Why yes thank you! Check out an album by my band PDP called the Arcane Ascent. Original music in this style. Also a big influence on this sound for me growing up was a band called Admiral Angry, my buddies from high school. Check out their album Buster. Other than those just meshuggah ofc and some stoner/doom bands like Conan 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

@@Capt_shred You know Admiral Angry? That's sick! I just talked to their bassist Brandon Gillichbauer a few nights ago over instagram. Really nice guy, told me about how he gets his tone and some updates on Admiral Angry, apparently they're planning on releasing more material if they can get back in contact with their vocalist Chris Linblad. RIP Daniel Krauss.

Hi. This was done on a 9 string guitar vs the usual 8 that meshuggah uses. So, a string down. However, my guitar was tuned to standard vs the half step down that meshuggah does. So you are correct I’m playing in C# vs F which would be 2 whole steps down 👍🏻

Guy Buddy hahaha you hope I'm a teenager, for using a term correctly? A little backwards there. By the way, I've more than 25 years experience in music/metal, am a classically trained composer, so no I'm not even close to a teenager. Though it's probably more related to my degree in English, why I feel words should be used properly/appropriately. In metal terms sludgy indicates sludge which is a specific genre. This is not sludge. A teenager would make such mistakes, so you've got that backwards bud.
