@@TheLumeRoom No, I mean boring, the oyster perpetual is classic. This thing is brown 🤷🏼♂️ Each to their own though but this watch does nothing for me and I am only talking about the colours as everything else about this watch is amazing for the price……the size, the finish and those bevels are amazing. Would love them to do one in pelagos fxd blue. Or perhaps a Rolex green dial and bezel. I’d snap that up in a second.
@@TheLumeRoom gold, bronze, gilded, whatever…..it’s boring, it’s safe, it’s a mass produced watch designed for the masses not an individual and as such will only depreciate in value, you can already pick them up pre owned for 2k, try finding the Tudor pink Chrono below retail though. 🤷🏼♂️
this one is not so cool, because of the fake rivets (very ugly), the crystal (why the stupid dome?) and the thickness (fat monster watch). Sorry, but seriously it looks outdated even when new.
@@TheLumeRoom Seriously though, I already love this watch (don't have one yet) but to tie it at all with the 49ers just adds a certain je ne sais quoi. Beautiful watch and great video sir!
Hardlex is fine. Years ago i was a naval architect and marine engineer. Seiko hsrdlex was tested in the harshest of conditions for 7 years, never a problem..
I'm hoping to pick up my BB54 in a week or so. I don't mind the rivets on this particular model. I think it suits the vintage vibe more than the other BB's in the line up. Uncle straps make a half link for the stock bracelet. 👍
Love the Coke. So classy and beautiful. I prefer the Ironman nickname. More consistent with the Batman and Hulk. Pepsi/Pan Am could also be called the Superman 😂
Hey man, great video! I have a question you mentioned the GMT hand only goes around the whole watch once in 24hrs so does this mean you would only read the gmt hand against the bezel not the traditional hour indicators?
@@TheLumeRoom yes just one more, people talk about tracking 3 time zones. From videos I have seen, can that be done at the same time or no, just using the bezel to view another time zone?
What’s this peripheral haziness with the sapphire crystal some mention? Is it that noticeable on this newer version? I haven’t noticed this on my other watches with sapphire crystals. Also, doesn’t the sapphire version come with the non-tapering bracelet? Thanks. Great review!
@williamotto2725 I've never experienced peripheral haziness on this watch. This is the sapphire version and as you can see, the bracelet tapers. Some weird rumours you've been listening to?
Could I take the black and gold fabric strap from the normal 58 and slap it on the GMT, you think? I'm a sucker for their fabric straps, but they obv don't offer one with the new GMT yet.
Would be great to see a side by side video with this and the 54! Seems like they could sit together in a small collection without stepping on each other's toes potentially like either of these and a black-dialled BB58 would.
I have two Rolex watches Starbucks and mint Green Day just but own four Tudors. Pelagos blue dial date, BB41, BBgmt opaline dial and Pro. I enjoy them all and hope Tudor makes them thinner. My Tudors are all chunky monkeys. I can’t wait to try it on my wrist
My t-fit was fit 1/2 way, so throughout the day I can adjust it out or in several times per day (without taking it off my wrist) Love this clasp adjustment system.
@@TheLumeRoomif they did it to color match it to the other indices they should gilted the perimeter of the date window to match the other gilted indices, i love the watch but i just think at 4600$ usd the attention to detail needs to be better my prx even has a steel perimeter to match the steel indices, It wouldnt stop me from buying this watch but its just disappointing
@@TheLumeRoom it seems like you have an issue with pointing out things that could be improved on the watch. It is definitely nit picking but at this price point its completely acceptable to nit pick in my opinion
@johnw6613 First, you said they haven't colour matched the date wheel, which is incorrect. You're now saying it should have a framed date window, which is a preference, not an improvement. You have also mentioned the price a few times which sounds like you can't really afford it. I'm happy to point out things like the clasp could be longer or they could add in a half link. It's not right though to think a company is somewhat cutting corners because they didn't go with your your preference on dial configuration. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
