Hi, I’m Emmy Fink. I started my television career in Madison Wisconsin. My segments "Buzzed into Madison" feature local communities, businesses and great people who are able to share their stories. I've had some wonderful opportunities to travel around our beautiful state hosting both Discover Wisconsin and Outdoor Wisconsin.
I created this channel as a way to connect with my viewers, provide a hub for my videos and to create new content. Join me for a glimpse into my life… the people and places I love most and life at home with my family, featuring appearances by my comedic husband and our two kiddos.
Thank you for welcoming me into your home. As always, I’m here to bring joy and laughter to each of you. I’d love to hear from you. Please share your thoughts and stories with me.
When I was a kid in the '50s my family vacationed at my grandparents cabins on Big Portage Lake. We would get out supplies at the Tackle Box where they had a cooler in front of the store to display the catch of the day - the biggest fish caught that day. We would always stop for ice cream at the Dairy Maid and go to the High Hat for lunch. My grandfather would always stop at Barney's Bar for a cold one when he went to town. We would shop at the Red Owl store there. My grandparents cabins were built in the '30s and we went every year plus the men would go up in the winter for deer hunting. No electricity, no running water, no TV.- out houses, ice boxes, water hand pumps, oil stoves for heating and Coleman lanterns for light. A paradise indeed and I have so many fond memories from those wonderful days of my youth spent in that magical place. My dad was a pilot and one year we flew into the airport at the Gateway Inn.
You are my second favorite host of Discover Wisconsin besides Stephanie Klett. I always have a soft spot in my heart for this show. I have only explored most of Wisconsin since I have been here since 08. What else is there for my family and I to check out in Wisconsin?
Very nice piece on Lodi, WI! It made our friend happy to see her old haunts as her father owned the Ford Dealership when it was Markgraf Ford. Watching from Florida now ❤
I really enjoy your show. I keep a tablet beside me so I can write down ideas. There's another small free fair in Gilmanton Wisconsin. Thanks for all the travel ideas. I want be a tourist in my own state
Hi I like your video 👍 do you know any place in Wisconsin that I could rent a snowmobile to ride too see if I like them before I buy one ? Any advise would be appreciated
Great video. Those ribs looked great. That is such a beautiful area in Wisconsin. I have stayed in Arbor Vitae, Minocqua, and Boulder Junction for some awesome biking vacations. The Heart of Vilas County Trail System has to be the best biking in Wisconsin. I am wowed every time I go back.
Emmy, George Beasley, the man that took you out on the boat, was my grandfather. He passed away in 2020. I remember watching this program live on TV with my family after my grandparents had called to tell us that they'd be on TV! At that time, I was around 8 years old so you can figure that was a pretty big deal to me. The "Discover Wisconsin" magazine with my grandparents' photo is still proudly displayed in my grandma's house. Thanks for uploading this - seeing my grandpa talk about his boat and giving you driving tips brought me lots of joy! Reminds me of the days that he taught my brothers and I how to drive that exact boat.
I think to showcase Madison the best you should not just show European, US style and a pizza place, when you could include at least one south east asian cuisine like ha long bay or Ahan, which are so beloved in madison and this is a big community in madison.
