Hi, I’m Dave, a 32-year old hiking enthusiast, originally from Kent but now lucky enough to be living in Okehampton, on the doorstep of Dartmoor National Park.
If you like hiking, wild camping, budget gear reviews and Dartmoor then you’re in the right place! Join me on my solo hikes and wild camps on Dartmoor and beyond, and follow my progress as I try to visit every tor on Dartmoor! 🥾⛰️🧭⛺️
I’m a new viewer - amazing video! You captured the beauty so well and your excitement was infectious. I recently visited the lakes for the first time and have been missing it, and this took me right back. Looking forward to catching up on the rest of your channel!
@@MollyRuns aww thank you so much! The camera doesn’t do it justice, it was stunning! My usual location is Dartmoor, where the views are very different but no less beautiful! Thank you for watching 😊
Did catbells with my son last week , we didnt dare go up the others as we knew nothing about them , but after watching this , you have gave us the motivation to try looks amazing, well done good sir
@@markward6387 Hi Mark, I’m glad to hear it! The views are well worth the climb (especially Blea Crag, my favourite view on that walk), tough going but if you’ve done Catbells you can do those as well 🙌🏻 Let me know how you get on! Thanks for watching!
Well done Dave 3 toppers to do catbells is one i will always pop back to views are amazing for a smaller wainwright nice to see them again on a good day pleased you enjoyed them bud good stuff keep it up marra
I loved this, that route is on my list. You can drop down at High Spy and head into Borrowdale. Camp at Chapel farm and then head off into the Langstrath/Langdale valleys or up to say High Raise for a great circular and then get the bus back to Keswick. Thanks for a great vid, I'm off to watch some more now. Cheers
@@camping_guru_uk thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the video! It was a stunning route, can’t recommend it highly enough! Already looking forward to my next time in the Lakes, it was stunning! And one more video to come this week from this trip 🙌🏻 Thabks for watching!
Ey Dave you did hike again?! ;) No jokes aside man, great filming and editing! These shots are really beautiful! And congrats on your first summiting (or reaching the summit Idk) Beautiful mate
@@dragonmediaxl thank you! This backpack is very comfortable, it’s the Lowe Alpine Airzone Trail ND. Only a 24l backpack but feels like it can hold a good amount and it feels as though it sits nicely on my back. Plus the waist strap takes some of the weight off of my shoulders and disperses it to my hips which helps make it more comfortable
Call that a hike. I get more of a hike coming home from work. Or just going to the shops here in Scotland. A hike should have a hill or two in it. That flat piece of land is just a walk..😏🤷🏻♂️🏴
@@WildCaptures hi friend! They should be under the same name, they’re from a European company called Decathlon, Quechua is their in-house hiking and climbing brand, I’ve never seen them on Amazon over here either so they might not be available I’ve found them on the Decathlon US website for you but it looks like they’re sold out at the minute! www.decathlon.com/products/quechua-mens-nh100-hiking-boots-107929?adept-product=quechua-mens-nh100-hiking-boots-107929&adept_product_id=quechua-mens-nh100-hiking-boots-107929&source=search For $18 I’m not surprised they sold out! That’s about £12!
@@WildCaptures you’re very welcome! Thanks for watching my video, it’s cool to think that this little channel is being watched by someone on the other side of the pond! 😂 I can confirm that they’re very comfortable, I expect they’ll be great for work and wearing them all day
