It's really fun ones you get it so I definetly recommend it :) a trick I'll give is that you really have to hang in there, the learning part is the hardest thing of this level. And don't get unlucky like I did :p but Good Luck :)
5:55 - "How am I supposed to know that?" ... maybe because you've bounced on top of enemies for _half the game?_ Well, we all forget certain things sometimes. (I might have beaten the final boss, final phase, on my first attempt but it's been such a long time since my first playthrough). Minor notes: - The word "lich" is generally pronounced "litch" and is an archaic term for a dead body / corpse, though D&D has popularized its usage as specifically an undead spellcaster/mage reanimated/sustained via some kind of magical artifact. - The "New Game Plus" option doubles the damage you take from enemies, and I think it removes several checkpoints. No room for error here, you _definitely_ have to be on top of your game to take it on. - Plague Knight's campaign is generally harder, but also kind of funnier. It runs in parallel with Shovel Knight's campaign, with slight tweaks to the level designs, hence why they call it an "alternate quest". - Specter Knight's campaign is a prequel story (and contains story spoilers for Shield Knight, definitely not something you should play first) with completely new levels that you teleport directly to from your hub. - King Knight's campaign is vast, with nearly double the levels (but the levels are a bit shorter individually) and a (thankfully, optional) card-collecting minigame on the side. It really was the grand send-off for the game as a whole.
Too bad about losing the footage from Propellor Knight's stage. (Favorite BGM in the game) But good work making it through to the final level! The rematch with Black Knight is my favorite fight in the game, and the Boss Rush becomes _particularly_ difficult if you're playing a New Game Plus.
Tinker Knight is one of my favorite boss battles in the game, because of how pathetic his first phase feels, only to make up for it with his GIANT ROBOT in phase 2. It's too bad about the lost recording from Polar Knight's stage, but you can always replay a level (for collectibles and whatnot).
True I'll definetly do the levels I mist by either replaying then or doing them in hard mode ;) And Tinker knight is also my favorite boss in this game, they nailed that one
You might not completely notice it while playing, but you ARE getting much better! Each of three "mid game" levels quietly teaches you about sand and stone blocks, and also the ability to cancel out of a shovel drop (by attacking midair) -- without which you couldn't possibly have survived the volcano block puzzles. Good game/level design tends to feel invisible.
Specter Knight (like Black Knight) really brings the difficulty on your first few attempts, but it turns out his patterns are actually rather strict, so once you finally memorize them he goes down quickly. Good work on having cleared the first section of the map!
"decadent" - (pronounced "deck-adent") - in this context meaning self-indulgent but in a negative, prideful way. The true king of Pridemoor was exiled to the bar in the Village after King Knight took over his keep. And Yes, King Knight is arguably the easiest boss in the game, since his patterns are simple and easy to avoid.
Oh, a new Shovel Knight playthrough in 2024? You were in for a ride! Some quick notes: - "Cerulean" is a type of light blue color. (I think the pronunciation goes "sir-ruly-en") - "Steel" (with two E's) normally gets used as a noun, but it _can_ be used as a verb, in which manner it typically means "sharpen" or "strengthen" -- so, Black Knight saying "Steel thy shovel!" is a shovel equivalent of "draw your sword".
A bit of a different style video than I usually make but I think it still turned out well and I hope you enjoyed ;). I also want to thank you guys agian for the 69 (lol) views on last video, thanks a lot!
