Timothy Dalton is what I always saw James Bond to be, the best by far, I was born in 73 and grew up watching Roger Moore, I think I saw Connery first as a kid though on tv, it seemed like James Bond used to be on telly every week when I was young? and always at Xmas. I remember loving the Spy who loved me and I remember not being fond of Connery because of my dad who favoured Roger Moore? Timothy Dalton is and always will be Bond for e closely followed by Craig, gutted the financial wrangles and the legal stuff robbed us of more of Daltons films, he was great.
I changed "If there was a man I could ever love, I'd wait a thousand years for someone just like that" into a girl, to express my love to my former girlfriend(s). Its an endlessly romantic phrase.
When John Barry retired from the series, he took out a full page ad in one of the trades and used it to publicly wish Broccoli and EON a happy 25th anniversary. He also gave them this absolute gift of a score that has not been outdone before or since.

Due to You Tube we can listen again , I remember seeing this at the Manchester Odeon in the summer of 1987 and a month later seeing at a Canon cinerma in n~~~Amsterdam seeing it in dutch subtitles with in English consider the fact that 9 of 10 hollanders speak English its no problem for them
