I agree with others who have said this is the clearest explanation/demonstration of what is actually happening when weaving. Thank you so much. Weaving videos are such a help to me.
I am in the US and plan on purchasing the 32 inch Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom in a couple of weeks. I come from a quilting background so weaving is all new to me. I have been watching hundreds of videos for months on these looms and I have to say that I have learned more from your couple videos than any others that I have watched!!! Great video. I just spent 3 days trying to warp my LeClerc Rigid Heddle Loom. I warped it backward, took it apart twice, and spent 3 days trying to untangle the warp. The warp is now burning in my fireplace after realizing I was spending way too much time and going nowhere. I’m going to try again with a smaller warp until I know what I’m doing. Your video was the most helpful of all 100+ I have watched. Thank you!
I feel your pain! I just got a Knitter's loom and warped it yesterday. Folded the loom and tension went all to heck and gone, threads overlapped UGH! Today will try to untangle the mess (maybe the weaving goddess will take pity) if I can and try again. I totally agree that this is the best of all the many I have watched. Clear visibility of the over under (which frankly threw me till I had the 'lightbulb' moment of what was meant. And it was soooo nice to see the process solo without a helper. So annoying when the narrator says 'Now have someone help you wind on...' without giving any hint of how to do it by yourself. Thank you!!
You, sir, are an excellent teacher. I have spent hours trying to warp my Ashford rigid heddle loom to no avail. Your video is so much easier to understand than the one the company has posted. It is so much easier to understand. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you so much for this video. I have just received my loom from you and put it together. Tried to use the Ashford video but it was too noisy, fast , and confusing for a mere beginner. This was perfect. My loom is all warped up and ready to go!!
Thank you for the tutorial and it’s interesting but it seems with all those pieces of cardboard you are wasting a lot of warp. Why not just use a few strands of scrap yarn instead? Or did I miss something in the reason for that cardboard at the end?
You could use some scrap yarn, yes, but the cardboard does give you a firmer edge to beat against, and the thickness means your warps straighten out more quickly.
