I'm Jake, an artist and tutor. Thank you for your interest in my content. My aim is to share my passion with you and keep you inspired to create. You'll find technique videos, time-lapses, live streams, challenges, artist interviews and more. All educational and entertaining, I hope!
Fantastic!, thanks! I learned so much today. You might enjoy knowing how I found you here on RU-vid. Yesterday I attended an Opus online demo from Vancouver Island with Tom Shepherd, which led me to his RU-vid channel and then on to you after he spoke so well of your work!
Your way of explaining the thing is too gud n easy to understand than other you tubers but the lemon was too fast as I am having problems while blending two colour ion figures and cast shadow n making clouds please can you do proper tutorial of that like the one you have done for sky
The subtractive primaries are cyan, magenta and yellow. That's why they are used by printers (with the addition of black). The whole deal about the YURMBY wheel is that it combines the three primaries of digital/additive colour mixing (rgb) and print/subtractive colour mixing (cmy). I recommend to everyone to do the test and make two colour wheels with cmy and the traditional bry as primaries. I find the mixed colours of the cmy wheel to be way more vibrant. I'd argue though that the best approach for mixing paints is the warm and cool primaries you showed. So you can have magenta and red and also cyan and blue.
The first two videos I found about sharpening pencils are by read-headed guys with beards and flannel shirts😂 (the other guy is Switch and Lever - "100 Ways to Sharpen a Pencil")
Brilliant straightforward no nonsense demonstration. No faffing and straight to the point (pun intended). Love the health and safety notice tok (ha ha). Thanks mate.
Aww, you deserve a place on the show! Hope to see you on it soon. I think you have to be very brave to do it. I couldn't stand all those people watching me paint!
I just spent ages searching for a knife to sharpen my graphite pencils - I'd love one of the Japanese knives but can't afford the price - then I found your video! Thank you. This is just the sort of knife I want that I now know will work for me and I can get a supply of blades. 👍
