Incredible, I wish that musicians like you got the recognition you deserve, instead of these talentless hacks that make all the money. Sad world. You rule. 🤘🏼
5:33 you can hear Navene and Chaney from Entheos talking to one another lol. I've heard them tell the story of seeing this happen on the podcast before and sure as shit, there they are lol!
Great playing! I'm looking to use these in a new custom build but they don't seem to have a "trembucker" option - I noticed you have a floyd rose - any issues using these guys? They sound tremendous!
@@Capt_shred You don't happen to know their DC resistance, do you? I'm planning to set them up with an onboard EQ/booster and I'm trying to avoid high output stuff...
@@guiledoug I’m not sure the exact number but I will say in comparison to most pickups, I’d put them about medium hot. I use boost pedals like a very hot fortin 33 pedal maxed out. And my gain on amp is usually around noon. So I don’t think you’d have any issues. The truck is to lower the pickup a bit more than you’d think. Mine is about 4.5mm away from the strings. Hope that helps!
Ya know what? I like it. from one guitarist to another; keep fukkn support'n metal \m/ also, have you tried DADADGbE tuning? ...It's something I been playing in for a few years now.
I know it's heavy enough. But what about a true rough version of Sad but true with the Tallica? Since your sound is so good to begin with it could almost only turn out great. Just a suggestion.
can't decide whether I want the alnico or ceramic BH. Thoughts on possible differences? I'll be down low on a baritone but don't want to lose clarity with chunky chords but I know top end can be brittle with longer scales.
Personally I think the ceramic is better overall. I’ve tried both. The alnico is less compressed, slightly more dull. The ceramic sounds like the alnico with a facelift. More compression and oomph, but doesn’t lose clarity
Hi. This was done on a 9 string guitar vs the usual 8 that meshuggah uses. So, a string down. However, my guitar was tuned to standard vs the half step down that meshuggah does. So you are correct I’m playing in C# vs F which would be 2 whole steps down 👍🏻
So sick dude! They sound rich, full and very organic. How would you compare them to the Fishman Fluence models? Is the bridge pickup too harsh and pointy?
Comparing to the fishman fluence moderns they’re very different. To my ears the fishman is like an emg on steroids. A lot fuller with an accentuated mid bump. The lundgren BH is more clear and articulate. Also a tad scooped around 800hz. With extended highs. I love it bc it has that airy topend and really cuts through. Zero mud. The fluence can get muddier imo
@@Capt_shred Thank you for your candid response. I do agree that Fishman's are hyped up and improved version of EMGs. However, even the open-core series seem to be quite impressed. They keep the noise floor low but the organic character and nuances of a passive pickup aren't retained. Thanks for the note on the scoop around the 800hz frequency, I'll be sure to bump that in a mix when I'm recording demos. I just played mine today after the guitar came back from the tech and you're absolutely right about zero mud! They do have an open sound with an airy top end, it's there but it's not ridiculous since technically, the bridge is a medium output pup.
