Fate is funny. Heartwarming to see the love, concern and devotion that Fang Duobing has for Li Lianhua. Notice FDB refused to recognize LLH as his “shifu” (master) even after he found out Li Lianhua is Li Xiangyi but instead said LLH was his confidante and soulmate. FDB was always so protective of LLH and desperate to save his life. FDB also understood LLH’s dreams and goals when he was Li Xiangyi. That scene where FDB finds out for sure that LLH is Li Xiangyi and breaks the jade flute. You see how devastated LLH was; he picked up the broken jade flute (which I think he may have gifted FDB).
The most sweetest soul in 9-1-1 Lonestar yet he is who has the darkest past. The writing of each character in this show fantastic. Wishing for Season 5 to come soon. ❤️❤️❤️

It’s tragic though that after being poisoned Li Xiangyi wondered alone and lonely for 9 out of the 10 remaining years. He finally let Fang Duobing into his life. It was fate that Fang Duobing stumbled across his idol who inspired him and allowed him to overcome his childhood illness. It’s no wonder he is so devoted to Li Lianhua/ Li Xiangyi. It’s a balm for the soul to see Li Lianhua loved and taken care of by so many at the end (Fang Duobing, Di Feisheng, Miss Su, etc.)
Love this video and the relationship between Fang Duobing and Li Lianhua. Li XiangYi was Fang Duobing's greatest hope, hero and 'first love' growing up, 10 years later, Li Lianhua is his soulmate and eternal love. Fang Duobing was just Li XiangYi's shixiong's 'nephew', but 10 years later, he became Li Lianhua's soulmate and hope for life again. I love the parallels in their relationship. Their relationship is deeper and much more complicated than expected. Although rivals, the mutual respect is there…and it develops into something so much more. On opposite sides, yet they signed a peace treaty. Both were betrayed which led to Li Xiangyi attacking Di Feisheng on his ship in the sea and both suffering near fatal wounds.
"Mysterious Lotus Casebook" makes the sexual orientation of the characters very explicit. Fan Duobing is heterosexual, Li Lianhua is bisexual, and Di Feisheng is gay. So much so that in China the "DiHua" couple is one of the favorite couples of the year. They made it very clear who the CP of the show is.
There's not a couple in this drama the story is not focused on romance so the audience can ship anyone they want together this is the fun 😂fanghua would make a great couple they're the ones who understands each other the best they're the best soulmates ever
