18months and only got 2 legendaries and no quora 🤦♂️

Hint - don’t buy ultimate chests. Too expensive. Only get cards 1/3 times and 70% of those will be common Instead of buying 10 chests you could have gotten a legendary card😢

If you want to spend less Dec per plot and still get good production go for gold foil epics 1 max gold foil epic will give you about the same production as your tide biter plot and only cost you 20k Dec instead of 50k
Great tip! But then I'd have to buy a max gold foil epic, so my "problem" would shift from the dec staked issue, to the cost of the actual card on land issue. I also have more faith in holding the DEC than buying a max epic just to put on land. Because it's you, I'll mention I spent so much on SPL that I feel I need to restore "balance" to my collectible universes and sell some MtG. I'll probably part with an extra City of Traitors even though I hate to sell RL cards. Just faster that way :) Thanks for the comment!

Perfectly valid! Some people like to own but then assume all the possible risks and rewards, and other like to rent and play it safe. Both are absolutely fine approaches to the game and result in the game being played :). I'm bullish on SPL so getting these cards that I never thought I'd own while there are sellers with such low bottoms feels great to me. Me neither ! Although for reference Psilence, if you put down a tower in the building phase, you can pick it back up and get your points returned to place a different tower. Just click on the tower, and to the left I think instead of an upgrade, its two arrows in a circle. Cheers !

I just want "snare" removed. Hurts Drath too much since it's in the same colors and represents a direct counter to the flying it gives. No wonder Bulldog quit lol. Keep the rest but drop snare. Make Drath great again! ;)

Yaaa buddy thanks for the sub! I've been flipping the entire time I've been playing :) It's one of the best parts of the game IMHO. But right NOW is just prime time to either speculate or just plain old BUY if you actually wanted to own the assets. Not financial advice of course, but the bots really just seem to be bidding each other down creating all these opportunities.
We are pretty much in the same boat. Doing the same thing as you are in the last couple of weeks and months. Basically buying all the cards I always dreamed of but were never able to afford.
