My 5 songs for leaving school (Graduation) With a little help from my Friends - The Beatles Happy - Pharrell Williams School - Supertramp, Schools Out - Alice Cooper 74’ -75’ - The Connells
Love all the choices-- especially Billy and Billie lol. As a millennial of a certain age, I am compelled to say "Graduation (Friends Forever)" by Vitamin C.
Wow, that's a GREAT one! Rearviewmirror happens to be a very personal song to me (Russ) for many reasons but I totally see how you could apply it to being done with school.
Ooh I don't know about the outfits being goofy, I think they're kinda cute and period correct... better than the dull same, same is best today... I doubt in the future people would say how wonderful the fashion is in 2010 to 2024..
This is the exact same kind of robot server I have seen at my local Kawa Revolving Sushi (which also features a “monorail” system on which food is delivered!)
Buffett was introduced to me by my uncle. He’d play it every time we’d visit him in California! Over the last decade I’ve become quite a fan too. I don’t own everything, but I have 15 of his releases. Thanks for including “Bubbles Up.” That whole album was fantastic.
Saw Billy in Seattle a few weeks ago. He had the entire 40,000-person crowd whipped into a frenzy...until he did that song. Silence and cell phone lights. It was SURREAL. As a lifelong fan, this was truly touching to get to hear his newest music on what is most likely his final stadium tour. Unforgettable.
Genesis remixed Seconds Out and their whole catalog (the original mixes are gone). The Animals 2018 Remix was not that great and neither was the remix of Amused to Death by Roger Waters (James Guthrie altered them worse and re. Was up to Roger he will now use Nigel Godrich for remixing or producing his products from 2014 onwards. The Who remixed Live at Leeds and their catalog and on CD has become canon.
The woo-woos went back to 1974/75 performances of Dark Side and Roger had his female singers harmonize with either him or Paul Carrack or Doyle Brahmall II or Jonathan Wilson (recent tours). Only the live performances from 1977 was not with backing vocals nor was David Gilmour's solo tours of 1984 and 2015/16. He did jam on the track for 8-12 minutes, depending on which performance you heard.
I must find the 77 version, Now that you mentioned it, Thanks. He has a lot of cool charisma in a song called. FUNNY HOW TIME SLIPS AWAY. 1972. Live. From one thing to another.
Distortion can be reduced, but can't be completely removed. I've heard stuff that was really bad, before mastered, then at that point people are like l can fix it, not realising original was far worse.
that's a fair point. I know it can be reduced to some extent but it's such a bummer that Jim's vocals are the only big problem with the sound on this release.
This song was the last hit by Frankie Laine back in the summer of 69. But he still performed unto his mid 90s. Although written by Marty Robbins, Frankie's version is what inspired Elvis.
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast You will be disappointed with Frankie's take. But somehow Elvis was impressed with it. You can look/hear it privately, but it won't go over well with your viewers. For sentimental reasons you might appreciate Frankie singing "That's My Desire" at age 92 --two years before his death. Remarkable.
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast Gorgeous name. I think it is great that reactors communicate with their pets while sharing a video. Thanks for praising Elvis.❤️
This is a very intimate Song by Elvis a rare 💎 Gem. Elvis Presley "IT'S STILL HERE" 1971 Elvis At The Piano 🎹 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GZczCi5YaaY.htmlsi=nkZn8wglJnFb7vG5 Eight hours into a recording session that started at 6 pm on May 19th, 1971, in Nashville, Elvis is sitting alone at the piano at 2 o'clock in the morning singing one of his favorites: Ivory Joe Hunter's "It's Still Here". He's been playing this for years at home planning to record it Sometime. This night, and understanding the magic of the moment, producer Felton Jarvis turns on the tape machine...
Oh that's good to know. For all of the Michael Jackson I've listened to, I don't think I've ever heard the PYT demo. I will look it up and take a listen :)
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast heard it for the first time about a year ago. Went on a Michael Jackson demo binged. Cool to listen to some of those demos being a fan that I am and never got to listen to those demos until now lol.
Solid list - great inclusion of Bubbles Up. That's become the posthumous anthem of Parrot Heads around the world. Jimmy Buffett was much more than the "cheeseburger and margarita guy". My mom had his greatest hits on cassette in the car, but also had a few of his other albums. Got to see experience him live 29 times and consider myself very lucky to have also met him. "send ya off to college, try to gain a little knowledge but all you want to do is learn how to score!" I'll add some 5 of my own: Manana Migration Livingston Saturday Night God's Own Drunk (more of story rather than a song) Barefoot Children
I love margaritas and cheeseburgers, and I think they're a great entryway to all the other amazing things Jimmy was able to do! Bubbles Up makes me cry every.single.time.
I can honestly say that I've never really sat down and watched any Elvis..minus some movies. Dude was definitely a great performer. That voice was pretty butter
Thanks to the ingenious Marty Pasetta for building the runway for Elvis to get to the audience & to Elvis who told Pasetta to build it when Parker said no. Written by singer Marty Robbins w-an interesting backstory.
to be clear the UYI back off bitch version hasn't been recorded long time before UYI recording. Like a lot of other songs yes it was there back in 86 they played it live and there's a good demo with Adler on it but the version on the album was recorded at the same time as the rest of the record
I can't say my parents played a lot of Buffett when I was growing up, but they did play a few. I believe that Bubbles up was played. Very great vid for intro into him. Rock on!
I (Russ) was the same way: my parents never played much of his stuff at all. So all I ever heard was the "hits". I'm glad Lauren knows a LOT more about him than I do because he's got a lot of great songs!
I don't care how many backup singers he had.. You heard Elvis.. his voice was so incredible. And talk about sexy.. the man just had IT... he was gorgeous and had fun on stage. His live performances were better than studio versions
oh so glad i found you today.. you totally changed my mood.. seen Al quite a few times.. loved him since i was 15 in 1987.. first CD i bought was Als.. thank you..
We're glad you found us too. We're happy that we changed your mood! We have a ton of positive, music related videos on our channel and Lauren has her own Weird Al related podcast too :)
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast See yuh later trash cans! 😂. Hooter was a real hoot. After Jackson died in 09, I was privileged to get to see the return of Captain EO in Disneyland again in 2010. Now it’s a thing of the past 😔. Along with many other Disney treasures. It’s sad to see what Disney is doing now and turning in to. Definitely lost touch of their roots
Just found this channel and honestly surprised by the name. I wonder if Mike Muir has claimed any copyright claims on it seeing as thats the name of one of his bands, Infectious Grooves.
Our audio podcast and RU-vid channel has been around for almost 5 years. Neither have anything whatsoever to do with the band Infectious Grooves, nor have we ever insinuated anything like that. In any case, we hope you find something you like among the 700+ videos we've published and 3+ years of audio podcast episodes :)
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast not hating or anything. Just was curious if any of that had ever come up. I know how easily bands and labels love to throw around copyright strikes and such here on RU-vid. Definitely checking out the channel!
Elvis liked this song so much that as you may know, he repeated 'the whole song again' in concert many times! Wonderful reaction from both you young people.😀
Arnel is such a humble man I really admire the way he respects everyone the band and his charity work he had a troubled past so grateful he left that all behind and kicked addictions arse my so. Is a recovering addict I’m so happy Arnel was accepted into Journey and does all this charity work Way to go Arnel I love that he doesn’t let stardom change him way to Go Arnel love your voice and how humble you are blessings to you and your family and those you help.
