Watched the game Live in Neyland and man was it a s*** show. Not capitalizing on turnovers, Milroe looking awful most of the time, Players practicing their jump shots during plays, 15 penalties etc. I will give credit to the UT fans as the stadium was absolutely deafening at times. Bama has to get some things corrected or we might be staring at 8-4. Good show again guys and RTR
I do think Deboer is in a really tough position, Milroe helped keep this team together after saban left. A lot of Bama fan base already counting Deboer out. If he sits Milroe and if Ty does not pan out then you really have a problem and they are going to try and run him out of Tuscaloosa.
He is, but we've seen what he has in Milroe and the limitations there. I don't think the fanbase will lose it for trying something new even if it doesn't fully work out.
I think the offense has potential to be a legit with the right guy at QB. The plays were there to be made. Just did not execute. I’ve tried to give Milroe the benefit the doubt but he’s not the guy in my opinion.
Drew, you're 100% correct. The offense can absolutely not function when he's not completing simple passes. It hinders and limits our playbook. Ty needs to get a look. Appreciate you listening as always, Drew!
I didn't say it on the show, but I totally agree. You know what you're getting with Milroe, and in my opinion, you can't win a championship with him especially in a 12 team playoff. Ty will elevate the passing game and keep the offense more on schedule. We don't know it for sure, but I sure thing a change needs to be made or at the very least, the leash needs to be short. If I was an OC against Bama I would go for it on every 4th down from unless I’m inside my own 35 yrd line. I would do that until Bama defense showed me that they could stop it consistently. I have to say it but I’m not sure our defense could consistently get off field. Roll Tide

The offense has to find an identity in running the football outside of Milroe. I am perplexed they can’t move the ball on the ground with the line and backs they have. Also would love to see Keon Keeley get a little playing time. We got to find someone that can get consistent pressure on the quarterback since apparently Kane Wommack is allergic to blitzing.
Agree with all of that Aaron. The traditional running game seems to be the missing piece. Keeley has a ton of upside, but he's learning a new position so I doubt we see him. Appreciate you listening brother!
This team is terribly inconsistent on both sides of the ball. They lack discipline, leadership and coaching in my opinion. It's hard to focus on just one area of concern and that's not good either. Now I think some of it can be corrected, but they need some leaders to step up. Some of the scheme and situational coaching is just bad if you ask me. As Bama fans we are obviously spoiled, but this level of play isn't really acceptable when you look at the talent level compared to the opposition recently.

I don’t understand how we did not put pressure on the QB by sending blitzes all game long, until the game is on the line after they got the onside kick. When we needed a stop or we lose the game, then we start sending the house. Why not put pressure on the QB all game long and make him beat you under pressure!! Don’t wait until it’s get a stop or you lose!

As a GA, I thought we would loose against Bama. But a close loss. It healthy to loose now and then in life. It makes you more resilient, better, and humble, or it should. I’m just happy it was early in the season. I think this will fire GA up to beat TX, Miss, TN, and win it all. Now that depends on injuries just like any other season

I disagree with the field rushing. I’m all about celebrating a win, but I like the attitude of expecting to win every single game! A win for Bama should never be a surprise. We should walk in with the attitude expecting to win every game because we prepared and won already throughout the week!

Nah I want Bama to be a program that doesn't rush the field. Little brother programs do that. The coaching staff needs to emphasize the importance of each game and the team needs to be prepared for each opponent, but as a fanbase I don't want us rushing the field against anyone. Bama is Bama and They are the bluest of Bloods.
Agree with all of that Tom! You can celebrate without rushing the field and you should expect to win every game. That expectation doesn't mean you can't prepare to the level that is required to play to the standard of Alabama football. I definitely think the coaches and players had a sense of entitlement and complacency coming into that game. That is what made Saban the best to ever do it. Players didn't listen to Coach, who warned them. Play calls weren't different than v ugag, was players being ignorant while disrespectful pregame v Vandy players.

I would say a combination of things led to the loss. The big win against UGA and the emotional let down against Vandy, Vandy being better than usual and executing flawlessly and Alabama having some real problems on defense with getting pressure and making adjustments in game. I feel like Bama should beat Vandy with Bama playing a D game and Vandy playing an A game though. Just a weird unacceptable loss. Hope that was a fluke when it comes to effort and not preview of things to come. Sidenote: Yes the shirt was awful. Looked like something you would get in a bag during Bama bound student orientation.
Going for it on fourth down had nothing to do with the Georgia game, he thought he could get a 1 on 1 with Barion Brown and he did that. And it was on his own 20 not 30 and it was a 63-yard pass and catch. Stoops is the most disrespected, hated coach in the SEC and America. Stoops career record 76-67 at Kentucky but 66-67 really after the NCAA took away 10 wins in 2021.
Under normal game conditions when the score was 0-0 Bama was more prepared and they outcoached/outschemed UGA. UGA did adjust once the game became a blowout and the score allowed them to do things that weren't normal. Going for it on 4th down at your own 29, airing it out over and over etc. I give them credit for making the come back, but I feel like Bama dominated when it really counted. I wouldn't expect Bama to go 7/7(or whatever it was) on 4th downs including the penalty first downs even against the citadel. The probability of that happening is very low. Props to UGA for executing but it was abnormal.RTR
I 100% agree with you Tom, and I dont think enough people are talking about that when analyzing the game. To me, the 1st half is what should be used to forecast both of these teams going forward. I’m not giving the defense a pass on the 4th downs. But any other “normal” game most of those would have been punted back to us. I agree we shouldn’t have given up every 4th down conversion, but Saturday was a different circumstance they had to abandon the punt any other game we would have been off the field.

Milroe has his flaws.. but the rest of the country is scared of him and has so much respect for him.. but some Bama fans hype up other QBs and speak negative on our QB.. that stuff can affect new recruits

Hey Clyde! We don't believe USF almost beats Bama. We were just were saying that the game was a one possession game going into the 4th quarter, and that many Alabama fans brought up if this play had gone different or this one, it was a blowout. We were making the point that if you play that hypothetical, you have to do it from the USF perspective too because they left plays on the field too. Even with both teams making mistakes, it took Alabama turning it on in the last 6 mins if the 4th to pull away. Hope this explains our stance better! Appreciate you listening and hope you subscribe!
Hi guys I just found your channel and subscribed and right off the bat ya'll are talking about Jalen doing his check downs, like if one person criticizes him on this then this is the narrative from now on no matter what he does, he doesn't have to turn his whole head side to side to read progressions his eyes do move side to side without turning his whole head; so you two and others just need to stop with all the same retorect it's like monkey see monkey do because ya'll heard one person say it all ya'll say it. I say this because I see a lot of podcasts and ya'll run one thing to death because Jalen evidently is doing just fine doing things his way and probably the way a lot of quarterbacks , the way you and all these lowkey haters just have to find something to criticize him on. Who cares about slants if he doesn't need it,just saying. So please do better , because I don't see any other quarterback doing better than Jalen I guess every other quarterback is reading all these progressions but yet they can't deliver and score like Jalen, so in the end all of these progression reading quarterbacks don't mean anything if they can't score so please stop talking about that, find something else to criticize if you must. It's obvious yall are Alabama fans. The sarcasm and the almost joy of how the Auburn Cal game went is very isolating. If you want to do an Alabama fan podcast more power to you but if you want a wider national audience then be less biass and talk the numbers and the game and you'll get a better response. It wasn't a pro Cal clip but definitely an anti-Auburn podcast clip.
