Hi, my name is Kristoffer Fons, and I’m the guy behind Destination Well Known. I’m a Danish travel blogger who has been travelling the world and writing about my experiences for over 10 years.
I’m a massive travel-planning geek and used to run my own travel agency. So it's safe to say that I love to dive into details about airport transportation, the best places to stay and what to do in a new city.
I hope that shines through in my travel videos and that you find my content helpful.
If you're Scandinavian, you might know me from Rejsekris.dk (🇩🇰), Resakris.se (🇸🇪) or Reisekris.com (🇳🇴), where I've been travel blogging since 2013.
Hello sir how can I reach you in social media accounts... please reply this comment i really need your help as I'm a international student and coming this September please help me 🙏
I went to kruezberg and other areas ,, most places are safe from what I can tell from my experience in Berlin ,, unless you look for trouble like in any place Eating to many kebabs may cause you issue though
6:27 At last, a decent no nonsense guide to what else to see in London. I'd like to thank you for your outsider's insights, will recommend you to friends due for another visit and would highly recommend booking a slot for free in the fabulously uncluttered Horizon 22. What an experience! We are but ants on the surface of the planet...
Just returned from København a couple of days ago, and you're right- no need to have a car there! Great place, but quite crowded this time of year. What's the best off season time to visit? Cold/rainy/snowy weather is perfectly fine for me.
Good video, some of my favourite places in London - St. Dunstans, Mercato Mayfair, Leadenhall, Borough Market (closed Mondays btw). Camden is insanely crowded on weekends, as is Brick Lane, both more manageable during the week.
No vest required. The knife crime problem is greatly exaggerated. Most violence is gang related, so doesn't affect ordinary folk. I avoid dark alleyways at night, but I do that everywhere, not just in London.
First time I've seen one of your vlogs and really enjoyed it so I've subscribed, good content and great commentary, said with a lot of affection for the subject , looking forward to seeing more ,cheers mate .
Most important advice for vacation anywhere in Scandinavia: only visit in June/July/August. The rest of the year is depressing, dark, cold and terrible.
@@destinationwellknown if you live without kids yeah. But with kids and if you live there long-term, it is pretty nice :) Btw, Bismarkstr, Adenauerplatz and Wilmesdorfer str are pretty "not boring" I would say :)
I agree about the bad pubs in London, especially near the touristy places. When I visit the city, I research the places I’m going to visit, but invariably forget to check for decent pubs and restaurants nearby. I’m originally from the south coast, so I don’t think I’m particularly biased, but I think the pubs up north are superior in every way. I’ll check out your recommendations though. Thank you. 😊
London Eye is pretty iconic, and I do recommend it for first-time visitors 🙌 Notting Hill and the Portobello Road Market could easily have made it into this video, but I didn't have any footage 🫣
Great guide. You should also add some guides for South of the river. Brixton and its markets, West of London like Richmond (Ted Lasso lives there) and places like Southall, where you feel like you’re in India, for example.
Hey Kris, another great vlog. Really cool ideas that are not taking us into the tourist haunts and crowds. Really appreciate your content as always. Cheers, Puck.
Wouldn't call it a scam because it's for free. It's more like a disappointment. But it still is where the city is famous for , so it is a must-see after all 😉
I love Edinburgh. I visited 3 times and stayed at the Code pod the court hostel behind St Giles cathedral in old town, a great hostel. Greetings from Montréal.
When you past Assistensens Cemetery in Nørrebro, it was perhaps a good idea to mention which famous people are buried there. I can mention: The well-known Danish rapper who died in a car accident, Natasja, writer and poet H.C.Andersen, physicist Niels Bohr and the poets Peter Faber, Michael Strunge and Dan Turéll are buried at Assistens Cemetery At Christianshavn, you can pre-book a historian who can walk around with you and tell the story of the old buildings, streets and churches - if you want a different angle on Christianshavn. But very good overview of "my" city ;)
Hi Chris I've been watching all your video's on Copenhagen and really injured them would love to see more and hopefully I will as have trip booked. Would love to know more about the best places to eat and drink. Cheers
I understand the sentiment and idea behind the video but, while I agree the Little Mermaid shouldn't be on your to do list in Copenhagen, the other places right near where the statue is - which you also mentioned - are worth seeing. If you are on a bike (or even if you are on foot) then ppl could go west afterwards to the lakes which is a must imo.
😅Great Video, Yes if only all Airport Transfers were like this. 🙂 Really Like your Edit and solid Presentation, I SUBSCRIBED. Happy Travels, Keep SMILING, and Have a Great Day. ☺
