100% EP of the year for me! Nothing is touching this. The EP was the whole package. The music, lyrics. They know how to make incredible music while weaving it with the gospel. It’s a beautiful thing!
Just got my physical copy this morning. Wow... nothing else to say, other than this is very good. Not withstanding my personal struggles with belief, this is powerful.
To be honest, I don’t know where I stand now. I left a comment on an earlier video reacting to Hail Mary from Confessions Of A Traitor regarding my father’s suicide, but it’s deeper than that for me. I didn’t grow up in the church; my brother and I were raised in an environment of hostility and alcoholism, which helped a negative view of faith. When I found faith, I guess I used it to hide the dysfunction in our household. Not long after losing my father, I had a good friend who served overseas for a year and a half lose her brother by what the police claimed was a murder suicide. It happened while she was in Afghanistan, and she never found out what happened to him. There are, many times that I resent the disabilities. I was born with, which has played a role in my level of doubt. In 2022 while I was in the middle of my divorce, I was talking to my mom about my view of faith, and I told her that , while I listen to the music, I do, and read the types of books that I do, I don’t believe anything from the Bible, and while that may have been a bit harsh, it’s just how I feel. My issues have a lot to do with , being able to trust God, even through all the examples given here, as well as everything that is happening in our society. How can we be expected to trust in a higher power when, at least in my viewpoint, there is no reason to have faith in that higher power , when things are the way they are? I’ve heard the standard answers about why Christians should believe in a higher power, and the standard answers about sin nature, and it leaves me to ask this, why did sin have to enter the equation? I haven’t found anyone who has given me anything to help me work through these issues, and I have tried so many times to find ways to make sense of how I see things, but nothing is working.
I first came in contact with Holy Orthodoxy shortly before the pandemic and reading the lives of the saints many of whom died horrific tortorous martyric deaths was a very big disconnect to how many church leaders basiclaly rolled over and let governments dictated what the faithful were allowed to do when it came to worship all out of fear of losing worldly transient possessions or even worse and more anti Christian fear of death which has been overthrown.
Incredible! This track track the echo of the church age. The false teachers run rampant deceiving many, let us continue to pray for each other, study to show ourselves approved, our eyes fixed on Christ our saviour. By God's grace may we overcome and be steadfast stewards of his word.
Michael Sweet said that they were going for more of their 80's style / sound on this album, so I expect the overall vibe of this album to be less aggressive and more "radio friendly" than the last few albums. Personally, I like the heavier stuff better, but they do this style SO well.
Mushroomhead came out with 2 new songs. One is called “Fall in Line” and the other is called “Prepackaged”. Then the band As I Lay Dying has also 2 new songs. The first one is “Burden” and the other one is “The Cave We Fear to Enter.” Plus check out some of these songs out by Imminence. Some songs like “Continuum”, “Chasing Shadows”, “Alleviate”, “Heaven Shall Burn”, “The Sickness”, “Paralyzed”, “Heaven in Hiding”, and “Ghost”. These bands are amazing. I’m sure you did some of these bands or maybe even all of them. Any of them that you didn’t do. Could you please check the ones you haven’t done yet. I apologize. Could you please check the ones you haven’t done yet. Thanks

I'm thankful Jesus did that of course! But it doesn't mean some songs people make about him can't be "generic" / boring. I said way back I enjoyed it, just generic CCM. Doesn't mean it doesn't have a good message 🤟
