City Series was from the 70s not the 80s and was more aesthetically pleasing than Nike designs from the same era.

Best quality City Series Retros are: Adidas Hamburg - Made In Germany (2015), Adidas Köln (2017), Adidas Berlin (2018)

Subbed for the history series. I liked the city series since I listened to Oasis and influenced by British subculture since I was a teen.

Love the Adidas City Series and the Island series got quite a few pairs! Outside of England and Europe you just simply wouldn’t understand the casual culture and how adidas trainers are a big part of it!!!

Fair points mate - I would disagree and say that the simplicity makes the footwear and the majority of the City series are great

Oh and. Simplicity is neat. Clean and sharp. I am a US 11.5. If i wear Jordans or Airforce i look like a clown. Therefore the slimmer adidas suits me better. You can also dress up while wearing Adidas Cityseries or Island and so on. You cannot look as good in Jordans or those other oversized looking shoes with 8 different colours.

The Adidas Gazelle OG is the nicest shoe of all the shoes of that era. The Gazelle look good with anything, unlike those Jordan 1s🙄.

(out of city series) ///Belfast would be the ultimate👌🏻 🇬🇧 Plus the whole Island series ×2. Many pairs of ///jeans, Gazelle, Bermuda, Topanga, Tobacco & trimm stars... Also OG Mallison & a pair of Rouge.. 80odd pair in total.. Oh & the og c/w LA trainer & a few pair of Country

They are far more popular in the uk and people try hard to get their hands on them so they can wear them on the terraces.

I really like the city series - I think they look good and are great for the collection. Anyone who likes Adidas will have o e City series in their collection - gazelles are a legendary casual /terrace style trainer. 👌

The trainers were better quality in the 70s, adidas were made in west germany usually, the mambas and kick were cool.

"a color in line with that particular city and country" ? Oh really??! How so exactly? London England is typically red/black in what respect?? Dublin Ireland is typically blue/orange how? Copenhagen Denmark is typically yellow/black in what way? Well, yeah I guess the Swedish flag is blue and yellow and so was the Adidas Stockholm....but that's about it. Come on, get real and don't be a sucker for the marketing hype. Adidas chose those colorways just because they thought they looked good - not because of any fatuous "link" to the name on the shoe.

Sorry to say this but you’ve not got much knowledge of this type of shoe at all they are NOT 80s for a start they were from the 70s and NOT modelled off the Gazelle either. Most of the city inspired models are leisure shoes The suede upper variants started with the Athen in 1968 ending with Berlin 1980. Sales of the shoe were exceedingly high but plummeted by the early 80s in favour of tennis,indoor,runners and jogging shoes from France and Taiwan. The comeback of these types of shoes was 2001 and progressed from there and still being made today……

No offence mate but you are wrong. The city lines are the best trainers Adidas make . And by the way, it's Adidas NOT Adeedas

You should've prefaced the video by saying "I'm a kid and think the (ugly as sin) Air Jordans are amazing". That way I wouldn't have been so appalled by your disliking of the PERFECT shoes. Gazelle, Campus, "city series" and chuck taylors. Those should be the only sneakers sold around the globe.
