Hiking in Dartmoor National Park - Cosdon Beacon & Hound Tor 

Hi RU-vid!
In this video, I park in the picturesque little village of South Zeal, just off of the northern edge of the moor, and hike up to the summit of Cosdon Beacon. It’s a testing and gruelling climb, but well worth it for the views!
Desolate moorland on one side and the emerald patchwork of fields of the north of Devon to the other.
Cosdon Beacon is our high point of the day, but afterwards we head south to Little Hound Tor and Hound Tor, adding two more tors to the list of Dartmoor tors that we’ve completed on the channel!
This isn’t a great walk for beginners, as you need a good amount of fitness for the initial climb, but the rewards are fantastic views of the north moor!
We then visit Whitmoor Stone Circle where we meet a local horse riding club and then we also spot a slug which may, or may not, be a Black Slug… the largest species of slug in the world!
