My Name is simon and welcome to my baking RU-vid channel.
Baking to me is all about having fun and making delicious but also simple bakes. I started RU-vid during isolation (hence the name) as a way of encouraging my nephew and nieces to bake. I made my first video and it was too big to send via WhatsApp, so instead I created a RU-vid account and posted it on here. I couldn't believe the response I received from my video, I woke up the next day after posting it and I had 5 subscribers and over 100 views, I was blown away and I wanted to make more and more. I watch lots of baking channels and they always focus on the same thing -- perfection-- to me this is not what baking is about. getting messy and having fun is what this channel is about. You won't see me using expensive mixers or other expensive equipment. what you see is what you get. if my cake comes out ruined or burnt you will see it :) I hope you enjoy my videos and like always......take care.

Expected this to be an all in one cake when I saw it had baking powder added. I have just found your channel, and am so glad I have. PS. I quite like the lines and criss crosses on the top.
This is Paul Holliwoods recipe except for one difference. He calls for 140mls water, you say 100mls.As someone who has just been up to her eyes in chewing gum dough I would say you are right. I didn't even use his 140 mls and it was a sticky mass. Next time 100mls it is and I will then see if it needs extra.
I see this is an old video from 2 yrs ago, and was looking for a lemon cake to make and found this,I enjoyed watching your video and will look out for more.I’m going to make this tomorrow hope it turns out as good as yours.
I was just looking how to make flapjack and came across you video. Great video real down to earth bloke nice to see someone joke about aswell as do some baking.. Flapjacks look pukka I shall give them a go 👍🏻
lol those quarters were thirds!...........saying that, i was drooling like a fucking bulldog watching you make them, and when you munched on one i nearly fainted!
My fave! I crave them and head for McDonalds bakery on Argyle Street in Glasgow to gorge on them. Not available in Canada, so thanks for the video. I also like them with coconut in the icing. Cheers
