This is the city where we all live. We can’t experience it physically so we use the game to immerse ourselves in. I’ve replayed the game 6 times and still keep going back for more.
I simply can‘t describe how great of a video you created. It baffles me that you „only“ have a few thousand subscribers.. Thank you for your time and passion to create videos like these! This is exactly what RU-vid was made for! And to grab the core aspect of the Video; yes - CDPR made a very magical game that is unique in a lot of ways! An experience Par excellence. -XY
Thank god I'm not alone with the obsession for cyberpunk. Whenever I even think about the world of cyberpunk I usually end up being kinda depressed because of the lack of good endings in this city. But I absolutely still love it
You called this game "an immersive sim", and I have no idea what you're talking about. Immersive sims are games that let you realize a specific fantasy and get immersed in their world by giving you a lot of options to engage with it. When I think of "immersive sim", I think of Red Dead Redemption 2. That game really focuses on realism and goes out of its way to let you FEEL like you're role playing as an outlaw in the Wild West. What makes RDR2 an immersive sim is the sheer amount of details and things to do. Even the most mundane tasks like eating, drinking or hunting animals feel like immersive tasks. You stalk a perfect 3-star animal, land a headshot, and then you have to put it on a horse and physically deliver it to a butcher. You know... like you would in real life! That's the point of immersive sims. SW Outlaws is neither particularly immersive, nor is it a sim. All it has is some nice-looking environments. In every other aspect it's outdated and restrictive. You can't hunt, you can't interact with NPCs, you can't rob anyone at gunpoint, you can't steal vehicles, you can't cause shootout in cities, there are no dynamic and believable encounters like in RDR2, you can't take any found weapons with you, you can't carry bodies, you can't manipulate the environment in any meaningful way, there's no notoriety system... Even the Syndicate system is shallow and unrealistic. So how on Earth can you call it an immersive sim?
Sounds crazy but i took a large amount of lsd to the point that'll fry your brain, which i do not recommend! ANY WAYS ! I had a whole life experience in the future and honestly felt like home, and did alot of dumb shit just to stay alive. But once i heard they were making a game called cyberpunk i was Immediately hooked and till this day i just walk around night city admiring the night and beautiful lights if only we can have it in vr, that'll be the cherry on top ! Im sure most of us feel like we were born in the wrong generation.
As a diagnosed system we can say that speed switching is a thing.. when a system is under too much pressure, or system wide exposure after a split. collectively learning how to coexist and trust one another is a mind fuck.
I find you to be Untrustworthy and deceptive, and I do not like you. I do not know why.... But I surely feel my detection of something I dislike, highly.
I remembered my lesson real quick to never pre-order games especially higher editions ever since Anthem came around. Haven't bought a full priced game since, always did sales or be your pirate in the sea
When you read between the lines, their meanings behind the excripts from the book of enoch, revelations and scriptures on babylon, you come to understand. then youll be seeing this game from a whole new perspective and the world itself. Esspecially when the technology, when boiled down into reality exists already. What is being said without being outright shouted, yet still it speaks volumes, and what it points to is truly the most neuanced and important point of the whole game.
I was going through a similar phase but after the phantom liberty, man, it has jusst impacted me emotionally. I want to know more about both of story, about main and expansion.
Dude, what is exceptional for C2077 in Cyberpunk genre is that it gives you be a part of it. Whole idea is a meta experience. Can't you see? Night City is the city of dreams and every player make this dream come true, no matter what. Cyberpunk 2077 is a braindance.
There's a serious problem with Ubisoft, if you go to their website and look at how they present themselves, they present themselves as a professional company that makes AAA games and says: “The studio's goal has always been, and still is, to create the best gaming experiences for all players.” So they think that what they do is very good and excellent, and they have no doubt about that! Tens of thousands of critics and gamers have been talking about this “best gaming experience” for years, saying that your games are too repetitive and soulless. When the setting and the characters and the story are different, you're not really offering a different and better experience. Not only are you using the same styles and templates that have been used over and over again in past games, but you're also repeating things like going through a ventilation duct, finding a key, opening a door, etc. hundreds of times in a single game. It's impossible to understand how their brains can't perceive that this is a serious boredom and monotony and how they do it with passion. For example, I send you somewhere and ask you to do something in several places, but it's always the same and similar. Doesn't that get boring and depressing? Especially when you do it hundreds of times in the same way. No matter how many times you change the setting and the dialogues, it doesn't work and it can't work, brother. So, if changing the characters, the setting and the story solves the problem and makes for a good experience, why don't I watch it as a movie, but I have to travel thousands of miles and do the same tasks, which are a lot of raw, laborious and boring! Now someone might say and object, what can they do, there are certain concepts that are used in games, is it easy to invent new things all the time! Should we bring original stuff from the moon, everyone uses these mechanics, we use them too! If you're going to make me open a locked door 50-100 times in the same game, I don't think that's the way it should be. Original and passionate works and “the best gaming experience” don't work like that. It's just an average and ordinary and soulless experience. The main problem is that they don't produce original productions and although many people have expressed this, they declare and claim that they make AAA, even AAAA (!!!) games, even shamelessly, arrogantly, braggingly and defiantly. (They said this for Skull And Bones) I mean, okay, you can only do so much, nobody says anything about it, it's said that this is its capacity and it's passed, but you can make a game that is full of bugs from top to bottom, even worse than a game 7 years ago (Battelefront 2), with bad facial character modeling, gameplay full of bugs and repetition and monotonous, If you market a game with a meaningless and superficial story everywhere as a AAA production and promise to offer a great and completely different experience, and if you demand 70, 110 and 130 dollars (standard, gold, ultimate price) in US prices from this average quality production, of course you will be stoned like this. You'll be held to account for what you're asking for, and how you're getting your money's worth. This is quite natural. In my eyes, this is nothing but qualified fraud. As many people have identified and stated, Ubisoft doesn't really produce AAA games with passion and for the best gaming experience as they supposedly claim. On the contrary, it is a company that has proven countless times that they don't care about this point at all, as evidenced by the unqualified and mediocre, average quality products they put out. The only thing they care about is whether it sells when we put out a product like this, then forget the rest! That's how they are. You make a tight promotion campaign, make a deal with Nvidia, and they will market your “hit” game on their homepage, and even give your games away with high-end graphics cards as if it is a very high quality and elite game. Well, an elite card deserves an elite game gift, right! Serve it with an appealing visual and pour tons of repetitive content into it so that it looks rich and has a long gameplay time! But there's a saying: “All glitz on the outside, all filth on the inside” or ‘All hype on the outside, all empty on the inside’. This is exactly like that. It's a complete eye-candy... Battlefront 2's great face modeling 7 years ago... Those who say that the graphics of Star Wars Outlaws are very high quality (!) should take this point into consideration and reconsider their opinion. For those who say they enjoyed Star Wars Outlaws, please play the story mode of Battlefront 2 7 years ago with the Turkish patch, I started playing it again and I enjoy it much more than Outlaws. It helps a lot to see the difference. God damn you Ubisoft, I wish you'll go to the bottom of the earth, I wish you'll disappear, the market will be relieved, the space will be opened for those who will do original and quality work! Amen!
I played this quest in 2018 right around the time Fortuna came out, and those 2 things together made me realize I would be playing this game for years to come. Now 6 years later I'm looking at getting my 1000 day login reward later this week. It's been a hell of a trip and it's been amazing to see the quality of everything that has come out since then (both quests, story as well as technical engine improvements). I can't recommend this game highly enough, it puts all those triple A live service games of the big publishers to shame.
Considering buying this after watching your review with your feedback that it does a good job in helping scratch that Star Wars itch even as a 7.5/10 experience. Love that the minimal upgrade tree appears based on functionality instead of the normal Ubisoft 100+ skills upgrades.
Not religious but I really enjoyed your video and your take on this universe. It's awesome that this beautiful game can bring all types of people and backgrounds together. Enjoy mate
I agree with this. The slow pacing and emptiness in Breath of the wild were at the core of what made the game amazing and stand out so much against contemporary games, that all tried to borrow from movies by introducing action scenes, quick time events and so on. Breath of the wild dared to be a pure game in that regard. The much higher content density in TotK reduced that slow paced feeling a lot. Though I guess it is a very different situation, since the game is a return to the same game world and players would expect new and more content. After all only few people would buy the "same" thing twice and many would get bored much quicker if the World of TotK had been similarly slow paced as BotW was.
I cannot agree with you more with every detail you pointed out in this video. The environment, characters, story, and just about everything in this game keeps me wanting to come back to it every time. The expansion even just made my obsession with the game even worse with me spending hours upon hours trying to 100% the expansion completing every side quests and gigs, and getting all the iconics and vehicles. I will admit that the game had a very, VERY bad launch day, but just like you I powered through those annoying bugs because I genuinely fell in love with the game and everything it had to offer. Even though I chose to side with Reed in the ending of the expansion, I like to think that the cannon ending is the one where you help songbird go to the moon and ultimately start back to zero to getting the "Don't fear the reaper" ending which can setup Cyberpunk Orion's story perfectly imo. Overall this is a great detailed video and I'm really glad that there's a lot of people like me who share the same obsession I have with this masterpiece
There are a few games i would play if i had a proper pc that can run the game 's i want to maxed out with ray tracing all in 4k and this is one of them and avatar and a few new ones coming out in 2025 that will be then hard to move on to another new game i think Avatar would hook me more to stay because of the visuals level but not to sure if the gameplay is enough to keep me as i am more of a classic doom gamer serious sam style games however the new ones just didn't do it for me the game play and style was all wrong for me
One thing to take away from all this is that you can experience a game for the first time only once. When you rush, you miss out. This is also true for the real world.
So far Im enjoying the game. However that doesnt mean its good. Prob 6.5/10 at best. Definitely needs more development time. However if you are a Star Wars youll like the environments and styling.
Never have I experienced something like cyberpunk. Anytime I went to play it I would shut off my phone and turn off the lights. The immersion was intoxicating. 100 hours in one playthrough. This experience will stay with me for my entire life I swear to god
The reason it got so much backlash on release is they gave up on the Mass Effect series. Which is a part of their main player base. Kudos on trying something new but it impacted Andromeda. Which impacted the player base of that franchise. Kotor, Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age, Mass Effect. (Bioware) These are what they're known for. Anthem spit in the face of the Mass Effect series. Baldur's Gate 3 saved face and what a great success and return to their roots. Now a possible Mass Effect (4?) in the works super excited 😊
