Not much. I made a quick video depicting how much room there is when the rear seats are up: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l-laDkt_-Ec.html
Hmmm. The iPhone 15 is pretty darn big without a case. The filter adapter has an edge that will get caught on things and I suspect it could easily break. Hence, I would not recommend using it as a case with the filter adapter installed.
Thank you for posting this video. I just had a similar experience with a working and unscathed iPhone 12 that I sent in as a trade-in for the latest model. Today, I was notified that the trade-in value would not be 39,000 yen but 100 yen due to the operating system not working properly. This is mystifying, to say the least. A few days before sending the trade-in unit, I had Apple run diagnostics on the same device and they told me it was operating normally without any issues. I will call up Apple Japan tomorrow and see if there is any recourse, knock on wood. If the matter is not resolved, I will never again use Apple's trade-in program.
@@simianproductions It started working every single time by using an original cable from the same trademark of my cell phone. I have a Samsung phone and it started working every time by using an original Samsung USB cable
Thanks for posting this video. I too have a problem not too far from your situation. I sent a 2018 MacBook Pro in for a trade in after trading to an M1 MBP. They offered $0 and when they sent it back the screen had a smear and scratches on it that wasn't on the screen when I sent it in. I took pictures before I sent it in and sent them to apple and they send me emails saying that they can't take liability in transit, almost reformatted emails. This damage obviously didn't happen in transit unless the courier opened up the screen and smeared and scratched the screen. Im thinking I should make a similar video to yours documenting their fail. I know its a trade in partner but what is happening at these partner places that apple doesn't know about?
The Suzuki infotainment system works with both iOS (CarPlay) and Android (Android Auto). So no, it works with either environment. Here is my review of Android Auto: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T-LisuB1kPg.html
Thank you for sharing your experience. I‘ve been also experiencing some troubles with my Iphone recently. As it just turned off without any reason. I think Apple is just beginning to be a classic and low quality trader, since their goal is only to achieve bigger sales and surely get more Money.
I am a very happy Apple customer. I use a bunch of Apple products everyday - Watch, iPad, iPhone and my new M1 Max Powerbook -- I feel that the quality hasn't degraded at all. I just wasn't very happy with the partner they use in Germany for their trade-in program.
You're welcome! You can connect your iPhone via Bluetooth to the Infotainment system, but it will only work as a hands-free for your phone. To properly use CarPlay and use all of its capabilities, you need to connect your iPhone via a USB cable.
Hi, I have a 2019 Jimny. Last week my grand mother was in the car and the Jimny displayed her iPhone on CarPlay and the phone was not plugged in any cable. It drives me crazy, I have never been able to connect mine wirelessly and thought it was impossible but it did work… her version of iPhone is quite old. Did someone succeeded the same thing without the cable ?
Thanks for the info ...is this a standart build in a Jimny , I am thinking to rent one in Africa , and it would be nice if it is standart build in. By the way are you as tall as 1.90m and can you sit comfortably in the Jimny and how are the sea s? Would you prefer a loose iPad 10.5 inch instead ? Because i see you can place on the bolt next down to the system . Kind regards
Hi, Furious Doe. As I mentioned in my first Jimny video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AEFJddVWHCo.html, CarPlay is included in the "deluxe" version of the car. The name of the deluxe version varies from country to country so you will have to contact the rental company to see what is actually installed in the car you plan on renting. I am only 183 cm tall and I have plenty of room (although I did mention in my earlier video I would like to be able to adjust the height of the seat -- which I can't). I just sat in my Jimny and took a photo with a ruler the space between the top of my head and the ceiling and it looks like about 6 cm. So you might just fit. Sorry, I don't understand the question about the iPad.
Hello i have a suzuki Jimny 2020, and i couldn’t connect via bluetooth to listen to music (it connect only to bluetooth to talk and respond to phone calls) To listen to music i am always connecting via a USB Cable and using carplay, any idea why my iphone 11 isn’t connecting via bluetooth?
Hello Youssef. To the best of my knowledge, the Suzuki infotainment system does not support wireless CarPlay. This means you can only use the telephone functionality via Bluetooth. To get the full CarPlay experience, you will need to connect your iPhone with an USB cable. You can check if your 2020 Jimny supports wireless CarPlay by doing the following: If your car supports wireless CarPlay, press and hold the voice-command button on your steering wheel. Make sure that your stereo is in wireless or Bluetooth mode. Then on your iPhone, go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap Available cars, and select your car.
Thank you, will try for Wireless CarPlay! But concerning to listen to music in bluetooth mode only (no usb cable and no carplay) how can i do it? (listen to music while only being connected via bluetooth) because my problem is when i connect my iphone 11 via bluetooth mode, i can answer calls and talk but when i try to play some music and i choose bluetooth (in the media section of my Car) there is no sound, and a message appear and say: “no media files found”
@@youssefalmedawar According to the SLDA manual www.suzuki-slda.com/Lists/User%20Manuals/User%20manual%20SLDA%20Europe_EN.pdf the Suzuki infotainment system supports A2DP streaming, but I have no idea how to get it to work.
@@youssefalmedawar Hi, not sure if you've worked this out since your comment is from 7 months ago - but on your iPhone check Settings> Music > EQ and make sure its off.
You mean the screen on the iPhone? Try this: Go to Settings: General and it is displayed under the group of settings (iOS 14.4): AirDrop, AirPlay & Handoff, Picture in Picture and CarPlay. If CarPlay is not displayed here, turn on Siri at Settings: Siri & Search.
@@simianproductions no i mean the screen on the car where you get to select apple carplay or android auto. I have the 2021 model and I can get apple carplay on my screen
@@aamiri9683 Hmmm. I do not recall having to "choose" either CarPlay nor Android with my 2019 model, it just came up when it was plugged in. Check your USB cable to ensure that it is a "real" data cable and not just one for charging.
In a pinch we can get one mountain bike in the back if we take off its front tire. We purchased a rack that connects to the trailer hitch to transport our bikes.
At 120 km/h it was 3800 rpm. I can't drive faster than 70 km/h here on the island, so when I return to Germany, I will post an update with this information.
