RC enthusiast, prototype parts tester, and overall dirt fun lover. This channel is focused on sharing feedback, tuning and power setups, maximizing performance, and having fun!!! No affiliate links or corporate ass kissing here. I call it like I see it from personal experience, not popular online opinion. If big jumps and hard bashing hurts your feelings, this channel isn't for you.
Man you’re seriously jiving with that right now man. I always watch all your vids some of the best air control and driving I’ve seen you do for sure. 👏🏻👍
Got big red back out, hell yea! 🍻 I just can’t get behind that body on the fireteam 😂 looks goofy af. My stock cage with all panels and interior (that I gave to Eric) all off makes it way lighter and it’s still the only original thing on my rig 😂 I have a new one for when it breaks but haven’t had to swap yet
Good times 👍. Besides the ripping and jumping it’s awesome to get out in nature to a nice peaceful spot can become habitual because it can ease a persons mind .
Thank you Brother 🤗. I use a basic Tactic TTX300 controller/receiver. No gyro or AVC. In my opinion, they hinder bashing ability and control. Helpful for 100+ mph speed runs, but that's it. 🍻
Thank you Brother 🤗. RC Juice sells Hobbystar products. I'll attach a link. The 56112 980kv is a direct fit. The 5692 should have good power, but the longer 56112 will likely run cooler having more surface area and probably have more torque. rcjuice.com/products/hobbystar-56112-4-pole-brushless-sensorless-motor-1-5-scale
Does the Perfect Pass servo give you everything you need out of it? I'm sure your running it at 7.4V. I'm slowly switching my fleet over to those servos.
My Perfect Pass servos has been awesome 👍. They're fast and powerful with great centering. I toasted one in my Sledge 1/7 "Jackhammer", but only after tagging a large boulder off angle.
My fire team is set up exactly the same just different tower to tower brace, same body and power system, put exb diffs in mine cuz stock blx kept snapping pins, it's an animal! Keep it steezy! For people who don't know move your battery tray back one hole, makes it way more stable in the air
Great stuff 👏 😝 🤟 I have an almost brand new hobbystar 1480kv motor non-sensored. I can't find a home for it or a good esc to match with it. I even tried a hobbystar 150amp esc. My biggest complaint is that it's just not very responsive. I could barely get air control because of always having a delay. Could you spare me some words of wisdom? Thanks for another great video.
Thank you Brother 🤗. The Hobbystar 4092 1480kv is an awesome motor with the right gearing. I've always paired mine with a Max6 and a 22-23T pinion depending on wheel size. I've heard mixed reviews on the Hobbystar ESC's. Make sure to calibrate the controller to the ESC with a "throttle setup" per manual instructions regardless of ESC choice.
@richduperbash2966 Thank you very much. My scratch build big rock is built up like your fireteam. I started it with the sensored max 6 and had that delay from the beginning. I even reached out to hobbywing. I have a robinson racing 23t pinion. My remote is a radiolink R6GF. It had amazing speed, but I could barely pull a backflip. I threw in the sensored hobbywing motor, and it was night and day improvement. I guess I will keep looking for its home...😆Thanks for taking a minute for me and doing what you do!!!
Yes indeed Brother 🤙. Folsom Lake is so awesome in every way. Fantastic hiking, fishing, MT biking, and plenty of room to rip around for a high speed bash session. 🍻
Definitely one of the best channels out here in America appreciate your brother and I really hope that arrma gets with you here this year and next year and continues running with you with the innovation because you definitely showed their quality of their machines.
Only a highly intelligent person or a mad man would turn a punch bug into a kickass basher.Big Air you always put a smile on my face and I appreciate you brother.
Love the 7th scale arrmers and the bug bodies but can't get on with the 8s rigs though I just can't get them to hold up to much for long and hate wrenching on them
Yeah the 1/7 scale is the ultimate size for weight to power ripping 😍. The colder weather might play a role with the 8s rigs plastics where you're at Kev. It's hot here in California 🍻
@@richduperbash2966yeah you're right it just takes a lot of driver skills too the weather does play a part but when you're also driving your RC's like Sid toy stores then you're going to get damaging products see if they're heavier you definitely shown that arrma 8s us 6s 3s 4s lineups can handle Sirius bashing with the skill level behind the driving great job
I like them pistons on the 4s outcast aluminum shocks there’s no bladders in the caps so they really shine but my 6s still has stock caps and it’s barely noticeable but they still dampen decent and relieve some bounce on landings . I wonder if just try an appropriate sized o ring and remover the bladder . They look like gas primers for my leaf blower and I need one 😂
You'll want an emulsion cap with a bleeder screw to get the best setup and dampening with an O-ring vs a shock bladder. I fill the shock plum level with oil, screw the cap on, fully compress the shock (with spring removed), and tighten down the bleeder screw. That's been the best way for me to achieve no bounce back or "flat" dampening with the emulsion style setup.
Thank you Brother 🙏. I miss this spot so badly. It's dear to my heart and so rich with great memories. It was flattened 5 years ago for development 😭. On a positive note, my bash buddies relative has given us permission to build a bash park on her old horse property 😱. I'll do everything in my power to help facilitate sculpting a proper bash spot with no risk of being flattened for commercial profit 🍻🤙🤙
@@richduperbash2966Yeah man, the Kraton bashing you did at this spot sold me on one years ago. I’ve sold that truck but just picked up a used Fireteam. Excited for a mild build. That will be awesome to have your own track! We have one at our house and it’s a lot of work to build and keep up on. Our soil is rocky and dusty so I end up just letting the weeds/grass grow and mowing it short. Would be nice to have it all dirt though so I could enjoy the backflip tires more. Too much traction roll so Copperhead 2’s work better for me here. 😅
I would have saved so much money and my kraton would weigh a lot less if I had just got the exb v2 instead of the v5 with lots of "upgrades" gained 2lbs 😅
@@richduperbash2966 Can you explain what part that is? I'm thinking you are talking about the part that connects the tower to tower brace to the diff case and rear wing all together. Is that it?
Excuse me sir, what would be a good servo upgrade for the grom? I'm unsure how to find one, what specifications should I look for? I know I want a metal geared high torque upgrade but otherwise I'm unsure, there's a lot of options out there
I'm honestly not sure 🤔. Haven't looked into upgrading mine yet. I'd start by measuring the stock servo dimensions and look online. Not sure what torque rating the stocker has.
