I'm obviously a little late to your journey, but I'm tearing up for you. God is so faithful! I hope residency is everything you dreamed it would be! Your perseverance and resilience is inspiring!
I stumbled upon your channel when starting my Step 1 preparation. All your videos and tips have helped me a lot. Seeing you progress through the journey to residency, this makes me happy! all the very best :)
Wow!! Dr. Fischer you are an inspiration! You are my favourite USMLE Teacher!! I hope to one day be like you...an amazing human and Doctor!! Thanks for this incredible Live Q&A @Sarang Choi.
Love your video I'm currently a clinical student in indonesia. I just wanna know, is worth it study in America? Is it worth it to become a doctor in there? I will be extremely happy if you could help me to answer. Because i'm depressed to see my country treating doctors here. i want to move there if its worth the penny Thank you very much
Based on my one month of residency experience, and knowing how residency life is back in the Philippines, I am extremely happy with life here and the schedule as well :) hope this response is helpful for you
@@SarangChoiMD Wow you've just actually replied me! Thank you very much Doc! That means a lot to me, I don't know if it's overreaction but i think your reply will change my life. Now I know what I will pursue right know
Research is good to have but it’s not a requirement. It also depends on which specialty you are applying to. Some specialties prefer you to have research
Congrats!! I'm so happy for you...I have been following your journey since 2023 when I was preparing for my USMLE exams. You have been an inspiration. I too matched this year.
Not sure if you can access the number elsewhere
Congratulations on matching 2024 Residency and I am impressed with journey you’ve gone through along with your tremendous resiliency and perseverance! Good luck starting your Residency in July 2024 and all the best to you!
Please allow the comment below which should help those who didn't match. My post below reflects my own personal opinions and not taht of any organization. Come to Maine as a Medical Assistant for a Year! For those who didn't match in ERAS, who have the right to work in the US, you may apply for a paid job as a primary care medical assistant. See link below: careers.covenanthealth.net/job/20186991/medical-assistant-auburn-me/ I wouldn't worry about the medical assistant certification as you have a medical degree. If you do well, you can ask for a recommendation letter from the attending for next year's ERAS application.
Hello, do you know how much time do they take to verify or send you a notification that they received the documents? I uploaded them 10 days ago but i dont know anything else, no info no notification, dont even know if i uploaded them right
Congratulations! Watched your video last year when you did not match, and was heartbroken for you. You will be a great resident and attending, and I hope you carry all you have learned into caring for your future patients. US grad/ ED physician here, and you taught me a lot about how difficult it is to match as an IMG. Thanks for sharing your journey!
