I was confused by the element oils because I thought what’s the point lol. Think I’m starting to understand the purpose. Blending to add more of that pure scent someone might be looking for. Great to see your beautiful face lady!
13:02 oh! I had CS cinnamon stick nearby. The single note is very fireball whiskey while stick is slightly muted, not as in your face. Stick could be better for those with allergies/headaches perhaps.
There are quite a few single notes that I feel are missing. Red berries for sure - an orange, almond, sage, musk, cherry blossom, black or pink pepper, violet, mint….
I use them to bump up my existing fragrance oils , like some pines I find need a boost so I use the pine blending element, same with the cinnamon, I had to use it to get a good cinnamon apple , the scents change once blended with an existing fragrance oil and brings it up a notch .
I believe the blending elements where meant to Amp-up already existing oils. For example if you want to increase Bergamot note on matcha and bergamot. It wasn't meant as a starter kit to become a perfumer. That's why they are called blending elements.
Thanks! Yeah they’re being marketed as an enhancer and also to make your own blends using just the elements. You absolutely can do both. People in the groups have been talking about these in relation to perfume as well so I touched on all points.
Thank you that’s my biggest problem the right wick for jar gets frustrating and expensive when you switch jars. But this is what I want to do so testing it is.
It’s so funny , when you said that the cd14 candle it’s not center I was just thinking about that. Yay the cd 12 won. I love cd wicks I used 464 soy wax and I always use cd wicks. Thanks for sharing, great video.
We're so happy you enjoyed your visit! It's so much fun to blend your own fragrances, and smelling them in person first makes all the difference. Please come back again soon!
What a gorgeous store! Super inviting, looks so fun…I agree it is treat for us to be able to go in person. My home store is CS, it’s a 2.5 hour drive for me. But, it is worth it.
@@couturehomeandbody thanks for taking us along! My hubby drove me 5 hours to Aztec last year. He got so bored that he went to the gas station next door and started playing lottery tickets. 🤣 Well until I need him to come help me load up the truck!!
Love Ohio but they’re always sold out so I switched to Dulceria it’s pricier but it has a higher fragrance load 15% I believe. I personally feel like it gets stronger the more I let it sit.
Thank you for sharing, Lisa! Do you need to use that high of a load in the Dulceria base? What is your sweet spot? Their base is already pricey then you add a higher FO load and that will tank your COGS. My top choices didn’t need anything higher than 5% because they were plenty strong! IMO it’s a strange marketing angle that the base can hold 15%. Who would use that much? 😂
I love Lonestar Candle Supply. They’re about an hour and a half north of me, however, I haven’t visited the show room since they remodeled. Looks beautiful and looks like you had fun.
I ordered this based on your review and Eric was helpful with ordering but the unit came DAMAGED and he hasn’t responded to any of my emails since it arrived and there is no phone number. Can you please share a phone number since you’re recommending them based on their service?? I’m so upset I’m weeks behind on orders now waiting for a resolution!!
Oh no, I’m sorry to hear this! I don’t have a phone number. I have only communicated with Eric through email. When did you receive the melter? Here is the email I have: eric@diygateway.com Good luck!
@@couturehomeandbodythank you so much for the reply. I received it Monday and emailed Monday. It seems as though he is a one man shop? I’m not sure but I am likely going to have to get a digiboil because it’s been over 2 weeks since I placed the order and I can’t imagine not being able to get to work for another two. 😢
@@loganann25yes I believe he is a small operation. So is the melter damaged and won’t work/turn on? I don’t recommend getting another digi. Your best bet is to get a Toauto from Amazon. They’re awesome! The pour spout comes from the bottom so no clogged spout ever. I have one for my beeswax. Don’t forget to clip the $20 off coupon! You order today you can have it by tonight or tomorrow morning. amzn.to/3ZwAtUK
@loganann25 Logan, I want to apologize again about this. As stated, we are sending a replacement lid because it was dented during shipping. We did not see your email because we didn't realized the emails were not coming in due to the computer needing to be rebooted and apologize for that. In the meantime, the lid is aluminum so it can be bent back by pressing it against the table until the new replacement comes in. Please give me at least a few business days to respond, as I am quite busy managing all operations. Thank you Eric
I REALLY appreciated your video! You have answered a lot of my questions and the details were everything!! Love your content. 😊 I recently purchased from H&H and love their products.
Thank you, Mariah! I haven’t purchased from them before. Candle Science’s Leather and Labdanum smells like a smokier, leathery-ier version of DRL. It’s incredible! Check that one out if you’re a fan of the fragrance!
Very useful! I appreciate the review as I'm in Canada and it quickly becomes costly to order from different US suppliers to do testing. How many sprays on average would you say you're doing when testing a room spray in your bedroom (total between curtains and bed skirt). Thanks!
Thank you! ☺️ I spray each curtain and bed panel once for a total of 7 sprays. 4 curtain panels and 3 bed panels. The bed isn’t a skirt it’s a fabric frame with drawers so I think the thicker material really hold the fragrance well! Establish a baseline spray test that you can hold all of them to. It’s been key for me to figure out which scents to launch with. Hope that helps!
@@couturehomeandbody Got it! I don't spray as much in one go because it gets overwhelming (at 5%). I also spray in the air, which after watching your video makes me realize is silly. 🤡 No wonder I find the scent doesn't stay. I'll try spraying and dashing. 😅 And come back later to see how it is once it settled. Thanks again!
