Hey All, I am an experienced tradesperson working in and around London, I carry out all sorts of renovation projects, from extensions, External Wall rendering, bathroom renovations, kitchen installs, etc.
As with many other RU-vid DIY videos, the content on my channel is to show you how I work, overcome problems, and overall guide you on things you may want to consider when undertaking renovation projects, or what things to look out for when buying a property in the UK.
Renovation work can be costly and daunting, so my aim is to help you think about your options based on quality of materials, costs, longevity etc.
There are many ways to do a particular task, there are many regulations you may need to consider, so i hope to point all these out when i come across them with any projects i work on.
Hope you enjoy my content!

I’m presuming that base coat is ready mixed but on the second coat you said it was a bit thinner is that because you addded a little water into it? Great job you know your stuff!
Hi don’t you need a primer on the block work before you apply the base coat? And I noticed a few lines in the base coat they didn’t show through once the silicon was applied so I’m presuming you can have the odd trowel line in the basecoat?
It's new block work, so no, you don't need primer but it's not a bad idea to apply it if you want. For the lines, i will scrape all the wall before applying the top coat
@@How2Extreme Hi great job thanks for the link, so am i right using Cerisit it is the basecoat (adhesive) one coat with mesh embeded then a second thin coat when the first coat is dry, then the silicon render on the top? If the above is correct what thickness beading do I need to buy to build out the two base layers ready for the silicon top coat, I’m confident I can do a job but just need to double check I’m on track with the process? Thank you for your reply’s.
Great episode! The AdaLov CPE660 Point to Point Wireless Bridge looks like a fantastic solution for extending network coverage. Your detailed explanation and demonstration of the 5.8G WiFi bridge and its 14dBi directional antenna were super helpful. I appreciate the thorough review and the practical insights you provided. Looking forward to more of your tech reviews!👍
Great video on transforming the floor with luxury vinyl plank flooring! The final result looks stunning and really elevates the space. loving the feature of the chimney breast with the lighting! It adds such a cozy and modern touch to the room. Your attention to detail throughout the entire project is commendable, from ensuring the planks are perfectly aligned to the seamless transitions between rooms. Massive shout-out for your meticulous approach and dedication to delivering high-quality content. I always look forward to your next video and seeing what innovative ideas you’ll share next. Keep up the fantastic work! 👍
Hi. They are not essential, but if you dont use them, you are going to have some termal bridging and ghosting on the render when it is too hot inside and cold outside
Hi, we have a similar job in North West London (nr Watford) if you are available. Please share your contact details (phone) I can send pics of the job to see what would be involved and costs. Thanks
Question I have one installed, is it normal to have a gap between the shower tower and wall. Will I have to Caulk around the tower, can water get behind it if there is a gap or if it does will it cause any issue? My concern is that it will seep into the cuts of the pkumming and get behind wall
Hi.Yes you can silicone around it but it will be more difficult to pull it out at a later stage. I always seal around the pipes before installing the tower on the wall and that will be enough
Depending how is done if a quick cheap job around 6 months to 5 years tops. If is a good job will last for more than 25 years that the supplier guarantees
Great video as usual! It would be nice if you could do a notification test to see how long it takes for an alert to be sent to your phone after spotting something. Additionally, it would be helpful if you could compare the performance between different models, including both cheap and expensive cameras, and how they fare in various environments, such as indoor and outdoor settings. This would give us a comprehensive understanding of their capabilities. Thanks! 👍
talk about re-inventing the wheel! I would never have the post box reliant on fixing into any insulation and it is far simpler to put in spacer sleeves that are simply using some plastic overflow pipe that can be tailored to the correct length and then get a solid fixing into the brickwork with a long frame anchor plug and screw. No need to chase around looking for unicorn horns and I bet the pipe spacer will be cheaper. If this post box is used like ours by all and sundry the abuse that it gets will loosen the fixings and then you are back to putting a sleeve in as should have been done in the first place.
