200 meters for Seiko is with an ISO certificate and it's a true diver watch. But Tissot has no ISO certificate, so you can't be sure about 300 meters and they can't be counted as real diver watches.
Memovox for me. Design-wise I think the date-only version is a bit cleaner, but I love the heritage of the alarm function and that carries more weight for me.
I like tissot for having a ceramic bezel but I hated it for the 21mm lug width meanwhile the Seiko SPB , has a much thinner profile on the wrist but a non ceramic bezel display but a versatile 20mm lug width between the 2, ill go for seiko
It has to be the Memovox for me - even thought the simpler 2 crown version is more pure to look at, the function of the alarm is, as you say, not only useful but a special connection with the history of watch development.
The truth about it is that it doesn’t have screw down crowns so you can’t really use it in water without a big risk a destroying which completely defeats the point of it being diver
Comrade, I like your accent, and I prefer the Seiko even tho the Tissot has a ceramic bezel but my heart goes to the seiko bcos it looked like a submariner just like youve said
Like it! Don’t like how Rolex sells a lot to people who’s only intentions are to flip the watch and ignore those who just want one to wear and appreciate. That I don’t like.
I haven't dived for quite a few years but I can say I'd much rather use the Seiko. The Tissot is really a dress watch that you can get wet. The bezel just isn't practical. Saying that I don't think there's too many divers that don't use a computer so it's a all a bit pointless.
The tisso is a vastly superior timepiece. I was trying to decide between the Tissot and a Mido sea star. Tissot not only has a hundred more meters of water resistance, but it is way more refined. I ended up getting the Mido specifically because I love the packaging. I don't regret my decision but at the same time wish I had purchased the Tissot. Anything made by the Swatch Group is an incredible value. Seiko watches always leave a bad taste in my mouth. Their dive watches are one step above a toy watch and quite disappointing. The best budget Japanese dive watch would have to be the Orient komatsu.
your points were valid but you forgot the fact that tissot (in this video) is not DIVERS rated , Seiko punches above its weight class bcos of that Divers ISO rating the same goes to watches like tudor or rolex that are way more expensive Tissot is a good timepiece together with the ceramic bezel which helps it to look like brand new always but the 21mm lugs is a deal breaker for me, Seiko for me on this one. but hey, most people dont take their divers watch for diving and mainly use it to complement their clothes so tissot isnt that of a bad option after all
Tissot is without an ISO certificate for diving, so 300 meters is just marketing. On Seiko, 200 meters are real, approved by the diving ISO certificate. Also, Seiko has more refined movement and it's much easier to maintain. No need to look for a Swatch Group-certified watch master to repair or maintenance your watches.
@Aleksey Yulchuraev To answer you're dumb assed question, those of us that don't have our smart phones pasted to our hands or stuffed in our pocket all the time, or don't wear watches as jewelry, actually use our watches to tell time, They're all really great looking watches in my opinion but my personal preference is the no date black dial.
I have the “Polar” Explorer II 226570 50th anniversary model. I put my name down at my local AD at the end of April 2021 and took delivery July 2021. Such an amazing watch. I feel this is so underrated for what it is especially since it shares the same movement as the Pepsi GMT. Glad it’s not as hyped as this is such an amazing watch and pops in white. Best Rolex you can get in my personal opinion.
Hi, just curious on the bracelet, is it comfortable? Does the extension help or is it too big when your write swells? Thanks for the feedback as I'm considering this watch.
@@marketingsuccess2637I’m trying to get this reference as well. I have the yacht master with the same oyster bracelet and it’s great. The half link does help when your wrist swells or gets sweaty. Hope this helps
Around here one AD told me at least 2 years but they stated that I was really not their priority, then changed to another that stated 6 months and I believe them.
Very informative. I have just purchased the Polaris Mariner date only. I am a long time rolex, AP and Cartier collector so this is new for me…. I must say it’s a beautiful piece. I am really getting into This brand. Some amazing pieces. Do you know if I could get a Memovox at a discount even though it is a limited edition?
you are lucky if you can get memovox version that is only available in JLC boutique only, so you will not likely get a discount. Memovox version is the one to get provided you have the budget. The date version is still beautiful watch, but it will be too normal with other pretty dial watches on the market.
I picked up mine this week from the Omega Boutique Store in Sydney and absolutely love it. Even on my small 6.5 inch wrist it fits very well. I can’t stop looking at its beautiful and detailed busy face.
