For some reason my lazy Kate is too close to my wheel and the bobbins don’t slide in easy at all. Not sure what I’ve done wrong and I have no left over parts. 😢
It sounds like you have the base on the wrong way round - see the video at around 15:00. You'll need to remove this from the upright, rotate it and re-attach.
I agree with others who have said this is the clearest explanation/demonstration of what is actually happening when weaving. Thank you so much. Weaving videos are such a help to me.
Thank you so much for this. I’m assembling mine right now and I got to step 5 and was like, “You want me to smack a hexagon screw into a round hole that doesn’t fit. Um no. Clearly I’m reading this wrong.” But glad to see it is actually that and it works. Haha!
Oh gosh, thank you so much. I would have been completely lost without your help. Your video made a huge difference in my frustration level. You really were a life saver.
Thanks for your video. So many people said this was easy to do but I was definitely confused at times. The springs and and tension fishing wire part almost had me in tears! I watched your video a few times for guidance so thanks again!
Very, very helpful video. Thank you! It's complete and detailed and I can pause it while I'm fiddling with the smaller parts. Greetings from Australia.
Thank you so much, I too just wrapped my yarn backwards, included my reed in the wrap 🫣🤦🏼♀️. What a mess! Your tutorial was very helpful, I am new at weaving and the warping has been a stumbling block for me. I am anxious to start anew with more confidence, thank you 🙏🏻 🎉
This is really great. Thank you so much! This is obviously the “newer” model RH loom (double heddle). I hope it’s similar enough to the older model I’ve had in storage for years and am about to assemble. 🤞
Thank you for great instructions. I do have one question regarding the heddles, did you cut the loops on the remaining bunches prior to putting the frames into the castle?
Great video! I have a dislocated elbow so had to get an ex husband involved (aged 79 with a bit of fogetfulness). He was trained as a fitter in his youth back in the 50s. We both enjoyed putting this together. Neither of us could have understood the paper instructions as we are both old school, so thank you so much.
This really helped me because this is the same loom I bought. However, I wish I could have seen more clearly what you meant by tying in a "loose" knot. I tried several times to see, but I couldn't. I realized I interpreted it incorrectly, but I hope I understand now. Thanks for the help!
Thank you so very much for your help with putting together my loom. Your video was so helpful. I would never have been able to put it together with the instructions alone.
Thank you 🙏 so much. I had no clue I find it easier to learn by watching the demonstration. You are very good at making videos because you get to the point and explain the good the bad and everything else 😊
I've assembled a few wheels before now including one Ashford but this one was a challenge I would have struggled with without your very helpful video. Thank you very much.
Hi Carolyn. The heddles are a bit tricky. The big loops in the heddles (at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GUa9alSHGIQ.html) need to go over the ends of the two metal rods on the frame. You take the pins out and slot them through the side of the loom to hold the beater in place when you are threading the reed.
