I could not agree more with the many that have watched this video and still cant adjust their machine correctly I believe a more realistic video should be an out of alignment laser machine being aligned in detail, that's a video that would help more
I thought this would really speed up my alignment, but man, it's been a bit frustrating because you don't actually show how to do it. You're assuming that the viewer knows 90% of what you're talking about. I wouldn't have purchased this if I did. Do you have a better video or document other than the 1 in x 1 in piece of paper in 3 pt font that was in the package?
Thank you for a fantastic video, I have purchased your laser alignment tool. I had one question, you mentioned a Method at the end, I could not make out what you said, it sounded like Swartz Alignment Method. Would you be so kind as to give a link to this method you mentioned so I can finish up the alignment as you have and as you intend on finishing yours please ; ) Thank You again. Please link this document. You seem like someone that really cares about details and quality - I’m sad to say that this doesn’t reflect on your website. Totally convoluted navigation, the product pages have mostly marketing speak and absolutely no details about the products.
This is a very handy tool. When I first set up my k40, mirror 1 was so out of alignment that the beam was leaving the box altogether and burning into my 3d printing table across the room.
I was a laser tech where we used 100 w and 250 w co2 lasers, we had air flow coming into the lens holder to always have positive pressure so no smoke came in. We maybe cleaned the lens once a month (with acetone). They ran 24hrs (some down time) 5 days a week. Our co2 came in trucks and was a constant feed type.
I like this company and the lens I bought from them. Looks like I'll be sending them more money. Only obstacle is the wife... Looks like back massages and Framboise will be needed.
Just received my adjustable head for my k40. Could not be more happy with the quality. However i am trying to set some standards for how high the head should be above the work surface. I am cutting 3mm acrylic mostly. Any recommendations?
new to this, and i do appreciate the video and explanation on it but, the zooming and moving side to side throws off the video for me.. my k40 should be here soon, hopefully i wont have much alignment to end up doing on mine, but if so then i'll give it a try, thanks yall
it is ok to move only the front or the back of the tube to make the tube alignment right. the tube does not need to be perfectly level the the machine or the earth.

I'm gonna come back and watch this in 40 years when they invent "Talkies"..... can't wait. For now, I'll just test every setting known to mankind in the hopes of being able to duplicate this cut.
So is the lens come in the steel ring or is that a separate purhase ? And can lens be added to it or every time a lens is needed need to buy the steel ring ? And what about the air nozzle part ? Reusing the Polar OG one or does it come too ? Not much info on that part. Thanks. Looks cool
The lens comes glued in the SS ring. It comes as a kit for $100. Lens, magnetic tube, and nozzle. You will need to use your original retaining ring and air fitting.
I think your red dot is moving because the red dot pointer has a small amount of play, it's not completely secure within the laser head. And any bit of vibration effects it.
Wow this is amazing! I hate how I can't clean my lens right now and I KNOW it's not lasting as long as a result. I will be picking up one of these kits and a spare lens right away! Genius
I bought mirrors and lens systems from you. I haven't had the time to use/change/really tune my extremely large OMTech laser. Are the mirrors you sell that much better than what my unit came with? I can't recall the model number. I know it was just about 10,000 usd when I purchased it.
I have a strange issue where all the mirrors seem to be aligned, but only on three corners of my laser. Top left near and far, bottom left near and far and bottom right near and far all line up and hit the center of the head. But as soon as I move it to top right far, the beam travels a full 5mm to the left (looking at the head from the front of the machine) does this sound like a beam angle issue or more of a physical gantry skew?
I thought it was pretty common knowledge not to go over 40% on these? At least I've seen it mentioned on nearly every forum post of people asking about power settings.
I bought one of these around the time this video came out 3 years ago. It aligned my 60w laser better than I ever could the old way. Here I am looking at it again as i just upgraded to a monster 150w co2 laser and the proper alignment tool ordered. Don't buy the knock off poor quality OMTech version, get this one. It's worth it and if you have an issue with it the customer service is as good as you would expect from a company where the owner himself is instructing on how to use it.
Hello sir i have the problem for my lens co2 the dot size is big i bought the lens theta co2 i installed it with my co2 tube glass. I changed distance between lens and matriel but the smallest dot size is almost 1.5mm.how can i reduce the size please thank you for your attention
I am a little co fused, after you aligned everything with the red laser you stated do not touch the adjusters again, but yet you went back and turned both adjuster knobs on both mirror holder 1 and 2. Please explain
Has anyone tried wearing them? 😎🥸? I was wondering if a lazer mirror could concentrate light for passive night vision? Kind of like how cat eyes reflect light.
Hi, my name is frank I was wondering if you can help me with my problem I replaced all the mirrors and I’m having a problem. Here’s a video maybe you can hel 0:17
I’m having problems putting my Bing binder lens on notice on once I have a bubble on the other side is flat and on the Bing combiner on one side and has where you can put the lens in and the other side is flat. What side goes to the laser beam.
