We quit our jobs in 2018 to travel the world. After backpacking through Asia for some time we decided to explore the USA during a 3 months road trip by motorbike. But we fell in love with our new found freedom and decided to keep riding all the way to Patagonia! We had just reached South America when the pandemic forced us to abandon our motorbike and belongings in Colombia and we sadly had to fly back to Europe. Since then we have been exploring closer to home, riding across Germany and Austria. Our 16,000 km trip across the UK also saw us travel from Land's End to John O'Groats.
We are excited to share our adventures with you. If you enjoy our content and want to support our journey you can now support us with a tank of fuel!

Nice vedio, is the weight of this bike manageable? and seat height, I'm 166 cm with 60 kg. how does this bike experience on the highway & in the city? Anyway great video Be safe
Dear Your videos are truly impressive! However, I've noticed a slight optimization issue in one of your videos. I've taken the liberty of sending a message to your email, Facebook, and Instagram regarding the optimization matter. Kindly take a moment to review it at your convenience. Thank you!"
Totally a sidenote: whoever has a choice to buy from uk or eu website, choose eu (just don't ship it to uk!!), this gives 2 year warranty, because it's mandatory within eu. This Brexit thing is real annoyances when it comes to warranties, because now all of them got reduced to 1 year :(
About universal adaptor, please read the instructions and make sure your phone case or your phone material itself matches the requirements. There are quite a few videos online who complain that 3M (that's what at the bottom of universal adapter for gluing it to your phone) disconnected from their phone and phone went flying only because they tried to use it on not compatible materials. I myself used universal adaptor on my previuos phone (because Quadlock doesn't make cases for it), BUT after learning this and checking I realised my current phone case was NOT compatible. So, I bought a new case just to be able to attach universal adaptor.
My biggest gripe with it that it's hard to attach to the mount (my friends say the same). When you get lucky, it's like in videos - flawless. But 1 out of 5 times you'll struggle a bit, 1/5 will be perfect 2/5 will be acceptable, and 1/5 will be so difficult, that you will need your eyes or fingers see/feel exactly where the phone and mount is to be able to attach. If I already hadn't had multiple things from them I probably would try a competitor. Can't recall the name, but the one which uses magnet to guide the attachment (not to hold, but to attach). I use Quadlock on bicycle, car, and motorcycle so the switch would cost a few hundreds at this point, and Quadlock is a good system anyway. However, they should really come up with something to make attachment easy. Like a magnet! But on the new Mag they added a magnet, but instead doing it properly they made a magnet only for attaching to fridge or a car phone holder (because it's hold only by a magnet) and things like that. Of course, their goal was to stay compatible with old systems, and I guess now they stuck in middle ages :( Don't get me wrong, it's a good system, I used other and cheaper mount systems, they simple break with your phone flying. Quadlock so far the only which is capable to not break on bicycle (because bicycle not having suspension is the harshest punishment for the mount (on motorcycle I don't do off-road with very few exceptions).
Great review girls! We love this system too! We should maybe use an old phone on too, as it's a bit boring to remove it every curve to take pictures sometimes 😂 .back on RU-vid we'll done💪🥰
Love my Quadlock which is a cheap investment compared to replacing or repairing my phone! Thanks again for great vid that educates us on what’s out there !
Hi Fiona, thanks for the video. Very informative. This is probably a dumb question, but, your lowered Rally Pro’s seat height is roughly the same as the GT low model. Why not start with that bike instead of going through all the trouble of lowering it? I have a 2020 GT low. I’m 5’6” but with 30” inseam (almost same as yours). Do you find the lowered bike makes it hard on your knees for longer rides? (Since they have to bend more than on a taller bike)

Hello and thank you for your time and review. I’d like to ask you a question in regards to the 900 vs 1200 discussion. You mentioned that you rode the 1200 2 up, but mostly rode it solo on this particular trip. You said that you would prefer the 900. I can only purchase one more bike and need to decide between the tigers. Do you generally prefer the 900 because you don’t need to ride with a pillion? Is there anything beside the weight that makes you lean toward the 900? My wife wants to ride pillion for date nights. I am looking for a bike that I can commute to work on, can handle weekend trips with the wife or kid through the mountains and still be able to handle some basic “f roads” I think you called them. Anyway, I want the 900 weight but the 1200 power. Do you know what you would choose if you were in my shoes? I have a ktm 500 exc for serious off-roading, which makes me lean into the logic that the 1200 is more of a touring friendly bike. I’m sorry if this was too long lol.
When girls kiss each other, I'm outta here. Makes me wonder what the passenger does to the driver while riding 2 up. Unsubscribed after 2 minutes of being subscribed.
Just test ride one of these found it amazing looking to do maybe simliar touring like yourself but i am torm between the lighter 900 for the off road parts as the demo bike i had wasnt aloud off road 😒 very well put together video only just come across your channel
I have this bike, and the keyless system doesn't work about 10% of the time (engine won't start). Please Triumph, give us back an option to start the bike with a physical key.
I stumbled on your channel because I’m also taking a trip down to Argentina from Texas. One question now what company did you use to cross the Darien Gap? What is the name or what is the website to the peoples boat that you use?
Great job. Thanks for this interesting review based on concrete rider feedbacks and all these nice pictures of your trips. Great video editing & drone shooting.
I am at 164 hight and this has always been an issue for me .. What bike will I be able to ride when I get my Lisence? That means: What Bike should I be lok out for to buy? So this Video is very helpful to have some ideas what can be done on a bike to achieve the "touchdown" effect for secure stand. Thanks very much. Greetings from Oldenburg/ Germany
Awesome review I have the Rally Explorer and more than pleased with it yes it is still top heavy especially with the 30L tank and I agree with everything you said especially the keyless I would also like just a light or just a message to say key out of range. Miss your videos looking forward to your videos on the 1200. I don’t think the 900 is a bad bike but would love to see some of the 1200 specs move over to the 900 like the semi automatic suspension and the shaft drive and even the 30L tank but maybe it would be to expensive so do you think we’ll ever see a 900 rally Explorer 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
You did the right thing to lower it. All the playing teeter-tooter advise, thanks but no thanks. My bike is lowered 1&3/8" in back and 1" in front, I'm very happy with how it rides, and very happy with maneuvering. You don't really need both feet down flat, you need enough foot on the ground to be comfortable and not have so much weight of the bike on 1 leg when stopped.
Biggest issue apart from the lack of basic things like odometer, engine temp and trip meter on the main display is that 1st gear idle is WAY TOO FAST. When you need to walk the bike out of a bog under its own power the idle speed of 18kph is way too high. Being a shaft drive you can not even change a sprocket yourself to tune the speed.
Get a BMW 1250 GS if your heart is set on a shaft drive… honestly though just get a chain drive. You can adjust gearing with a sprocket change so the bike rides how YOU intend to use it.
I just purchased my 1200 Rally Pro, and I'm wondering about the maintenance. I'm about to submit to the first 600 mile service, but after that I plan to do my own. Is there anything special that you've noticed?
Well the main observation being how great the service intervals are. I only had the basic first service and then the second one wasn’t due until 10,000 miles. I didn’t ride the bike after its second service. But I did have some issues with the hydraulic clutch during my travels. Some air got into it and I had to bleed it once we reached Athens. Enjoy your new ride. I wish I could handle it better - great bike!!
A very nice review, thanks alot. The "airvents" I think also come in handy when you want to get a power cord into the tent. Some camping spots offer this service for extra charge. Stick the cord in and close it again otherwise some mosquitos will find and get you :)
