"Lil Rocket" ARRMA Mojave GROM 3s Hobbywing Setup!!! 

TAKE NOTE 😱. Do not use the stock pinion on the Hobbywing motor. Stock pinion is 2.3mm ID and the Hobbywing motor shaft is 2mm. Losi and Robinson Racing sell 2mm 0.5 mod pinions. Guys that reuse stock pinions on a 2mm shaft might not notice the slight wobble until the motor shaft snaps 👀. Don't be one of those unfortunate guys. Also, the Mojave comes with a 19T pinion. I swapped the mounting plate for an 18T using the ARRMA motor mount set # ARA320744.

What's going on Big Air? I had to chuckle a little when I seen you driving that tiny truck.Once I stepped up to the 1/5 scale the fun level on smaller trucks just went way down for me.I can still remember the first video I watched of you over 7 yrs ago.I thought you were good back then and you have aged like fine wine.You are the bashing GOAT and the bashing OG ! That thing comes out of a slide, gets traction, and it rockets off. Love it! Currently exploring the world of 1/5, but a brushless 3S grom is on my radar.

Thanks for the video Rich, I’m glad these small scale cars/trucks are catching wind, they really are fun and easy to maintain and use. Charge and go. Some of the larger scale RCs are a blast as well but they have become complicated and expensive for just bashing. These make more sense. Love to see the Typhon in a video on 3s. Thanks

What a beast it is on Brushless! Going to get the same setup I think! I put the 2nd largest preload in the back shocks and works much better. Damn you gave that a beating and it kept taking it like a champ! Wow! 😂👍🏼

Why is everyone not testing the Furitek Grom drop in system? It's literally made for them and comes with the servo mount. $99 for a 50mph plus 3s capable? Added bonus of being able to use that useless stock battery and coming with adapters for normal batteries. I couldn't believe that this little Mojave Grom can pull wheelies with it.

That's bonkers on 3s, Rich .Much quicker than my 3s granite Grom.Havent geared that up yet.These Arrma Groms are great for our tiny skateparks here in the UK ,or anywhere. Maybe I'll try and rig up a crawler version of The Arrma Granite Grom..who knows.Keep it sweet Brother

If you like these groms, you’ve gotta try the 1/16 e revos. Albeit they need upgrades like the groms but it’s such a sick platform and they’re so fast. Would love to see you ripping one.

Hey Rich! Love seeing you rip these little guys around. Not sure if you’ll see this but I have a question for you regarding this combo upgrade. I put the same one in my Typhon Grom and I noticed that the pinion really has to stretch to completely mesh with the spur gear. I ended up breaking the spur (chipped 3 teeth clean off) and I blame the poor reach of the motor shaft for that. Did you run into this problem by any chance with the Mojave?

I have the same motor in my Grom. I have looked high and low to find a motor heat sink to fit it. I see you have a heat sink on your motor. Care to share where you got it?

i just cut both tab off the esc and use the two tabs to hold my sevo and just 3m tape my esc to the servo saves to buy a mount
