Maybe I was too smart for my own good, but I did so well in school because I noticed how to get the right answers through noticing patterns or memorizing formulas, but never actually understood what I was doing or how I was getting there. It's what happens when the school system prioritizes grades, tests and right answers over true understanding of knowledge taught.
So true. I remember me and my friends would mentally flush out a lot of what we studied after our college exams since the goal was the grade instead of understanding the knowledge. Sounds so ridiculous but you’re right, that’s what happens when the emphasis is on the grades instead of the knowledge itself
I agree, I think school-university was the last time you sorta just got put together by circumstance (i.e education) and from that friendships and relationships organically occurred, now as an adult its super easy to slip into loneliness and feeling like not having a community. For the teaching us to think, I think this is where philosophy lessons can be help but there should be an encouragement to come to your own conclusions rather than learn it dogmatically
I agree, the difference between teaching students what to think vs teaching students how to think is tremendous. Joining a dance community alleviated a lot of my loneliness when I moved to nyc by myself. Still a very tough transition but very thankful for the community 🫶
Hi, I’m wondering what you got from this experience that you couldn’t have got through daily meditation, all the realisations and wisdom you’ve described sounds identical to that which it’s now quite commonly recognised that meditation brings, aside from the horrific suicidal experience… To be honest I just can’t see the truth in ‘mother Aya’s’ assurance it would never do anything to harm you etc or something like that, when if it wasn’t for the three strong men that restrained you you could not only have seriously injured/killed yourself and seriously harmed others too. I really struggle to understand how such a hazardous frame of mind can be regarded as some sort of necessary/positive divine spiritual experience that was gifted for your betterment.
Hi there I did and do meditate. I'm sure people do come to these realizations through daily meditation. But not everyone feels call to meditate. Just like not everyone feels called to take Aya. There's no one size fits all path to healing, this just happened to be my path. "if it wasn’t for the three strong men.." You're inviting a lot of imagination and speculation when you entertain IFs. How do you know the medicine would've given me the exact same experience had the protectors not been there? I prefer to focus on what actually happened instead of speculating on what might've happened if certain variables were changed. To your point about coping mechanism. The mind likes to create a coherent narrative to best make sense of its' experiences. So to your point, it may very well be looked at through the lens of a coping mechanism. That doesn't disregard what I experienced. I got to experience what it was like to be mentally disabled. As a result I gained immense compassion for those currently in that headspace. I got to experience my mind turning on itself. I got to experience the power of surrendering and letting go. I got to experience trust in the universe. And what are the results of this experience? I and those close to me agree, I am more healthy mentally, spiritually, and physically. You're welcome to have a different interpretation of my experience, but the effects it has had on me stands true. I feel joyful and have found my purpose serving others using what I learned from this experience.
@@emmanuelkassi5844 there’s a reason he didn’t say “only”. Jesus achieved Christ consciousness, meaning he no longer perceived a separation of himself and the divine. “The father and I are one” He no longer identified with the ego based self that others called Jesus. He identified with the divine, thus the statement “I am the truth, the light, and the way” It’s the ego based consciousness that creates a separation with the self and the divine. And Jesus demonstrated a way to dissolve that separation so that we may recognize our own divinity within “Ye are gods” “The kingdom of heaven is within”
@@MomentsWithZhi "I am THE way THE truth and THE life" thats another way of saying the only way. There are no other paths to GOD the father except through me. I really hope he reveals himself to you bro, i say this with love Bro but wont argue about it with you. And this isnt an opinion ive seen enough evidence in my life to KNOW! God bless
@@emmanuelkassi5844oh I appreciate you 100 percent bro. Don’t get me wrong, I love Jesus. I found Christ last year and the relationship will forever grow in love. I just believe we all have different conception and relationships with Christ and that’s ok
He’s getting caught up in the semantics of the definition of multiplication. Multiplication doesn’t necessarily mean numbers increasing. If it did then multiplying negative numbers and decimals wouldn’t make sense. When you see a multiplication symbol you automatically know you’re talking about an object being grouped a certain number of times not an object x another object. Some may make the argument that there’s no unit or anything besides the multiplication symbol itself to indicate that. My counter argument would be that we shouldn’t need anything to tell us that because we already understand the concept of multiplication. It doesn’t need to be explained or laid out because it’s already understood. So if you’re teaching someone basic math, multiplication specifically, then just explain the concept first. Then once they grasp it they’ll automatically understand you can’t multiply an object by another object. It’ll just go without saying.
@@lawtonwilliams2279 mathematics is a language meant to describe the physical world, so in a sense it’s all semantics. It’s important to have linguistic consistency so as to not cause further confusions. Our understanding of the concept of multiply has always meant to create more of. And yet when this concept is brought into mathematics, exceptions arise with 1 * 1, negative numbers, and decimals. Except we don’t observe a negative multiplied by a negative number in the real world, nor do we observe decimals multiplied by decimals in the real world. He’s pointing out conceptual inconsistencies when it comes to our current language of mathematics.
Whoops I didn’t even mean to reply to you directly on this video. I thought I was commenting on the Terrance Howard video. Sorry for the confusion lol. Anyways fair point but my counter would be when it comes to rules and definitions there are almost always exceptions to the rule. For example, it wouldn’t be incorrect to say humans have 10 fingers because generally speaking that’s a true statement. Does that mean if a person has an extra finger or is missing one that they’re no longer human? Of course not. And so going back to understanding concepts, if you see someone with missing fingers, you automatically know that something went wrong. They were born that way or were maybe in an accident. That doesn’t need to be explained or even said. And it also doesn’t mean we need to change or adjust our definition of what a human is to cover every variable or outlier. That would be impossible. Going back to Terrance and multiplication. To your point yes we generally think of multiplication as something increasing. We also know there are exceptions, the ones you mentioned. Doesn’t mean our whole concept of multiplication is wrong or confusing and needs to be adjusted. That’s basically what Terrance is asserting. He’s not just pointing out an inconsistency. He’s acting like he found out this huge secret and our very foundation of math is therefore shattered. In another video he said our understanding is wrong and he has the newer right understanding. He even named it after himself calling it Terryology. That’s where the backlash is coming from.
@@lawtonwilliams2279 haha no worries, at first I was confused why the comment was made on this video lol. Back to your point. The rule that has the least amount of exception is better than rules with more exceptions. The existent of non 10 finger humans points to the existent of a more accurate statement. "Humans tend to have 10 fingers" is more accurate than "Humans have 10 fingers". This would resolve that exception and result in a more accurate statement. Terrence is claiming to know what the more accurate statement is. The grand claims that may result from this, I can't speak on simply because I haven't dived that deep into them. I can only say, I see the linguistic inconsistency that he is pointing out here. Much of mathematics is based on the ability to multiply decimals and negative numbers, despite these phenomenons not existing in the real world.
@@MomentsWithZhi “The rule that has the least amount of exception is better than rules with more exceptions” Agreed but rules are like fingerprints, each one is unique so some are naturally going to have more exceptions than others. But the point is that just because exceptions exist, it doesn’t make the rule wrong. Exceptions don’t dictate the rule. The problem we have with Terrance is that he’s trying to change the rule for the sake of less exceptions. “Terrance is claiming to know what the more accurate statement is” Yes and that statement is 1x1=2 which everyone knows is wrong lol “I can only say, I see the linguistic inconsistency that he is pointing out here” Again, anyone with a basic understanding of multiplication sees the inconsistencies(exceptions) that exist. That’s not the issue. The issue is Terrance saying that because exceptions exist then our concepts or understanding of multiplication is wrong. “despite these phenomenons not existing in the real world” Math not only deals with the real world but also possibilities and theoretical. This is where fractions, decimals and negatives come in to play.
@@lawtonwilliams2279 "But the point is that just because exceptions exist, it doesn’t make the rule wrong." A rule with less exceptions is one that is more accurate to describing reality. Thus we have old frameworks evolving into a new framework with less exceptions. That's how we went from geocentric (more exceptions) to heliocentric model (less exceptions) of the solar system. There was a time where "everyone knows" that the earth was flat. Turns out it was inaccurate despite it being congruent with their experience. "Math not only deals with the real world but also possibilities and theoretical." That's one of Terrence's main points as I see it. It's gone down the path of theoretical for the past few decades and strayed further from its' connection with reality. that being said, 1 x 1 = 2 and therefore everything else is mathematics is wrong (i'm paraphrasing terrence here lol), that is a bold mf statement. I can't say for sure it's true or for sure it's false, though I can see where he's coming from and I'm open to seeing what he can contribute to humanity as a whole.
Amazing story. This video really resonated with me. Very similar to my ayuhuasca experience in so many ways. I’m happy the medicine helped you so much. I see this video was posted two years ago. Looking forward to watching more of your videos and following your journey. I did two ceremonies almost a year ago now, and I am still processing it. The first ceremony was amazing. Second one was the most terrifying experience of my life. But exactly what I needed. I also receive downloads regularly. I also routinely get messages from mother Aya in my dreams. I’m planning to go back to the jungle soon.
Brother! You are awesome and free! You are your success! Period. You did this. You win, you conquered. Don’t ever forget that. Love and blessings to you always!!❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
i honestly feel happy that i found your channel, i have a kind of relating-like feeling to the old version of you, before Ayahuasca, and im so impressed about your growth and your awareness.. your videos inspired me today in getting through an emotion of stress and guilt.. and tp process it and find it's origins to finally let it go .. honestly, keep being authentic and never stop posting ❤️ Peace ✌️
Everyone wants a quick fix for their emotional and mental pain. Any DMT, drug, marijuana and alcohol kills the neurons in the brain. The Ayahuasca is a deep state program. Dr. Jerry Marzinsky's work is worth your time to consider before taking any drug of choice.
Thank you so much for sharing. I have reacently come across the realization that the future is not real after a medicine journey (not with aya). Also you have such great memory of detail. I am so curious about this medicine but that is exactly,y what I am afraid of: losing control, basically what you said about losing your mind and feeling it as eternity. This video made me laugh and cry thank you so much for this very real reflection. I have many times asked others what this medicine is like and never really receive a detailed answer. Thank you
This scares and intrigues me all at the same time. . I Know I need to do this now because I struggle with the same issues of overthinking judging myself etc. As scary as that sounds it seems so worth it! Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽✨
I'm glad this video resonated. If you truly wish to embark on this journey, take a moment to watch my integration video. There's info in that video that will make your journey during and after the experience less rocky. And feel free to shoot me a message with any questions or concerns! Much love and courage to you 💚
