Byte-sized wisdom for startup operators, delivered via 5min podcasts, ~daily + Interviews with Operators at fast-growing startups | Head down, execute hard. Fire
Pushing all the companies away with the help of local goons and politicians and setting up own company in the state, that is not Startup.. that is Mafia. I have worked with Uber as driver. I have started my own startups .. 1 closed in 3 yrs rest 2 didn't make even up to the registration. It is hard.. and making yourself the only player in the market on the grounds of Mafiagiri is not entrepreneurship. Sorry, not impressed!
Actual Reason: As a Unicorn company it is very easy to boost their sub company, Because they don't want to prove themselves and they don't want to convince investor to invest into their company, Because they have money back with themselves. And moreover they have strong Network. And Short story : Everything was replicas from foreign countries
I need to watch it may be 2-3 more times to actually understand what he wanted to convey. In some instances the gravity of his points was too much for me to comprehend.
speaking of sustainable businesses- I hope you guys get Sridhar Vembu on the pod to talk about the startups he has invested in and how/what they're doing. I've heard him give us glimpse but I'd like to know more.
Hey, great suggestion - I've hosted him a couple of times before on another podcast, Bharatvaarta. Will definitely try to bring him on board again sometime. :)
@@ckcariappa yes I've watched many of his talks/pods but most of the time people only ask about his zoho story. I think there's more to learn from what type of companies he thinks we should create- from the companies he invests in. There's a lot of value in that. so a single episode only focussed on that would be great!
If you are a marketer how come you have so few subscribers? This is not snark. I'm genuinely asking. Why is it that your brand hasn't worked? Is it the content? how are you not reaching more people?
Thanks for the comment, man - perfectly valid question, no snark taken. :) There are many reasons for this, most of all that I haven't really taken my role as a content creator seriously - I have these conversations because I like them, don't optimise too much for what people like / don't like and so you'll notice that the nature of our content has remained pretty much the same. That aside, we are missing a few tricks on the production and distribution side of things, which we will hopefully fix in due time. In the meantime, it's up to folks like you to help us get there. And you can say I was among the first 10K subs of The Startup Operator. :) Thanks again, brother - keep supporting us!
😂 So much contraindications, first he says india is booming middle class is great, perfect time, then he says people don't want to buy 200ra coffee. No critical thinking at all 😂
Hey, thanks for your comment. I don't see the contradiction; there is a difference between price and value - it's the same reason why you are more likely to spend 20L for a BMW than 20L for an Alto! Aside, we don't pretend to be experts, I'm trying to learn just like you - so open to hearing other viewpoints. :)
Hey Shilpa, thanks for sharing your views. We have spoken about how there are roles for good talent in any market and that there are jobs outside of campuses. The talent viability is whole other matter - we will take that up in a subsequent roundup. :)
Really enjoyed this conversation with Varun on EV Tech! Bounce has been a pioneer in many ways, some fascinating insights on offer in this podcast - do check it out! 🙂
hi thanks for the mention. love the content you guys put out. one suggestion, can u pls also add a some visual like the brand logo when talking about the fundings.
Guys, can you please do a segment exploring a niche/trend in depth? Like ThinkSchool does. I really wanted good insights on the drone market in India(it seems like drones are the new VR,bound to die out) but couldn't find anything substantial :(
Thanks for the suggestion! We are considering deep dives into specific markets, will keep you updated. Meanwhile, do share our content with your friends. 🙂🙏
i'm also all for not forcing people to speak and behave the way, Big Tech thinks is appropriate, but Bhavesh's message would have been worded better, 'illness' seemed a little too troubling given the history of western medical science classifying homosexuality as an illness for a long time. It is more like a cultish behaviour than a illness.
Thank you, Vineet! Glad you like the content. We host interesting founders and operators in the ecosystem - pls suggest who we can bring on next. And do share and subscribe to support us! 🙂
Awesome, I am happy that Uber is leaving. All other CAB apps should be stopped and the govt should bring in strict rules for all rickshaws and cabs. Common people are suffering a lot.
