Can i use this spray on the tan color HP matts and also can you please recommend a cleanjng spray that i can get at walmart and how long to let the matt dry before putting it back in my car. Thank you and keep up the good work. 🙂❤
Yep! Works great on any color of mats. I’d recommend Super Clean (purple bottle) from Walmart for cleaning. I’d dilute it down with water though so it’s not as strong. You can put the mat back in the car as soon as it’s dry to the touch!
I have just ordered some serum light and was feeling a little nervous - this is a really well explained great video and feeling more confident now - thanks very much :)
Hi pan can i ask you about ceramic spray overspray? I sprayed tw flex wax on my black paint and forgot to wipe it for a week Now i can get wipe it off Any suggestions?
If it was just a spray wax type product even a light enhancement polish will take those spots right off. Make sure you wash the vehicle and clay it first!
This is great and all, but my cars ceramic coated with G Tech coating but I don't use any of their products. I just rinse, use Armor All wash and wax, then dry it with a drying towel, use some invisible glass and it comes up awesome!!! it's just an Hyundai i30, a daily driver and not a Ferrari!!!
If it works for you, that's great! I'd recommend switching to Gwash for your soap and adding some sort of ceramic spray sealant afterwords instead of using the wash and wax soap however. You'll definitely see more longevity with your coating this way!
@@high-defdetailing1485 Thanks I did go ahead and by the G wash, best to keep things uniform as possible. I do have a quick detailer from the Chemical Guys it's not the G tech one but their stuff is pretty good, am I ok to use this one on my vehicle, cheers for the info.
I'd recommend the enhancement polish for sure. No need to go nuts on your dailly driver unless you're really particular. If you were planning to install a ceramic coating I would for sure do a One-Step or Two-step though.
@@high-defdetailing1485 any recommendations for one step or two step? What do you think of one and done? Im thinking only using foam pads since im a beginner
@@high-defdetailing1485 what do you recommend for one or two step polish? What do you think of Turtle wax one n done? With using only foam pads? Which kind of foam pads should i use I want to maintain my clear coat so not going to do too aggressive cut cuz im going to polish it maybe twice a year so
@@Messi10billy One and done would be great for a one-step. I've never used it personally but it looks like it would do the trick. I'd use a medium cut foam polishing pad and call it a day! Polishing twice a year with that shouldn't do much to your clearcoat 👍🏻
I made this for my customers at my shop and we install Gtechniq coatings so I wanted to keep it simple for them. You can use whatever brand you like as the categories of the products are all the same! Use a good quality soap, an iron remover, an all purpose cleaner, a detail spray or ceramic spray sealant, and a glass cleaner.
Thanks for this. seen all kinds of stuff to try and never been able to get them off. Because your video I tried goof off because it was the adhesive remover I had on hand did two vehicles in the time it’s taking me to try other magic eraser and scrubbing pads and junk.
Thanks! I sourced mine locally from a distributer but I believe they are now sourced through a few different companies. This looks to be the same one! lakecountrymfg.com/lc-power-tools-handheld-light/
I know I'm a little late to this video. Great explanation. I'm a mobile detailer. I'm going to get the same coating from.my detail shop. I had a question what is that light called & filter? Would appreciate it brother!
Awesome! It's a pretty user friendly coating even if you're in someone else's garage and climate control isn't the greatest (certainly helps, but CSL is nice to work with!) I sourced the light locally but you can also find info on it here: lakecountrymfg.com/lc-power-tools-handheld-light/
If you're worried about the dressing being slick I wouldn't risk it at all. As long as you use something that's water based and you "knock it down" with a microfiber towel afterwards you should be good to go!
You can actually let it sit for a while before buffing it off with zero issues. If you didn't buff it off at all though it would cure very unevenly and not look good!
For sure! I like the greenworks electric pressure washers for at home use. The 2000 psi one is a very well rounded and affordable pressure washer. That's what I started my business out with and it was a workhorse!
Thank you for this very informative demo! I purchased CSL to apply to my new car & glad I found your step by step process. I do have 1 question, you said you use brand new towels out of the pack, I get my MF towels from TRC & they always have a card saying “Wash before first use” now I’m not a professional Detailer so I’ve always followed those instructions. I have a new pack of 4 Edgeless 350 ultra plush towels that I planned to use when applying CSL so I’m now conflicted as your a professional & use new from the pack but they say to wash before use. This is an honest question as this will be my first time applying a ceramic coating & I want to make sure I do it right. Thanks!
Hi there! I'm glad the video was helpful! Those are some nice towels and will work great when leveling the coating. I've never washed towels right out of the pack :) It's more than likely a disclaimer from the manufacturer to make sure there's no dye or residue left from the factory. A good solid shake and visual inspection is all I do when I pull them out of the bag! Good luck and let me know how it goes!
@@high-defdetailing1485 Thanks for the quick response! That makes sense & I hope to get the CSL on my car soon. I just subscribed to your channel & will update after completion!
well i am new detailer and ofc you wanna customers and only way to get customers is priceing lower than others not much but litell. my prep work 2-3h long only washing the car... and 1 step polish 4-7h 5 year cheramic coating 720e too low or too hige?
Just figure out what a fair labor rate is for you and then add in your product costs and any overhead expenses you may have and that should get you pretty close!
I've watched countless ceramic coating maintenance videos since getting my car ceramic coated last week, and your video is by far the easiest and most pleasant to watch. straight to the point, not selling anything and full of detail. Thanks for making this!
Thank you for the awesome feedback! I'm glad it's helpful and hope it makes washing your car lot easier! What type of coating did you end up getting installed on it?
@@high-defdetailing1485 I got the gtechniq Crystal Syrum Ultra. Bought Ceramic Gwash, and C2V3 for my future car washes. Haven't had to wash it just yet, stays clean so much longer than it used to!
To wash cars? Certainly not! However if I'm paying someone a lot of money to perform extensive paintwork and protective services on my expensive vehicle I sure would hope they have training, certification, insurance, and a properly run business.
Thank you for your video I have been detailing aircraft for 20 years from Cessna 150 to corporate jets .buffing and polishing. Paint and Polishing aircraft aluminum. And interior. I have taken my skills and started detailing highend cars and learning about ceramic coating for the last year .... I respect you information. And your success. I pray for your company and great success. Sincerely Tony ...
In this case, this is a single layer of Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra. You can put on a top layer of Exo, but Crystal Serum Ultra is so strong by itself we get great results with just a single layer!
Yes sir! It's been tough to get content out b/c the business has been so busy, but I have about 4 to 5 videos already recorded that are in line to get edited and shared. Thank you for your patience and stay tuned in for more content soon!
@@high-defdetailing1485 happy to hear it. Im from Bali Sir, get much of information and learning here. I wanna say thank you and keep sharing caring and inspire 🙏
@@high-defdetailing1485 For me it has only positives, ease of application, the lack of scent (i hate scented dressings) the minimal darkening, and applied it over a month ago and holds the same as the day i applied it! For me it's the stuff ill ALWAYS go to when dressing and protecting my interior! Thank you for the video! Cheers!
That is not true! Ceramic coatings definitely help keep your vehicle stay looking cleaner, and they are MUCH easier to wash, but you still have to wash them!
What are some price ranges for the services? Like for paint enhancement, 1 step and 2 step and what’s a good range I should charge for a 2 year sealant and a 7 year coating on top of that? I’m just starting out paint correction and need a good range Ik the size matter
Great question and I know it sounds weird right? I often ask this to customer's b/c if they're going to never hand wash their vehicle and only take it through automatic tunnel washes with brushes for example I would not recommend them wasting their money on the top tier ceramic coating package. No need to pay the extra for a professional coating if it's just going to get swirled up and degraded from bad car washes. Maybe some sales people would disagree but I try and be honest and up front
These are the Barina ones from amazon. They're pretty cheap but have held up well! I really like how easy they are to link together and don't require any fancy wiring. Just plug and play.
you said that you want to wait til you see it bead but on the serum light box it says to wipe off immediately. But letting it set makes more sense than to just wipe it off immediately
Correct. They probably say that on the box for ease of application and to limit the risk of getting high spots. But waiting a good 30-45 seconds is the sweet spot I feel
Great video. I which you or anybody give a sample case.. they all talk about range, the best, the level etc. But a simple sample on a new car ( which I image is where we like to invest, I personally I am not going to spend 500 to 1000 dlls on a old car, I being buying card for 30+ years and never done it because is new stuff) again if people sample a new car out of the dealer with any kind of prep ( I am assuming not much, how much damage you expect out of the dealer?) and maybe pick a level of ceramic?.. Give us a number to start even if we know it might be little different at final cost. Seem all they want is to make us walk to the shop to grab us and trap to a most costly sell lie a dealership. Sorry I had bad experiences.
Will that solvent work on the tire crayon around the entire tire tread? Mineral spirits and goo gone did not work. It’s my spare that will be mounted on my camper and the lines are an eye sore for me. I won’t be driving on it 🙄
For sure! You can also try 3m adhesive remover - the kind in a can like lacquer thinner cones in. I’ve been using that lately and it seams to work faster than the tar and glue remover!
Woah, that’s crazy low and definitely not a professional job or product at all. A single 30ml bottle of a real coating could easily be $150 by itself 😂
Thank you! It is safe to use on paint, painted plastics, vinyl/decals/stripes, and even textured plastics. You can also use it on wheels. It is not recommended for glass or rubber weather stripping so you wouldn’t really get any results in that application.
Paying thousands for ceramic coating is a scam. It’s really not that hard if you’ve done your research. I do everything myself, maybe not up to “professional”standards, but good enough that it looks great and that 90% of people won’t see the difference.
Is it a scam to pay thousands to have a tradesman do work on your home? Labor alone to install a fence in our backyard averaged around $6k. I opted to do it myself - researched, rented tools, and killed a 3 day weekend doing it with some help. The results were good and I’m happy with it. It’s not a scam however to hire a professional to do their trade and provide a service that they’ve specialized in for a decade. It’ll be done professionally, in a timely manner, and usually backed up by some type of guarantee or warranty. Plus, you can use that time you saved to invest in your family or another activity. All depends on what you value and how you want to spend your time and money!
You can use a paint thickness gauge to give you some basic readings. They even make pretty involved ones that can tell you the difference between substrates as well. Just depends on how much $$$ you want to spend on one!
I have solution finish to test out, would it make more sense to put this on instead? Or let solution finish cure, then coat over that to make it pop the most This obviously being for faded plastics not new ones to keep protected m
Solution Finish is great! I sometimes will use that first if the trim is really faded. Make sure you wipe it all off and use a panel prep or IPA solution as well before going to C4. That's a great combo though!
Thanks for the response, how long do you let it cure usually? I have heard 4-6 hours before applying coating but before I find out myself it would help lol @@high-defdetailing1485
Yeah I probably should have edited the title, but I made this video primarily for my customers. Since I install Gtechniq coatings and they have a whole line of maintenance products to go with them I wanted to show a video how to maintain the coating for my customers.
Glad you stuck around for the whole video! Worth spending 10 minutes going over all the factors why someone will say a ceramic coating costs $300 and another will say $3,000!
