You are talking Shit. Hua Hin is my happy place. If I didn't know better I would avoid Hua Hin after watching this. Please be honest Hua Hin is awesome. Remove this video
I ´ve been one time in Hua Hin up to now and have only good memories. It´s a more quiet region compared to the usual tourist spots in Thailand but also very nice. In this video I got some interesting hints for my next visit in future. Thanks!
You have to tap on with your Opal card or credit card to get onto the train platform. That pays for your train journey when you tap off at your destination
What you called the Tanjung Sari was in fact the Besakih Beach - we've stayed there a few times pre-covid; I love the pool. Edit: I see someone else noticed this but didn't name the hotel in question. Cheers.
@nowgettheretravel6877 I looked up things to do in bali since I'm going to visit an online friend who's a resident of Denpasar so I'm definitely going to ask her to explain this to me lol
I've been to the beach once. The horses pee and poo on the sand, so I didn't want to go again. In Finland it's illegal to even take a dog to the beach, let alone a horse! 😁
@@nowgettheretravel6877 There are 38 beaches in Helsinki alone. Most of them are quite small though. This past summer there were more than 70 days in Finland when the day's maximum temperature exceeded 25C. Right now it's 20 degrees in Helsinki.
Yes true! Sadly the Elephant Village in Hua Hin raise money by taking tourists for 20 minute elephant rides or you can buy a basket of banana or cucumber for 100B each. The Hutsudin Elephant Foundation does not take tourists for rides. You can pay to go walk with an elephant through nature or to feed them.
Been thinking of bringing more horses and camels for tourists to ride. Anything but elephants will do for wildlife activists. Elephants are outcasted for tourists riding. That’s left Thais dumbfounded. 😂
Nice review. I wonder if the WiFi is free only for the first 24 hrs then payment after that or if it's free each day and if you want faster you need to pay? Maybe I missed it when you reviewed it.
@@nowgettheretravel6877 I know it was a long time ago but do you remember if the bed was comfy ? I heard they push the 2 beds together for a 1 bed option.
You are making me so jealous Scott. Elephants are my mum's favourite animal. I will eventually get a detailed Elephants head with piercing blue eyes tattooed on me when my mum passes.
In the Hilton hotel, the lower floors rooms are cheaply decorated and falling apart. Get the executive rooms on the top floors. The hotel breakfast was better than the one in the Grand Hyatt in Bangkok. I hope Paris Hilton will get the Hotel remodeled soon.
They are still going through renovations, they have been going for 2 years now. most of the top floors are renovated, they are finishing the lower floors now. The buffet breakfast was awesome, they have now moved it to a temporary space while they renovate the main restaurant. The staff in the breakfast buffet at the best.
Looks great thanks for sharing, looking at staying in Hua Hin for 3-4 days next year, look forward to see which hotels you recommend on the beach but close enough to walk into the town for markets, shops and bars. Enjoy your holiday. cheers :)
I highly recommend the Hilton as it is in the perfect location next to Soi Bintabaht, the main nightlife area of Hua Hin, around 50 small beer bars on a block next to Hilton. There are many cheaper options for hotels in that area near Hilton. Fresh Hotel is right in frint of Hilton, looks like a 3 star hotel.
@@nowgettheretravel6877 Excellent sounds like a perfect location beer bars one side and beach other side.! what can go wrong. thanks so much. take care. :)
Hey Scott another great video love Soi 11 & 13 Nana area always plenty to do and see. If you like a good bakery patisserie opposite the Radisson Suites you showed there’s a joint called Beyond Bread a French guy I think he is bakes all himself, very good quality and the coffee is very good as well. Enjoy keeping posting. Cheers 😮
Thanks for the tip! I didn't even see the bakery. So hard to walk, talk and point the camera. I miss so much! I'll be back in Bangkok in a few weeks. I'll go check it out. I do like a good French bakery.
Looking forward to seeing you catch a canal boat ride! I was surprised to see a Fraser Suites near the end of Soi 11. Not sure why I was surprised though. These sidestreets sure are interesting and hold all kinds of pleasant surprises. Stay safe and have fun!
There are loads of surprises down the side Sois. I've been staying in this lower Sukhumvit area for the last 5 stays in Bangkok and I'm still discovering new places to explore.
Had to go to Brizzy earlier this year for a biopsy. They were working on the tracks, so it was a bus trip instead. Actually. that was fine. On the way back, the train around midday was booked out so I had to get a ticket on the tilt train. That was the first time I'd been on a train in near on 50 years. Only had a normal seat ... not business class. I found it super comfortable anyway. For me, I thought that the food was a bit pricey and also due to surgeries, didn't feel like anything. (except the mars bar that I had in my bag and the bottle of water that I always carry with me) But I agree with you.A great experience. You mentioned about the high speed. To tell you the truth, I didn't even notice that. The trip was quiet, smooth and comfortable Thanks for posting the video ))))))
Good video really enjoyed it, a first time viewer.! just come back from Bangkok we stayed at the Aira Hotel above the Mullis sports bar it was a fantastic place to stay nice size room, very clean, nice rooftop pool and bar. Not the cheapest place I think we paid $200 AUD a night but no complaints. What a fabulous Soi is number 11 has all you want on the one street. Cheers and all the best.! 🍺 😄
I usually stay a bit further up the road at the InterContinental or Holiday Inn, but normally only for quick overnight transits. So I've never had much of a chance to really explore the sidestreets, unfortunately. But, hey....seeing you point out all these interesting food and hotel options really makes me want to fly to Bangkok soon ;)
Please add to this list _Retro Kitchen and Bar_ and also _Teras Retro Sport Bar & Grille_ just next door. Both are thoroughly recommended. I live in Sanur and Retro Kitchen and Bar is where I go when I need Western food. Cafe Smorgas is also thoroughly recommended as too is the Wicked Parrot.
Nice vlog I'm looking forward to getting back there, Btw that vacant block was where Cheap Charlies Bar used to be along with a load of great restaurants and accommodations from hotels to SUK11 Backpackers and traditional Restaurant I kinder miss that more traditional style Bangkok
Nice one. I only started to stay in Sukhumvit a few years so so didn't get to see what is used to be like more than 3 years ago. I had heard that Cheap Charlie's was an awesome bar to visit
@@nowgettheretravel6877 thank you so much!! curious..in your opinion is March good weather? Also wondering, what the bug situation is there with so much tropical surroundings 😳thanks so much!
March is the very end of the wet season so will be hot and humid. Expect maybe afternoon showers but you should have sunny mornings. Be prepared for mosquitos. All time of year you need to wear mosquito repellent. Make sure you put it on late afternoon and into the evening.
@@nowgettheretravel6877 THANK YOU!!!! I can handle mosquitos... glad that is all you mentioned..I've heard there can be bugs such as cockroaches and the likes...I will def be brining my mosquito repellent!! Can't tell you how much I appreciate your insight! thank you again ;)
