Military Aircraft and Air Show Video's Lots Of New Videos Planned For 2021 Live From Coningsby In April, Low Flying videos Also In April.
I remember everybody in work walked outside and watched this putting calls on hold etc! A few hundred of us watched from the car park near to the end of the runway. Feels like a lifetime ago now.
I just finished reading Skunk Works by Ben Rich, the story and legacy of this phenomenal aircraft is just unbelievable. Highly recommend the book, BTW, if you're a fan of engineering and military history!
I might or might not be able to watch the stream, it depends on when I get back home. But if I get back home before the live joins, I definitely will say hi.
I remember, back in the early eighties, at work on the roof of a house in open countryside one afternoon when a colleague noticed a smudge of black, low on the horizon and pointed it out. Upon looking I said, " get ready to cover your ears" seconds later two Tonkas came roaring over us at about a hundred feet, you felt the heat and jet wash as they passed overhead. We just had time to turn and watch as the did a sweeping right turn down the valley and away. You could still hear the sound of their engines for about a minute as I assumed they were climbing to a higher altitude. What a thrill.
Afternoon mate, I would like to ask if you can do a live stream for the victory show on the Saturday and Sunday of the battle and the flying program please. Many thanks Liam.
In an interview the pilot said he was surprised the control surfaces responded to his inputs. That says to me the thing wasn't airworthy. With plenty of runway chopping the throttles was the only call.
Wow. I was here as a 14 year old and that b2 and b1b left a lasting impression. In engineering now and looking to take my 2 lads to their first airshow soon. Might show them this vid:)
