We're David & Sondra Kahanamoku experiencing North America as Full-time RV Travelers in a custom SpaceCraft trailer called Orion, a Smart car named Pathfinder and a Volvo semi-truck we refer to as Voyager. As RV Fulltime living since January 2016, we have experience that has been gained along the way that we want to share with the RV community and give back to those curious about this type of lifestyle. We'll share tips and information about traveling in general and in particular with a very large rig. We also want to demonstrate to everyone that it's possible to explore this great country of ours in a custom 47' fifth wheel and not compromise on the path you choose. We believe the Journey is the Destination, so come along with us to discover What's Next.
Those May Flies! Ugh 🪰 we literally had to buy a paint scraper at a convenience store to scrape them off in Minnesota! (Scraper that gets paint off glass) worked! 1995
Appreciate the comment, Tom. Keeping it real and just traveling in our home. Not trying to show off, just living our best retirement life. Thanks for watching the channel.
Love watching you but sure wish you would take a fall trip up to the New England states. Or even in the summer. I know its not popular for people retired but would love to see those states. It’s your journey so you should go where you both love.
Thanks, Barbara. We plan to hit the eastern seaboard and Mid-Atlantic states in 2026 with a little bit next year. That will be fun...including Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
We have. a 28 ft class C and I am on the road for about 5 months out of the year. We have been on some narrow country roads. I couldn’t imagine taking your rig on some of the roads David goes on.
You have been full time for about 9 yrs now? I have just started this year watching you and subscribe to your channel and love it. I guess I have a lot to catch up on
Thank you for showing Cedar Point! I took my son there with some friends when he was 10. He is a few weeks from 33 now and is a Daddy. We live in Lafayette IN. The park looks familiar not like it’s changed too much.
Haven't been to Cedar Point since we moved south in '81. Is the old old Blue Streak coaster still there? I've also been to Plain City, OH Der Dutchman but was disappointed not to meet any Amish/Mennonite family there. I'm from Elkhart County and family is all around! A nephew designed and installed the lighting at the Air Space Museum. I surely want to visit. Thanks for taking us places where we've been and places we have not. Dies Sondra put her parks maps in scrapbooks? Mine are souvenirs, cheaper than stickers. Love watching you both! God bless, as always.I
Thanks, Karen. The Blue Streak is still running. Not many Amish family at Der Dutchman but food was tasty. That's pretty cool about your nephew and the lighting. Glad you enjoyed it.
Sondra uses the maps in her journal when available but many places are starting to go with apps and online maps so stickers are convenient and a nice design too. She uses both on most of her spreads.
I so love the fact that you all are able to take the whole world with you. I love you 2 and I really love traveling with you all to all the different locations.Happy and blessed traveling to u both.😇😇😇👍🏾💯
Thanks, Clarence. We love the ability to change our backyard with the seasons. Super excited to have you along on the journey with us. Stay cool this summer!
Loved this episode on the Air Museum! Both hubby and I love both vintage and modern planes too. Thanks for putting this on our radar for when we hit the road full time! And, I’m with you Sondra, quash those pesky lil boogers!😉👍🏼Be safe out there guys!❤~Wendy
Not yet... but there's always a first time! We try to scout it out as best we can on satellite view but sometimes there are surprises. We try to have a backup plan in place.
HEY GUYS BEAUTIFUL RIDE TO DAY FANTASTIC & SUCH A BLESSING THIS VIDEO GOD BLESS ALL THE MILITARY GOD BLESS YOU GUYS !!! I JUST LOVE YOU GUYS 🇺🇸🚂🇺🇸🚂🇺🇸🚂🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸✊✊🙏
I'm here drinking my coffee, watching your old videos, and OMG, that is exactly what I wanted to do to fix the shoe problem, but my wife said no 😂. I showed her your video, and now she agrees with us 😂. We purchased the same Super C with the same floor plan, and you just gave me so many ideas. Now I'm going to play with some water, if you know what I mean 😉. Thank you very much.
Glad we could "visit" while you had your morning coffee. It's a good "shoe" idea and works for us. You've got to be sure on the height of each shelf and match it to your shoe height. Have fun in the water!
A big thank you for sharing your experiences and all the time it takes to prepare the video for us. We love visiting museums of all kinds as we R.V. across the states and Canada. Sondra, we know you are a very smart cookie, but holy whaa, you being on the teams who created the aviation electronics for many of the planes we use today. Truly awesome! 🤓😉💜
Thanks for watching, Yvette! Yep, Sondra is one smart cookie...especially since she married me!😁😂🤣😎 We really enjoy the varied experiences we have and love sharing them. Be safe as you travel this summer.
#CedarPoint looks great, never been there tho. I’m located near the #WhiteWaterMemorial Indiana State Park on the North end of #BrookvilleLake. I don’t go there even tho I have a #DisabledVeterans pass. If you’re in #DaytonOhio not too far away. I really enjoy your photos and videos in your travels of places I’ve never been, TY.
Museum 👏 in mid canada we call may flies - fish flies. When they swarm & die at particular beaches/near water they absolutely stink! Wanted to go swimming with our family but a big NO! As to the cemeteries…our kids family farm has a couple of stones with unreadable names and we assume they were family from past generations. There r stringent laws about burial these days so your questions were valid. Another great job of videography. Sondra must have had an interesting job designing. Thank u 🇨🇦 ❤
Haven’t been to the Air Force Museum for quite a while since the hubs and I moved from Indiana but it was a really neat thing to see😊 Der Dutchman is my favorite place to eat and only a half an hour away from us. It’s always busy but worth the wait! If you ever get a chance to go to Berlin, OH, make sure to go. Rolling hills and gorgeous in the fall! Lots of Amish there and owned businesses. It’s beautiful country and you will fall in love with it. We go every year to camp😊 Only 2 1/2 hrs. from us too! Safe travels😊
Ha Ha, 'You don't want to get in a fight with me'. Sondra, those are fighting words. I wonder if the room dividers on the presidential plane were bullet proof? Were they glass/plexiglass? They were probably installed for privacy; but, maybe for security too.
Wife & I enjoy your videos . We have traveled a lot with our 45’ Momentum & dually Ram with a total length is 63’ . You have a beautiful rig & I’m wondering your total overall length ?
I lived in NE Indiana and visited Cedar Point every year. Haven’t been back for over 20 years, but with the exception of newer roller coasters, it looked the same. My father was a navigator on a B-17…same as the Memphis Belle. He crash landed (and survived) in England on his 23rd mission upon return from a bombing mission in Germany. I visited the museum in Dayton 7 years ago as part of a reunion on his squadron (306th in Thurleigh, England). Thanks for the memories
So fun! We took our 14 year old roller coaster-loving grandson to Cedar Point last Summer and stayed a week during July 4th. We went into the park 3 days and enjoyed amenities the other days, including fireworks on the beach on the 4th. It was hot and crowded, but wonderful!!! You are correct about the Cedar Point Ap: it's a great tool for managing your time. It also helps to have a grandson obsessed with roller coasters, who researched everything ahead of the trip. I so envy your time there with that lovely, cool weather....but I don't envy the mayflies!
After riding those roller coasters I expected to see your sunglasses all crooked on your faces and your hair all messed up. But you were both still well groomed and respectable. 🤣 Great video guys. Ohio is beautiful, and the USAF museum was spectacular. Travel safely.
