I watched this when I was researching printers, and now that I have my new et 8550, I came back to rewatch how you format your cards for printing. I was getting so frustrated on my own figuring out formatting, so again this video was immensely helpful, thanks! Ps your artwork is gorgeous, wow! So lifelike!
Thank you so much for all of the parts. My sister cat died two weeks ago, and she asked me draw him for her so she could have a memory from him. I started a drawing of him a year ago and stopped for unknown reason. Make a new was difficult for me because of the details. I've never painted something so complicated before. Your videos helped me a lot with techniques, time patience, and progress ❤❤❤
Holy smokes! I didn't realize the rear paper feeder would work! I've been printing 271gsm card stock using the cassette 2 and it jams so frequently. Thank you!
Hi Shannon I’ve just caught up with this, really sorry to hear you’ve had some big life changes. Really brave of you to talk about it on here. I’m glad you’ve got a lot of positive things to look forward to- your artwork and your amazing trip to Kenya. Take care of yourself
Hello Shannon thank you for sharing your process, I am having troubles in printing on tintoretto gesso from the same printer you have, is there a particular setting or profile for the paper you use to get vibrant colors?
This is a great idea. Just what I was looking for. I was thinking I'd need to find some Flt boxes to ship flat pieces securely, but this looks great as it can be cut to the exact size required. Thank you.
Love the depth of brand values. Many people mistakenly think it's just colors and themes, failing to understand how each design element evokes specific feelings in the audience.
Your artwork is absolutely stunning 😍! I've just started drawing the duckling from your RU-vid channel, and I completely understand that it takes so much time and concentration 💯😊
Just finished the final part and it feels like I've watched the final episode of my favourite series :) Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial, Shannon! Enjoyed it as much as listening to your stories about your cat, geese outside and other things :) Lots of thanks!
I'm researching about branding right now, thankfully I found your video. Definitely will be checking out Affinity and Penji since I've been stuck with Canva forever.✅
Hello Shannon, another Affinity question I’m afraid. I have a problem which I just cannot no matter how much I try. I just wondered if you had ever come across it? When I download my drawing from my file it isn’t the same colour when it comes on my pc screen. I have an Epson ET 2870 printer with an ink tank. I’m pretty new at this but when I saw how you printed your cards they look so good. I have even spent two whole hours with our local computer shop and they were very helpful but unfortunately no solution only that they thought it was the program itself. I have my very first event on Sunday, but all my drawings are unprintable. Just thought you may have encountered the same.
This is really informative Shannon, I really like your style and the way you do things. I compliment your honesty and down to earth personality. Thank you 😊
Thanks for a great video Shannon, some really useful information here. I had to laugh when you said about practising different subjects etc. I’ve been doing pet portraits for a few months now but a couple of weeks ago, I had a request to draw a coach! 😂 as in a bus! I was so pleased with myself because I did it and they were really pleased with the finished piece. It just goes to show how adaptable you need to be 😊😊
@@sarahstevenson2384 thank you so much Sarah! Wow that’s an unusual request but I bet it was interesting to work on ☺️ absolutely the more you can offer the better! 🤍
Shannon, thank you for providing all of us another wonderful video! I love your personal approach to explaining art. Although I'm not selling anything (yet) I've so enjoyed the relaxation and creativity colored pencils have provided me this last year. You've been a huge positive influence and I'm truly grateful for that! Looking forward to your next video! Bob😊
Thank you for sharing another part of your journey, there are some truly golden nuggets of advice here! Don’t confuse delusion with ambition though…you are certainly not delusional! What you have are healthy goals and ambitions and I’m sure you will have your country house and garden studio before you know it (I can see you running art retreats and workshops there too as you are a natural teacher) I’m excited to see “What Shannon Did Next” 😂 xx
@@wendyj_thecoddiwomplelady thank you so much Wendy! Yes that’s true I think ambition is a much more positive word 🥰 hahaha you never know what the future holds! Thank you ☺️🤍 xx
That’s looking fantastic Shannon 🥰 I was just saying to hubby yesterday that I would love to draw an Owl and I knew you have the one I would like to draw on your Patreon . So I think I will sign up today. 🌹
As Always Shannon this RU-vid video was amazing! Although I'm not a professional artist I loved hearing your thoughts as I'm sure many others did! I appreciate everything you do and I Always learn something! Thank you! Bob😊
Doesn't anybody free hand anything anymore?? B actual coloring can be beautiful itself, but the constant tracing your picture. Can anyone actually free hand, draw a cat?
Hi Caroline, if I wasn’t doing this professionally then I would be more inclined to free-hand. Drawing the outline free-hand can take hours and thankfully, can be done more quickly using methods such as tracing ☺️ It’s a tool I was taught to make the most of throughout art school and if it can help others to improve their drawing skills, and get a head-start on the colour then it would be a shame not to use it! Of course you don’t need to use the line drawing if you’d rather free-hand but it’s a great support for those who aren’t confident with proportions or who would like to save a bit of time 😊
When I joined this tutorial it was to learn colour choices, blending and application, if I wanted to learn drawing I would go to the relevant tutorial. I am more than happy with the teaching Shannon provides
Hi Shannon, can you tell me which pencils you used from the Derwent Graphic? I have to buy the pencils and am wondering if I have to buy all 24 or 12 or 6 ? I have no idea 😳😊
