I've been a fan of the Resident Evil series since the first game. I remember buying this game when it first game out, never finished it and considered it so bad i doin't consider it resident evil. I tried replaying it this year, the fact that the whole first story you have to wait behind slow ass characters with invisible walls and un playable mechanics and thats the good campaign of the game
Jesus Christ some of these arguments are idiotic. Yes SAO is shit, but half of your arguments about the game are so stupid. Half of the problems you have with it are just due to SAO being a death game.
Biohazard was a shit game that hardly anyone finished. Village was sub-par, but basically a return to form compared to that steaming pile of excriment.
@@Sig445 Amnesia: The Bunker and Alen: Isolation are 2 of my favorite games I've played recently. No, it's not out of fear. And did you ever play the original release of RE4 or Code Veronica? Those are the pinnacle of the series, my friend. The RE2 Remake was also much better.

@@igotzelda If you weren't dumb and made it further you'd see that even the CEO of Capcom was concerned about the future of the franchise which is why he removed the team working on a pure sequel to RE6 from the game.
I have the original CD for Unreal. Surprisingly I installed it on my win 10 machine with a GTX1080TI and it was playable! The resolution sucked I think 1024*1024 but it still played. Kinda crazy.
code Veronica all the way to RE6 were utter trash. The focus on a more action genre was a massive step backwards. I grew up playing RE1 on the PlayStation from launch.
Yes, you're right. I've been playing CRPG's since the original Baldur's Gate, and BG3 has exceeeded all expectations and raised the bar. It's hard to go back to the sort of games we used to find acceptable - the writing, the story, has to be *really* good. 😉
Excellent review, you did a great job describing some feelings here which are hard to convey! The game was out for a couple of years and just upgraded to patch 1.63 when I played it for the first time. After my first hour of a Streetkid intro I became absolutely hooked. I finished that playthru by going with Rogue and giving V's body to Johnny...at 320 hours. I did every playable piece of content in the world. I never tired of looking for the literal hundreds of hidden gems and world building secrets. Now a couple years later I have over 1600 hours and a ton of runs through the game. Never played on a PC (all other runs have been on PS5) but just invested in a rig with a 4090 so I can run a down-patched version of the game to try and experience how I felt all that time ago when I did my first run...and it's been worth every penny. I cant think of anything else I've ever played where I would invest in a PS5, high-end PC and multiple copies of 1 game. Since late 2022 I've scarcely played anything else. Im always glad to see how many others feel similar. The next installment cannot come soon enough!
The reason why Silent Hill 2 it became a classic is because eventually people began to see how unique, eerie, melancholic and authentic the game's atmosphere it really is, and took the time to enjoy its deeply thoughtful narrative and symbolism. To this day it’s by far one of, if not the most mature examination of grief, sexual trauma, suicide, and morality all combined. It’s an intelligent game that does not hold anyone’s hand and comes at the player with utmost confidence in itself. It’s fantastic stuff. The rest of the original 4 are great in their own right and have their own well written stories, but they don’t hold the same emotional weight to them. I think SH2’s maturity by comparison is something that a lot of people are drawn to. ☯️
RE7 Is one of my favorite games ever. Its the only game I'm currently trying to 100%. And the DLC is so good I play Night terror mode sometimes just for fun even though I've beaten it before a lot.
