Bro get yourself a HALO battery jumper/light/multi usb/plug for 120v and it's about the size of a ps5 or xbox game case. Life saver when it comes to dead batteries
I have 3 now. I haven't been able to sit down and edit the video about them. I want to make 1 perfect one and one seattime car. The other is spare parts
Suggest taking them apart in front and redoing all that as it does.mattwr on these cars. Should also fully tighten the nut that holds all together first with wrench and socket in top then loosen the tension on your spring slowly and allign the top hat with the back before fully unloosening springs. May have fucked those really nice bearings
I forgot about this video when I went searching for FP replacement on here, good to know that when I get back to the red one that I’ll need to drop that tank all the way out 😅.
Don't forget. The Toyota Celica-Supra and Camry also had V6s in that era. The non turbo versions of course. Similar horsepower as well. None the less this is a great vehicle!
Was it in low power mode also? Limp mode ? Mine is in limp mode after not being driven , then I changed the tps now no crank :/ any recommendations… bad ass video btw
The only time I have ever been in reduced power mode was with the tps wires being sliced by a torn belt. No crank could be so many issues. My personal experience I needed a new ignition switch. I did not need to get a new key. The vats system could cause issues and so can column lock
I’m dealing with a 2001 Z06 with 35,333 miles on it. I’ve had it since 2002. Easter Sunday was first drive of the year and it ran fine on the way to my nieces. 16 miles. Halfway home it stalled and went into “Reduced Power” mode. Then it didn’t want to start at all. Towed 2.6 miles home. It did throw a P0335 code and I have a new Crank Shaft Position Sensor to install. The next day it started right up and it’s ran fine for short distances several times since. And after crawling under it two times, changing the CSPS means dropping the starter and exhaust to get at it. Ughh! Did you ever figure yours out? Hope so. Mines been living in the garage since then.
@stevez6499 that sounds about right for your situation. I never fixed it. I was too lazy to drop the starter and the exhaust. I waited until the engine was out to officially fix the problem lol. I've heard of the crank position sensor being inconsistent on these. Some people go ahead and change them if they are in there for anything else
@@car-nivores Thank you. If I had a lift it certainly would make it much easier to do. I do have a couple of friends with lifts but I’m almost afraid to drive that far to them and get stuck again while it’s hot. Might get a trailer from UHaul.
I've just purchased a cooper green 500 . Cannot wait until the weather gets better!! Just wondering, she's pretty mint, on 40,000 miles and been well looked after. Is £15k a reasonable price??
