I have sold the chopped 200 series cruiser and brought a 105 series Landcruiser. Why you ask? Well I'm working on building a new touring RIG... in the mean time this is my new 4wd and I have 4 weeks to get it ready for Cape York.

Just got a 105 petrol 4.5 too. It’s the best engine for a 105. The hz is a snail, they salty about our power and torque😮 . We can afford the fuel haha Look forward to see what you do with it.

Yeah mate they are little rockets. Currently chasing a front bar. Unsure what to do. Might customise something. Hesitant to build from scratch due to airbag. 🤔

Hey legend, has been a very hectic year 😂 have plenty of footage but just haven’t found the solid hours to edit. Over the next couple months though I have the family cape trip and new touring rig build….So pumped. Yeah been trying to get out on the water. Might film an over nighter reef trip very soon, loving this weather 👍🏻 Cheers for watching mate!

Cheers mate. Pretty bad with the 35’s maybe around 20-25L hard to say I haven’t done too many trips with 35s loaded up. Was doing around 20L with standard 31s fully loaded with tinny on roof

@@MatTwentyEight it’s not too bad really bud , considering I guess the gusty petrol turning the 35s, atleast you don’t have to constantly watch EGTs an temps . Can’t go wrong I don’t think , cape looked awesome too champ , kids were frothing on the catch 👍🏼

Put an FTE in it. :) Just did that to our 105. FTE with the 5 speed gated automatic transmission. ;) If you still want it all mechanical, go for an FT instead!

@@MatTwentyEight So it was originally an hzj105 2007 model then a few years back, the previous owner swapped it for a very fresh 60t kms 1HD FT manual. Drove it till 110k. Last year we were able to purchase a crashed 100 fte with the 5 speed matic with about 120t kms on the clock. I now swapped the FT for the FTE. Engine and tranny along with the computers and other bits like dual AC. HAHA!

@@miggymiranda4220yeah nice work. I’ll keep an eye out and look at engine ideas but for right now, few mods to get it going well offroad. Maybe some lockers 🤔😎

@@MatTwentyEight agreed on this. Just spend it on improvements on what you currently have. Lockers would be great! The only reason why we did the swap is because it was a good deal for us. If it wasn't then we would have left it as is. :)

Don't bag the 4.5 petrol I have one in my 80 series bloody awesome motor a bit thirsty but depends how you drive it have a great trip 😜

Stephen, I’m bloody loving it more and more as I’m using it. Surprised at the power and now turning 35s. Yep thirsty but for how it goes, almost worth it! 💪🏻
