You can also use the 73 to 79 bump side master cylinder and booster And get a proportional valve off of vehicle that's got front and rear brakes not having to majorly modify the cab
@@DueDaddMotorsports awesome thanks for the info. Anyway I can contact you directly if I have some more questions? I can pay consulting fee or whatever. Just doing this alone and there’s not much info online
Feels much different with the swap, sits about 3-4 inches back and down a few inches from the fa20 position as well as being lighter you can feel the ease of steering right away.
here is a great write up on how to find the axle you are looking for. makes it very easy to find when shopping at the junk yard. www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/axle_codes.shtml
I have this system on my 2020 Charger RT. I love it. I got the S71183CF Race Series Stainless Steel with the black tips. The only minor issue I had with it is because of the increased diameter, the exhaust shop had to put in a couple washers when reinstalling the crossmember to give it a tad bit more clearance. Other than that. I love it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CNbQ0oIBvOk.htmlsi=QuGrDihGGCkKnZ4r
Difference would be pipe sizing and but this system removes all muffling components, doing a mid delete would retain the rear mufflers so prolly sound a little quieter. More than likely would increase noise without mid muffler
Sure am! Long list of reasons. #1 - it is my truck and I can do what I want. #2 - This was an open diff 9inch with 28 spline axles #3 - has a 5x5.5 lug which would cause us to us different wheels from the front as they are now 5x114.3 #4 - Gained a "posi" I put it in " " as it is a factory posi loc setup that is ~OK~ #5 - Gained 31 splined axles #6 - Gained disc brakes for the rear to complement the front. #7 - Cost! - the cost of the 8.8 was $140. a built 9'' would cost quite a bit more. Yes, a built 9 inch will always be stronger then an 8.8. However, with the limited funds and time this was a great option to cover a lot of our needs. Additionally, I know I will not be able to launch the truck. The truck is not being built for that, I am building it to drive it. It will be used to drive around town and to have fun with.
@@DueDaddMotorsports Cool, how do you like those? That car was getting around well. K24 and LS swap everything!!!! I need to add some lightness to my toy for sure
@@samthing4thetrack806 it was our first time on a slick and we absolutely love it! These were amazing. Definitely kswap and Ls swap the work! What car are you running?
@@DueDaddMotorsports S54 swap e36 M3. I hear mixed about the A005, I have been on Pirelli DH and they seem to be the best performer I have had vs. Z214, or F200 from Hankook(very fast when fresh). No time on Michelin slick either. Your car being light with the K24 is fast for sure! I didn't have a comparable time as my F200 were end of life that WE.
@@samthing4thetrack806 That's an awesome car! will definitely be a great track car. We are also still looking for the best tire for us as they all have their own pros and cons. We had a blast for sure. Maybe we will see you at a track event soon, always love meeting more person that share the motor racing passion.
Thanks! We are loving the K24. Also loved how easy the swap kit was to install, we could tell how much time and pride you guys take into your work. Expect to see this car leading the Time Trials in Texas for the foreseeable future! Ha
It was only slightly noticeable. I took them out and threw them out, it might have changed more if it had manifolds and catless but with the axle back being the only thing changed it was not a big change
@@DueDaddMotorsports Yeah, I thought so. Years back I cut a non-resonated tip and put a resonated one on (baffled tip) and there was no noticeable difference either. Thanks
After watching it back a couple of times I know a couple of spots I feel I could push through further on! Excited for sure to see what it’s like stick in the seats!!
