So nice to see you again, Blessing😊! Great song.... A truly classic of them. Please try 'Money money money' 🙏 Take care, B... See you soon ✌️ Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗😘👍
This is so sad... When he made the video his wife said " It sounds like you're saying goodbye" Not long after he died! 💔😢 Your emotions in this reaction are both sad and beautiful! 😢❤
Thank you for doing my request, I thought you would enjoy it as have so many other reactors who have seen it. I will subscribe to your channel now LOL.
You know, I've never heard anyone say a bad word about this song. It invites you in with a big friendly smile, and it's glorious. Brad Delp was the lead singer. Amazing voice. Sadly, he suffered from depression, and eventually he took his own life. Such a loss. Another thing: everyone who knew him said he was a great person: friendly, kind, gentle, down to earth, a regular guy and a great neighbor (for example, helping people mow their lawns). When he died, the band's website said "We just lost the nicest guy in rock and roll."
Angelina’s maternal grandmother Mery Zamani has had tremendous influence on Angelina and her career as she introduced Angelina to jazz at early age. From Republic Records bio, Angelina said “Today, I sing barefoot as a reminder of all the kids in the world who need help and support.” See Angelina's book "Mellom to hjerter" (Between Two Hearts) for background story of 6-year old Angelina meeting shoeless girl to whom Angelina gave her shoes. A few of the hundreds of covered/original songs by Angelina include: -- What A Difference A Day Makes (as 8-year old, sung Dinah Washington classic on Allsang På Grensen at Fredriksten Fortress in Halden, Norway on June 3, 2014. Yaya! Thank you for mentioning me and for checking out this great tune! You might like "Presence Dear" from their second LP. It's a nice love song about lovers who can communicate telepathically! Or if you'd rather a fun rocker, "Hangin on the Telephone"
Best rendition I've ever heard ... there isn't anything he can't sing from ballads to opera to metal ... he held that last note for 23 seconds. Check out O Holy Night, Gethsemane, Hallelujah Chorus ...
Hi Blessing! 🤗 I checked, and I didn't find any of your reactions to Meatloaf. He was an American singer who, with his composer/pianist Jim Steinman, made his start in musical theater, then went into creating albums. His styles go from frolicking fun rock to ballads that can break your heart. He recorded 3 smashing great albums referred to as the "Bat Out Of Hell" series. I guess, given the challenges I've been facing, the most meaningful single song I can recommend right now is "Heaven Can Wait." I hope you might consider it for a reaction. 😇🌹🙏☺️
It's Paul , having to use another account , can't leave comments on my other . She sounds great on this one! All the band sounds fantastic! Another winner 👏❤
Another great reaction! 👌 For something completely different by them (and longer than 2 mins) have a look at Rapture. It shows off another side of Blondie and how easily and successfully they manage to hop genres. It was the first song to feature a rap to top the charts 😊
Neil Young was quite an impressive guy. Aside from being an interesting performer, he was an electrical engineer. His son was mostly paralyzed, and wanted a toy train layout to operate. Neil invented an entirely new control system that his son could operate via head taps. Neil then approached my favorite train manufacturer, Lionel Trains, and formed a partnership with them. Later on, when Lionel Trains was in danger of going out of business, Neil invested heavily and saved the company from extinction. Lovely reaction, Blessing, thank you. I felt this song in my soul. 😇☺️😊🌹
There is so much power and energy from just his voice and guitar! The lyrics definitely added to the raw emotion. This is the first time I've heard this 👏
Indeed, this band is out of this world. Please check out their song 'Out of this World'. The song is about a British guy, Donald Campbell, who wanted to regain his world speed record on water in 1967 ( true story). There is a nice video here with footage from a film (Across the Lake, 1988, Anthony Hopkins) made about this guy. Channel: AmaroUK Three hundred miles an hour on water In your purpose-built machine No one dared to call a boat Screaming blue Out of this world Make history This is your day Blue Bird (name of his boat) At such speeds, things fly ... But only love will turn you around Only love will turn you around Only love Only love will turn you around
Thank you Blessing for those wonderful words about our country. Lee Greenwood wrote this song back in the 80’s and it was a big hit. They did this during Covid all over the country. I loved it. Lee with Home Free and the US Singing Sergeants….can’t beat that!!! Hope you can come some day!
Yes in many ways. After many years it all built up. I think the ultimate was when her mother refused to cancel Karen's wedding after stating her case & insisting she go through with it. Her mother only cared about money spent & embarrassment. I doubt it was even her money. She didn't earn a living by working.
Hi Blessing. You might enjoy hearing the original version of this track by the man who wrote it, Leon Russell. I found the Carpenters version a little bit sugary, Leon's version is raw emotion. 😇☺️🙏🌹😍
Lithium is a mood stabilizer used for depression and bipolar disorder. It should take away sorrow, but she is not ready to let go of it. Lithium doing this by suppress feelings, puts her in a "cage" against which she resists. But she has lived with sorrow so long that losing it now would be like losing a part of herself. That is what the whole refrain is about: "Lithium, Don't want to lock myself up inside, Lithium, Don't want to forget what it feels without, Lithium, I want to stay in love with my sorrow." It's about her inner feelings and she's fighting with her deamons, it's a very deep dark but also beautiful song.
This is at or near the pinnacle of the Marillion catalog. But it is not intended to be heard as a stand-alone song. It is the true finale of the 1993 concept album "Brave", which describes in a series of songs the horrible and painful life of a beautiful young woman who, as a child, was molested by her "respectable" father, who ran away from home to escape the habitual molestation, got caught and placed in an asylum when people chose to believe she was not sane to accuse her father of such behavior, who ran away from the asylum to live alone and underage in the big city, who fell into a crowd of heartless recreational drug users, who eventually found love, only to be rejected, and who then decided to end her life of unendurable pain by throwng herself off a high suspension bridge to her death in the murky waters below. That is "The Great Escape" this song tells us about, sung by the incredible Steve Hogarth in the first person. The "why did you hurt the very one that you should have protected" lyric, where Hogarth cups his hands like he's holding someone's precious heart, is a reference to her father. I'ts tough for a reactor to invest so much time, but maybe on your own you could give a listen to "Brave" in its entirety. When the band took the finished album to its record label, the execs were aghast that they were being asked to publish a record which seemed to suggest that suicide was a good way for a young person to end their emotional distress, so they made Marillion go back into the studio and add one more song, "Made Again", which gave us the girl still alive and successful at climbing out of her pit of acute depression. It is a wonderful favorite of fans who've been there themselves at one point in their lives, but "The Great Escape" will always be considered the final song in the young girl's tragic story. The vinyl album had a very clever artistic compromise built into it. If the needle veered one way near the end, you got "Made Again". If it veered the other way, you got about 15 minutes of water lapping on a shoreline.
