“If everyone buys a special shoe it’s not special anymore” someone thinking like that is not a sneaker head, that’s a follower. Whatever is special to you is important. A sneaker head knows shoe history, knows shoe materials, designers of their fav shoes, wears their shoes, keeps some special, wears reps of the ones they can’t afford cuz they just need to have em or just saves the paper until they can buy em. Sneaker heads are people that care about shoes in general not how much they can gain off of the shoe or how many people know they can wear or buy it.
Pains me to see fellow jordan lovers critisizing rep buyers as broke, when we simply have priorities elsewhere, and yet still love that particular colorway, design, collab, etc. And quite frankly retail prices from nike are reasonable. It's the resale prices and artificial scarcity by Nike us rep buyers are on about. On both sides, it's the resellers that are the worst: They gatekeep the popular retails and amp up the prices, while rep resellers, who get decent UA or 1:1, try to pass theirs as authentic, taking advantage of the authentic reseller prices. It's the reseller stores who are the ones killing the sneaker culture. I'm totally cool with people collecting as they feel a connection with what the shoe's history or story envibes, and people selling their used pairs putting them up on ebay and such, and people who simply just buy lots of shoes because there's just so damn many good colorways to choose from.
Great video man, very intersting. I know you said that this silouette doesn’t go with your vibe but if you had to pick your favourite city model which one would it be?
You should've prefaced the video by saying "I'm a kid and think the (ugly as sin) Air Jordans are amazing". That way I wouldn't have been so appalled by your disliking of the PERFECT shoes. Gazelle, Campus, "city series" and chuck taylors. Those should be the only sneakers sold around the globe.
Great video! Very informative and I appreciate your mad respect for the grandfather that started it all of the sneaker biz. Love my Chuck Taylors. Rocked them in the 80's and doing so again today. Have about 13+ pairs along with my Nikes. Will definitely pass your video along to others to help them become more aware.
One of the most underrated models during the 90s due to the Nike AM90. Love the Asics Gel-Lyte III , especially the Afew Red Koi, did a couple of reviews on this model!🔥
I got upset that I could never get my hands on Dunk Lows. Then I came across with the new Purple Green Gel Lyte III in Asics store and was impressed with the look and quality! Not to mention no need to spend a fortune on Stockx and not able to try on!
i hate the silhouette since i was kid as air max looks much cooler....until i got myself the patchwork design and i got another 2 more after that after i understand them...lucky this is not as hype as jordan/dunks...its a perfect old man shoes LOL
