Thanks for the video. My smaller side is working fine, the larger side thinks it's 138 degrees F and it just freezes everything, pretty sure I need to replace thermistor but I only need one not both. Do you know which thermistor is the larger side of the fridge, the short thermistor or the long one?
Very Capable, especially now I have 35” tyres it will crawl through almost anything. The 200 being newer was definitely more a solid vehicle especially on corrugations. Tbh I think the 105 would do almost everything I want except carry the weight. IFS front on the 200 Is much nicer on highway also for those long trips.
Thanks for this video mate. I turned on my second compartment just before a trip and found that it had the exact same issue - wouldnt read below 14deg. I was able to go to a local dometic repair shop - and get the parts and paste free of charge under warranty to fix it myself before heading out - as booking it in could have taken ages! Simple repair had it sorted in under half an hour thanks to your info - cheers
Hey legend Just found this channel , what’s the economy with 35s you reckon ? Keep up the good work legend , putting out some great , relatable vids 🤙🏼
Cheers mate. Pretty bad with the 35’s maybe around 20-25L hard to say I haven’t done too many trips with 35s loaded up. Was doing around 20L with standard 31s fully loaded with tinny on roof
@@MatTwentyEight it’s not too bad really bud , considering I guess the gusty petrol turning the 35s, atleast you don’t have to constantly watch EGTs an temps . Can’t go wrong I don’t think , cape looked awesome too champ , kids were frothing on the catch 👍🏼
Nice video mate ! Is that Minn Kota the Riptide model. I am looking to buy the Riptide at Barrajacks $2800. Also your reel is it a Stradic Vanford 3000 or is it 4000?
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road? We're the pro auto lighting company for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
Yes Craig, I’ve sold it since but will Be buying another. I wouldn’t say I’ve used it as much as some but for the trips I did I was happy with its draw and ability to keep consistent with freeze and cool
Hey James, it’s a 10mm ally plate. The place I purchased motor in Cairns (Pete from spear and tackle) has them cut up to suit quick release puk. The plate is 320Lx175W 👍🏻
Just got a 105 petrol 4.5 too. It’s the best engine for a 105. The hz is a snail, they salty about our power and torque😮 . We can afford the fuel haha Look forward to see what you do with it.
Yeah mate they are little rockets. Currently chasing a front bar. Unsure what to do. Might customise something. Hesitant to build from scratch due to airbag. 🤔
Hey John, www.everythingcaravans.com.au/products/thermistor-for-waeco-portable-fridge-cfx-range-thermister The 75DZ has 2 thermistors obviously because of dual zone. Make sure you replace the correct one or both, one is shorter and one longer, they have different coloured plug connectors. Hope that helps, cheers
Cheers mate. Yep knocked up out of ply. Few Bunnings slide tubs for storage. Worked well. I’d probably put a slide out fridge in top if I did again. Dometic fridge a little restricted with door opening 😂
Stephen, I’m bloody loving it more and more as I’m using it. Surprised at the power and now turning 35s. Yep thirsty but for how it goes, almost worth it! 💪🏻
Does the quick release bracket come with the motor, or did you buy it separately? Great video, thanks for reviewing it for us as there are few others that have reviewed this particular model
I thought you must of stopped filming! Look forward to your cape trip. How's the big boat going? Any trips to the reef...weathers coming good again at the moment.
Hey legend, has been a very hectic year 😂 have plenty of footage but just haven’t found the solid hours to edit. Over the next couple months though I have the family cape trip and new touring rig build….So pumped. Yeah been trying to get out on the water. Might film an over nighter reef trip very soon, loving this weather 👍🏻 Cheers for watching mate!
Put an FTE in it. :) Just did that to our 105. FTE with the 5 speed gated automatic transmission. ;) If you still want it all mechanical, go for an FT instead!
@@MatTwentyEight So it was originally an hzj105 2007 model then a few years back, the previous owner swapped it for a very fresh 60t kms 1HD FT manual. Drove it till 110k. Last year we were able to purchase a crashed 100 fte with the 5 speed matic with about 120t kms on the clock. I now swapped the FT for the FTE. Engine and tranny along with the computers and other bits like dual AC. HAHA!
@@miggymiranda4220yeah nice work. I’ll keep an eye out and look at engine ideas but for right now, few mods to get it going well offroad. Maybe some lockers 🤔😎
@@MatTwentyEight agreed on this. Just spend it on improvements on what you currently have. Lockers would be great! The only reason why we did the swap is because it was a good deal for us. If it wasn't then we would have left it as is. :)
Great video! Thinking of getting a Minn Kota Powerdrive for my Stratos 170FS.... Recently started fishing the Little River Inlet in northeast South Carolina. Thinking this gadget would be a game changer.
Sorry mate, no part number. I was just given the thermistors themselves. If your in Australia, call portable fridge solutions they have let numbers for them. 07 4032 2060
Cool Vid guys and I'm thinking of taking my Whittley sea legend like yours up to the Airlie but not sure if you can park there? can you take a dog etc.
Cheers mate. If you mean vehicle parking, you can leave vehicle at public ramp free near port drive (cruise Whitsundays) or in car park at marina. Also Abel point boat ramp has parking but it is paid after a few days I believe. I would just use public ramp off port drive. As far as boat mooring if there are blue mooring markers you can sit on those around the islands. Or anchor at Whitsundays pull up on beach etc. You can also stay at Hamilton for the night in marina just email Them to book. It may be around $180-200 per night I believe. Definitely a must do mate, any more info you need hit me up on Instagram 👍🏻
